Wow!!! What a location! A little out of the way, but who cares when you find a special like this! The staff was so friendly! I think it may be family owned. Dinner was amazing, and breakfast was wonderful! The place was HUGE! But one of the most special parts was that there was this little hot spring that sat just above the hotel parking lot! We had it to ourselves, and it was an amazing experience! Do not hesitate to drive a bit out of the way to come here. You will not regret it!

Best of the best property. I would strongly recommend everyone to stay in this hotel at least once. Hotel has every amenity you can think of. One of the best place to see NORTHERN LIGHTS while having geothermal bath. Extremely grateful to Thorey ( not sure if I spelled the name correctly) but he is one of the best person we met in Iceland. His and the hotel’s hospitality was extremely amazing. He went above and beyond to serve us meal late at night. He was very friendly and even showed us the around. He took us to the point in the hotel from where we could see northern lights. Meeting him felt like we met God that day.

Lovely hotel and surroundings. The family used to have an overnight stay years ago and we were surprised to see how it has been renovated. Every detail has been thought through, to create good athmospere and entertaining for families. Swimming pool, hot tups, play room for kids and grown ups, cosy/quiet room with massage and super nice living room area for evening hang out. We highly recommend and will for sure visit again!

Breakfast was tasty and the staff was lovely. We had dinner in the dining room and it was very good. The property was clean and beautiful. The waterfall and geothermal pool were wonderful bonuses. We enjoyed relaxing with our friends on the beautiful patio, it was wonderful.

Coffee cups could have been bigger. Maybe that is a regional thing. Everything was lovely.

Amazing location. Just 2.5 hours from Reykjavík, easily accessible with good roads and fast free Wifi in the rooms. Remote hotel nestled in a beautiful mountain range. Perfect for star gazing or spotting the Aurora with literally no light pollution. Swimming pool heated from the hot spring water. As is the natural plunge pool situated above the hotel and below an icy waterfall. Amazing experience. Should really be a 4 or 5 star hotel with all it's facilities, but the main stars are definitely the owners. Great hospitality, both were very kind and friendly.

The staff/owners were amazing. The food was FAR above and beyond. Would come back just to eat in the restaurant! Loved the history of the area and excellent hiking!

The beds were a little uncomfortable- could do with some upgrades.

The location was beautiful! The food (we ate breakfast there and one dinner) was fantastic! The staff were so nice!

The facilities were showing their age, although it looked like some parts had been updated. The shower room that was next to our room flooded with water coming into our room. As soon as we alerted staff they cleaned it up and fixed the drain so everything was taken care of in an expedient manner.

The staff were attentive and the owner was gracious with warm and inviting hospitality, making you feel like family. The fish and lamb dishes were made with local ingredients and presented beautifully. The desserts were made with locally sourced ingredients too. A great incentive was the hot bath right outside of the hotel, within a pastoral and rural setting. We will be coming back again. Very generous and warm place.

Nice spacious and modern room. Good location, off the main roads but not out in the sticks! Ate in the on site restaurant for our evening meal, lovely food, atmosphere and staff. Good games room, relaxation room and communal lounge.

Shame the pool wasn't open when we were there as the geopool just off site wasn't as warm as we hoped with snow on the ground!

Staff was very accommodating. Stayed until late for us to check in and gave us a tour of the hotel.

Wi-Fi was weak; couldn’t connect to it from our room. The shared bathroom situation is also confusing. The detailed description says we would have a private bathroom, and we though that meant we would have our own bathroom, but it ended up being a shared bathroom.
