The room was spacious, and the bathroom was one of the best during our 17-day excursion around Iceland. We got in really late and found our room key on the front desk counter with instructions for checking in and breakfast. We met a young man who appeared to be cleaning. He told me to call him if we needed something. We did need ice. So I tried calling, but we weren't able to connect. But on one of my trips through the lobby, I almost ran smack into him. When I explained my ice need, he went into the kitchen and got me a load of ice. So nice! Loved the breakfast.

I can't remember what we had requested in terms of beds. Normally, we prefer to have one bed, and in Iceland, that generally means two twins pushed together. These were just two twin beds. But, hey, I slept fine. So, not a big deal.

The hotel in general was very good. The staff were lovely. The room was very big. The bathroom was beautiful.

As Iceland is in daylight throughout the night most of the hotels I stayed in had black out curtains. This hotel did not and the curtains were inadequate in this regard. Furthermore the bathroom window was huge and had no blinds. The bathroom door was glass and there was a tall mirror in bedroom opposite the bathroom door. Consequently, the daylight from the bathroom window came through the glass door and reflected off the mirror into the open-plan bedroom area. This meant the bedroom was in daylight almost all night.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The size of the family room was perfect for us, providing ample space and comfort. The location was easy to find using Google Maps, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, featuring some delightful local delicacies. Additionally, the hot tubs near the hotel were a nice and cozy touch, adding to our overall relaxation. Highly recommended!

However, there were a few let downs. The paper cups in the room for hot drinks were not ideal for us especially for the kids. Additionally, there was a lack of closet space to unpack our stuff. Despite these minor issues, we still had an enjoyable stay.

A very well situated hotel. Stunning views. Excellent breakfast. Good restaurant food. Comfy beds. Good sized room and bathroom. Very clean. Good soundproofing between rooms.

The room was stiflingly hot, with very poor ventilation. The sun streamed in for the approximately 20hrs of daylight at this time of year, and there was no way of cooling the room. It was far too hot to sleep. The vent in the bathroom was sealed over, so the whole room steamed up when the shower was used. This aspect was most unfortunate, since otherwise this hotel was excellent. But a good night's sleep was not had!

Large spacious room with comfy beds and a hot shower made for a restful stay after a long day of hiking. The hotel Interior and guest rooms were updated and very clean which seemed to be the norm for all of the hotels where we stayed in Iceland. Staff were happy, friendly and very helpful. It snowed overnight and the front desk clerk looked up the road conditions for us before we departed. Also shared local favorites and must see attractions nearby or on our route. Dinner was excellent and a nice buffet breakfast gave us the perfect start the day.

No complaints. Enjoyed our stay.

Our room itself was spacious and had plenty of room to spread out. The layout arrangement was a little different, but the bed was comfortable and it was pretty clean (just noticed a few small things in the bathroom). There were plenty of hooks to hang things up. There was a sitting area in the room with a tv. Robes were also provided!

This hotel doesn't look very appealing from the outside, but it has nicely remodeled rooms, even if they are kinda weirdly laid out. The breakfast was lacking based on our personal tastes (not a big fan of smoked fish/meats) but the yogurt and bread was good! Nice for it to be included at the price point.

Great overnight stay for our road trip when heading towards Akureyri from Reykjavik. Room was bigger than expected and Dinner in the restaurant was lovely.

Stayed in summer when it doesn't get really dark and the curtains aren't great at stopping some of the light, not too much of a problem for us as we were so tired but bring eye masks if you want it pitch black.

Very nice staff , Good beds , Very good food and service in the restaurant , Reasonably priced compared to other hotels along Ring Road 1. (Iceland is generally very expensive) , Easy free parking , Fine room.

Quite hot in the room at arrival (No Air Condition) But ok in evening after having widows and doors open for a while to get temperature down.

Can we please celebrate the lady at the front office! She was amazing and made us feel welcomed when we did our check in. She told us a bit about the history of the hotel, where we find everything, etc. The place looks a bit spooky, but it is actually pretty cool and the food in the own restaurant was great. Check out the Bar in the old basketball room.

The front office girl at the check out could have been a bit friendlier and punctual.

A much nicer room than what you would expect when seeing the building from outside. Lot of foreign TV channels available if you want to watch while waiting for the northern lights :) Great breakfast!!!

A huge bright lamp just in front of our window, making it impossible to see the aurora from our room. There are 3 hot tubs which were cold, so we couldn't use them. No waffle maker on the second morning breakfast.
