The price practically corresponds to the quality. The cabin was tight for four adults. The bathroom shows great signs of wear and tear. The sofa bed is already worn out, I literally slept in a hole. This is sufficient for one night, for more nights I would look for another accommodation. But I definitely can't say that anything was downright wrong. The kitchen was practically and tastefully furnished! We chose this accommodation because of the seals that are nearby. We had no idea that it would be part of the campsite, so the road would be closed. I recommend checking the campsite's website before visiting the seals to see if it is open. The surroundings of the accommodation are beautiful. Within two hours we were met with rain, snow and sun :-)

Good location. Cottages are a great size for a couple. We were a group of 3 couples and had 3 cottages, so for us was perfect to have one cottage each. Big enough that all 6 of us gathered in one cottage to play cards and it did not feel cramped.
The showers…they need an upgrade. No lip between shower and the rest of the bathroom so water can and does go all over. The curtain needs a way to be attached or clipped to something when showering. And yes because no water barrier you can see mold on the wall and bottom of shower area. Fix this, clean it up and it’s a 9

Quaint tiny house. Plenty of kitchen supplies to cook meals. Comfortable temperature control. Comfortable beds although not big enough for two adults on lower bunk. Did utilise the fold out bed to allow one bed per adult. Loved to outlook to the sea, mountains, waterfalls and paddocks with horses and sheep.
Minimal window treatments, this seems to be a common theme in holiday accommodation. Struggled with the roller blind on front door when leaving for the day. Previous damage to the blind indicated we were not the only ones.

The location of the cottages is amazing. Set above the town and spaced out enough to retain privacy. We were worried we would be cold but the radiator was more than enough to keep us warm in the cold weather. Very cute and cosy inside. Plenty of appliances to easily self cater. But be prepared for limited store opening hours if you arrive without provisions! We would definitely stay again, ensuring we were properly prepared.
There were appliances provided such as a kettle however, no tea or coffee. We understood that this was a self catering accommodation but the only shop in town has limited opening hours (closed at 2pm on a Saturday during low season) so we were unable to buy any. Perhaps some tea and coffee could be provided with information on the store opening hours?

Cozy, well equipped kitchen, smart TV with YouTube and Netflix. The bed was comfy. Quiet and private little cabin for aurora (but we didn’t see any due to bad weather)
The customer service was the only problem. We hadn’t got any check in details even on the check in day. we didn’t have a local phone number and couldn’t make a call to them, so we tried to ask via email and bookings but got no reply. Luckily we bumped into our neighbour who helped us to make a call and get the details. They told us they also got to call the CS for details just before their arrival.

As usual, wonderful cottage, refubished and a bit renovated (well, it's the 6th time we stay at hvammstangi cottages, and they're always great)! Plenty of space inside, cottage and bathroom spotless clean, nice kitchen, microwave and lot of pots , pans and dishware. Nice sofabed (we use it as sofa, and very comfortable for 3 adults). Smart-TV, nice bunk-bed (two people under and one above, but very comfortable nonetheless). Best thing? northen lights! it was our 4th time during autumn-winter and we always were lucky to see them! this time as well. No artificial lights aroud, just nature and its wonderful magic! 20 minutes drive and you could see seals in their natural enviroment, so lovely!! definitely we'll be back! thank you so much again!!
everything was perfect!

The cottages were cute and in a great scenic location! Easy instructions and easy to find. It is like staying in a tiny home and they utilize the space well. Unique experience! Nice for one night before going around the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.
Wish coffee was provided. Would have been a nice touch. The Wifi was not great and kept losing connection. Also very tiny shower so if you are a bigger person, might be a mess. lol Price was kind of high since we stayed in entire apartments with more space for less.

We loved everything about this cabin. Unfortunately, due to a change in weather and road closures, we had to pack up a day earlier than planned. The owner ( I presume) dropped the children off some sledges and they had so much fun before we left! I certainly want to come back and I would stay in again. We are a family of 5, 2 adults, 3 children and was perfect size and location for us. (Sorry, we left in such a hurry- we realised we left some meat in the fridge! Bacon/ burgers)

This cabin was a wonderful, quiet place to stay. I enjoyed the nature right outside and took photos of local birds and horses.
The only downside was the bottom bunk was small for 2 people. We are in our 70's so couldn't climb to a top bunk. We enjoyed our stay here despite the small bottom bunk. A "neighbor" asked if we had any salt in our kitchen. We didn't so maybe a few basics provided in the kitchen area would be nice.

Well equipped cabin - we stayed in several like it, and this was the best equipped. Nice and quiet part of town, and very convenient stop on the Ring Road on the way towards Akureyri. Great spot for viewing the northern lights, which put on a wonderful show for us. Good TV and beds certainly adequate for our stay, despite the below...
...my wife and I are not small and fitting two of us into the closed-in double bed was a challenge which led to me sleeping on the couch for much of the night. Happily, this was comfortable! Signs saying "do not park on the grass" - we couldn't tell what was grass, ice and snow covered everything so it was a little unclear where to drive or where to park. We hope we got it right!
