Somy resort plaza is an outstanding hotel. The staff and manager Paul are absolutely fantastic they go up and above their call of duty to make sure your stay is perfect. It is superbly located slightly set back so you feel you are in a peaceful haven. Everything you need is in easily walking distance. What can I say about the hotel if I could give it 5 star I would. Rooms are lovely with a large TV, bedding changed regularly and a massive bed. It was immaculate and clean towels left every day and cleaned. It had air conditioning and also a ceiling fan and a fridge. Water was left every day. The swimming pool was extremely clean, the pool attendant gave you towels and was always cleaning the pool very early every morning. The breakfast was excellent loads of choice ie: pancakes most days, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, omelette, poached eggs, cereal and poridge every day alongside juices, breads and cakes. Jam, marmalade and toast. Tea and coffee and also Indian dishes, fresh fruit. Paul the manager continually walked round asking his guests if everything was ok and was very supportive and helpful especially when my husband hurt his foot. For 3 consecutive days Paul patiently bandaged and bathed my husbands foot applying his herbal medicine. Thank you so much Paul we are extremely grateful for all of your help. I have never stayed anywhere where the staff are as helpful and happy as the staff here. Nothing is too much trouble !!! A special mention is Mr Vivienne who is manager in the restaurant he is superb. We will definitely be returning and cannot praise it highly enough.

We loved our 10 day stay at Somy Plaza. Everything about the stay was amazing - the incredible & friendly staff, our lovely room, the great service, the beautiful pool area, the restaurant & breakfast - I give it 5 stars!! Big shout out to Vivienne and the incredible management team - and all the staff at Somy Plaza, everybody really made our stay here so special! The hotel is on one of the main streets in Calangute so there are lots of restaurants to choose from within 5 - 10 minute walking distance (and the hotel restaurant & room service was delicious!). Also within driving distance to Baga, Vagator and Arambol Beach. I would recommend visiting the Houses of Goa museum, it was really interesting learning more about Goan architecture and it is right next to a Mario de Miranda gallery. Thank you so much to everybody at Somy Plaza for their warmth, kindness and amazing hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Everything was amazing!

Very clean and mostly nice staff great location first time in india so nothing to compare it with but had a fab time. Will come again

Had an issue with some belongings we left by the pool. Pool guy pretended he knew nothing about them. But another holidaymaker saw him take them, fortunately. The issue was resolved and said items "found" left us feeling . uncomfortable . Shame after a fantastic holiday where 2 female travellers did feel safe originally

All day sun at the pool, it’s a real sun trap. Had a room with a view balcony and a lovely view of the pool Pool was a great chill out spot for the day. Day long food and drinks available from the restaurant The bed was made daily with the option for linen and towels to be changed whenever you want Didn’t use the room service but it’s a nice touch They gave us the room an extra hour on our check out day which helped us a lot

Some parts of the property are a little tired but the hotel look like they are working on improving that

Paul at reception and Vivien in the restaurant were exceptional, along with the other restaurant and bar staff. We throughly enjoyed their company and our time there and we will be back with more friends and family! Thank you SoMy plaza for a fantastic experience!

The rooms and bathrooms are a little dated and could do with a refresh and renovation

I liked each and everything there from the facility, restaurant, view, room, staff everything was just excellent. When we reached we met Mr. Paul and Mr. Subham who helped in our check-in process and with a kind gesture they have upgraded our both rooms. We had included our breakfast and honestly everyday menu was different and taste was yummy. Also they clean your room very neatly and its hygienic. So If anyone is planning to Goa in North side I must say and recommend the Somy Plaza Resort as you will not regret it for sure. Thankyou once again to all staff of Somy Resort for making our stay memorable. It was awesome staying with Somy Resort. Thankyou

I have nothing to say because everything was just perfect.

Stayed here with my friends for a cozy vacation, i must say starting from check-in all process was smooth. 2 beautiful receptionist welcome you will smile and welcome drink. Rooms was neat clean, area of room was more than enough, Looks like it was earlier a residence complex or something, but you will not be disappoint with rooms . It have a big size pool with perfect sun direction, cafe near the pool serve your all drinking or eating desire. All restaurants and eating hubs just 2-5 mins walk, beach is max 10-12 min walk.

Amazing place to stay in Goa. The staff couldn't have been more helpful when I asked any questions about the local area, things to do, how to get around etc. Any issues we had with the hotel, like AC not working in the room, was fixed right away. For the price it really is an exceptional bargain for the service you are getting. Hotel had great facilities, room was large, fridge was cold, pool was great. Couldn't recommend enough!

The only slight critic I can come up with is the breakfast could have a little more variety but none the less, everything that was served was tasty.

Krishma, Paul, Punkesh, and Valaran all made me feel very welcome. As a lone traveller, I was made to feel welcome and looked after. Everyone is kind, mindful, and thoughtful. I will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay and kindness.

Music and entertainment need to improve for residents.

location was good to the beach and surrounding small towns. breakfast very good, lots of choice. we had a new room which was very big and separate walk in wardrobe. Best thing about the hotel is the staff, all brilliant , everyone really helpful and chatty- one gentleman Viv even remembered our names and restaurant supervisor helped us with some tips to get around , was very nice stay

WiFi didn’t work well in the room but was fine by the pool and restaurant so we mainly used it there . could be a little noisy at night from other guests. Few bugs behind the sink- mainly easy fixes. very hard to fault this hotel.
