Modern and cozy hotel right at the water. Single room was tight but certainly enough to move around, unpack and bathroom was totally sufficient. We also enter the church to accommodate a few of our group, and it was spectacular! We had a lovely evening hanging out in the living area after dinner at the hotel restaurant which one of best dinners we had in Iceland.

Really appreciated front desk clerk recommendations, walking the nearby sea wall and seeing a seal eat his dinner. Great dinner service and breakfast and unique accommodation in the church.

The one bedroom apartment with ocean view had truly an awesome view. Well furnished, neat and very clean. Note that you have to climb up a flight of stairs with your bags, and it's in a different house than the main hotel. Breakfast was good as well. Very friendly staff.

We booked at the very last moment after deciding the nearby property our travel agency had booked was just not adequate. We booked while sitting in the car and actually arrived at the hotel before the booking. The host (Einar, thanks) was very welcoming and we were pleased to find such a clean comfortable place. A room with a sea view and good breakfast were very welcome. Einar was a wealth of information and suggestions for the local and not so local area (best routes, restaurants, thermal springs). All in all, a very good decision to change our plans.

The rooms are perhaps not as big as you'd expect for the price range, but more than enough given the comfortable communal spaces.

Friendly staff. Impressive seaview apartment (we got a free upgrade) on the porch with nice living area, kitchen and dining room, a bathroom with showers and one spacious bedroom. Good selection of breakfast. The hotel is situated on a great location if you are looking for a nice stay along the Ring Road in the north. The town has everything to offer.

The key is a bit difficult to lock and unlock the apartment door ...

we were on a ring road tour and this was one of our stopping places for one night ....the friendly and helpful manager gave us an upgrade and our room was FABULOUS !! By far the loveliest on the trip ....the breakfast was delicious - a lovely selection of fruits/cereals and cheeses etc., and delicious eggs and bacon . The bed SO comfortable - the room was very tastefully decorated : modern & stylish. We ate in the restaurant in the evening of our arrival - again delicious and the staff were lovely ....just couldn't fault anything.....

We really enjoyed our stay here! We booked the family room and it was very elegant and comfortable with a spacious bathroom - restaurant was good for dinner (very tasty) and they had a plentiful breakfast. But the hotel management and service is what sets this hotel apart! We arrived in town with a flat tire and the hotel manager or owner (forgive me I forgot his name at the moment) went above and beyond to call the garage to come out to pickup the car to fix it! Our rental company had told us we needed to put on the donut ourselves and go to a garage and would have to pay for the new tires as it wasn’t covered, but he he called the garage in town and our rental company for us and got them to fix it at no charge and replace the 2 tires that were not in good condition to begin with. He took care of everything while we ate our breakfast and then drove us to the wonderful local pool in town (in his own personal car) so our family could enjoy the first half of the day while it was being fixed - now that is real customer service and I can’t say enough good things! Highly recommend staying here and thank you again!!

Amazingly quirky accomodations and everything we were told they would be. We sent photos to all our friends and rave out our stay there to everyone

Not a critcism but it is important to know that the bathroom facilities are upstairs in the old choir loft and that the stairs are quite steep. Older people or small children or people with limited mobility should know this going in

Friendly and helpful staff Great food in the restaurant Great location close to the ocean. Our room had ocean views from which you could see whales!

Hotel Blonduos was great but there's not much else in the town

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The receptionist went out of her way to make sure we had comfortable rooms. The lock on my first room didn't work properly. When the receptionist couldn't adjust it to make it easier to lock and open, she upgraded my room. We arrived soon after the kitchen closed, but the waitress had the chef bring us mushroom soup and bread. She went out of her way to be sure we were taken care of despite the late hour.
