This is a very charming place with a LOT of character. The rooms have shared baths, that are a little bit dated, but it all adds to the charm. The owner family is beyond friendly - just the kindest and most helpful people we encountered on the trip. The rooms are all individually furnished and it feels like being in a villa from another time The owner,/manager Jolanda is extremely friendly an d helpful. WHile you can't use the kitchen, she helped us get fill our waterbottles with hot water for next day and any small things we needed. As there is no kitchen to use, we chose to have dinner at her restaurant, and it was an easy but VERY tasty meal. Plenty of safe parking is awailable next to the house. For those so inclined, there is a nice beach/coastal walk right from the house. It's a perfect spot to spend the night/dinner as a stop on the Ring Road.

Cute guesthouse with a great view of a black sand beach! Check in and check out was very easy. There were showers with hot water and good pressure. Guests could have tea, cookies and coffee for free as well as use the kitchen. The guesthouse also had a restaurant guests could get food at, we didn't get any but it was good to have that option. Beds were super warm and comfortable and our room had good heating. Staff and other guests were really friendly!

We were lucky with the weather and had a room with a beautiful view of the sunset. The room met all expectations of a "Budget twin bed room". The house was clean and had some charm.

The noise isolation inside the house is not very good. We've been lucky and had quiet neighbors, but if the neighbors speak at night, you might hear it is you're nose sensitive.

We enjoyed staying here - not much to do in the town but we did see a really neat “offroad” race they had when we arrived - it happened right across the street from the place we were staying! The house was very comfortable and clean! Very cozy! We highly recommend staying here!

Nothing - the stay was great!

The room was spacious and warm. Nice view out the window. Shared WC on our floor was very small but clean. One shower on main floor and two in the basement-great for getting your steps in. Host/owner was friendly. Very clean. Don't forget to take your shoes off at the door.

Only common area was in the restaurant. Felt a little awkward bringing our food but the host insisted it was fine.

This is a cozy little guesthouse, very clean, and the staff were very friendly! My room had a great view to the sea. It's very good value for money.

Since the house is very old and the walls are thin, it can be a bit noisy if the other guests are loud type.

The room was very clean, breakfast was great but does cost extra, the location is right on the beach, a black sand beach might i add - so cool!- and the sunset is incredible! It’s also right across the inlet from the textile museum which is open during the summer and there’s a lovely little path that follows the shoreline and takes you there over the bridge and whatnot.

Only thing that could have been better were the stairs leading up to the rooms - and it’s an old building so there’s not much you can do, so I understand. I’m 5’9” and had to duck when on the stairs or I’d hit my head, this challenge is added to by the steepness of the stairs and the silky runner that is on them, walking in socks feels a bit slippery so i insist on taking the stairs sideways and slowly as not to have a tumble.

Simple accommodation. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and attentive service, thanks to staff members. There is no elevator, so make sure you can take your luggage upstairs. Tea/coffee are available for guests and staff can store your food in the fridge.

I stayed there because there was a snow storm and the roads were closed - a real life saver! They were very nice and welcoming, offering also support and advice with the weather situation. The view from the room was great - ocean view! The room was small but comfortable and fitted a table and an arm chair in it. The toilet and bathroom was clean. Parking ouside on the street.

The windows were a bit leaky, which was a bit problematic with the rain and storm outside but not too dramatic. Putting a towel in front of it helped ;)

The guesthouse Kiljan was wonderful. The owner made us feel at home. We had a very big spacious room with access to a bathroom just across the hall. Dinner and breakfast were delicious with every good food you would want! We recommend the guesthouse Kiljan if you plan to stsy in Blonduos!

Everything was wonderful! Nothing to complain about.
