The place was empty and there was no one to receive us when we first arrived, but I called on the phone written on the door and the manager came in no more than 5 minutes. Gave a full explanation and left us inside. Told us where everything was, and how to use the door (since it has an automatic lock system). By the morning I couldn't leave the key to the manager for we left really early, but it seems there was no problem about it. We visited on the second week of October, and the restaurant was already closed, also there were no other services available, but since we only wanted a place to sleep it was ok with us. I'll be sure to come back and experience the full of it, but so far, everything was great.

This was booked very last minute - i.e. the night before - after a change of holiday schedule. There was some confusion at the hotel about our two cabins resulting in one cabin being given away to another late booking by mistake. The staff were super helpful and apologetic, found us another room and only charged for one cabin. This place was simple, clean and charming. Thank you!

Clean and nice guesthouse. Nice to be able to dip into the jacuzzis and sweet potato soup at the restaurant was lovely.

It was impossible to sleep longer than to 7-7:30 as the front door was slamming with quite some noise every time someone passed through and there was quite a traffic going in/out. Would be easy to fix with a door pump.

We stayed in a guest house. Beds very comfortable, and I appreciated that the house had two bathrooms for 5 of us! It was a nice luxury in Iceland.

Breakfast was very bare-bones and not worth its cost, though I appreciate having breakfast on the premises since there is nothing nearby. The guesthouse had an electric kettle (which was great) but no cups to drink hot beverages from (there were glasses, though).

We upgraded to a private cabin. We had our own little deck, a spacious, GORGEOUS room, plus, a private bath. This cabin should be considered as luxury hotel status- only we were in the middle of nowhere! Just beautiful!

We slept in late and missed breakfast. Staff was great about refunding for the missed breakfast. The bathrooms were extremely clean, even though they were shared. Each room has a sink.

Very pleasant staff in a location next to the river. Owner helped arrange a horseback ride at a nearby ranch.

The sport and hotel resort is very complete and comfortable.

Some noise late in the evening with people talking around a table or young crowd.

The Guesthouse is located in the same place where you start the preparation for rafting. Rooms and shared bathrooms are very clean. The shared kitchen is in another building nearby, within the campground, and is well equipped. There are a couple of picnic tables available outside. The hot pools are ok (not natural, no views, but nicely warm). Very close to Fosslaug natural hot springs.
