It’s a distance away from the hustle bustle of McLeodganj and so it’s quiet. You can see the valleys, giving you a feeling of peace. It’s a beautiful property with stunning interior design. The owner has good taste. They have some really nice common areas where there’s a small library. The bar area is very pretty. The staff were one of the best features of this property. They go way and beyond to make your stay comfortable, they’re really good at providing some tour guidances. They ensure cleanliness and hygiene. The hotel menu has quite a variety of cuisines. As a female solo traveler, I felt very safe staying there. My heartfelt thanks to the hotel manager for making me feel welcome, safe and very comfortable.

Nothing as such. It’s about half an hour from McLeod so this property for those who are looking to relax with some peace and quiet. But that also means the exciting cafes, bars and restaurants are not in close proximity of the hotel. So be aware of spending on taxi fares.

Everything about the experience at the Atman was FANTABULOUS. I must apologize to the staff there because I took everyone's name and even photos hoping to put them up here on my review but I have been very busy with work and travel and am unable to find my notes at the moment. Each of them from the front desk (there was a traditional welcome too) to the cleaning staff to the cook and waiters to the manager and guest relations made my mother and I feel very safe and wanted. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. Anything we requested was immediately addressed and done. The USP of this hotel is its staff, the people who run it. Mostly locals who care for the place and its reputation. The cook especially is very gifted, LOVED the food here, not just the breakfast which is a wonderful spread or the wide selection of teas etc but also when we ordered dinner, he did a fabulous job. Cooking with love and passion is not easy when one does it daily, but the deliciousness of the items was because of his full attention to the job at hand. Very commendable. The rooms are spacious, the beds most comfortable, the decor very aesthetic, they have a small balcony with green views at the back and a mountain view in the front. Every evening there is high tea on the house. This place is simply one of the best there is in this area, luxurious and a bit away from the hustle bustle of the main city. You would need to rent a cab/car to go to and fro. Three things that stood out for me: 1. the lovely wrap around balcony at the back where you can sit and have hot tasty dinner while it drizzles outside 2. I was able to use the front desk computer as it was urgent for me to book onward reservations at Manali and I was not able to do so on my phone 3. My mother fasts on Fridays, and the kitchen staff made sure she had milk and fruits.....every one simply went out of their way to make the whole trip so memorable.

Tastefully done up , gorgeous property overlooking the Dhauladhar Range. Generous sized rooms and bathrooms - eclectic interiors ( they are also in the furniture business , we were told ) . But the icing on the cake was the excellent staff - very efficient and eager to please ! Our thanks to Sahil ( a real credit to the hotel ) and Keshav , Sunny , Raju , Sushil - and chefs Amit and Jeetu ( who organized an early breakfast for us as we had a flight to catch ) . Food was really food , and so was service ! We had a comfortable stay , and were very well taken care of !

Beautiful quiet retreat in arty, well-served hotel. Staff were excellent and met all of our needs. Room was luxurious with sunny balcony. Buffet meals are good quality and variety, and a la carte menu excellent. The restaurant / bar has a terrace overlooking the garden where we ate several times and enjoyed drinks. The garden is well maintained. This is a short taxi from Dharamshala centre, and worth it for total peace. We will visit again.

Nothing If you want something walking distance to town, this is not it, but a short taxi is fine.

The property is new and is situated very close to Dharamshala. Everything here was extremely comfortable. The food from the restaurant was really good. The breakfast had an excellent spread. The staff was very courteous and the view from the Balcony was amazing. Really loved it and would definitely recommend for a couple or group stay.

Beautiful decor. Large spacious room with comfortable seating, good views and a wrap around balcony with balcony furniture. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Garden and pool would have been lovely to use if we had come in season.Food was delicious.

This is a delightful hotel with beautiful grounds and very spacious rooms. There is a lounge/library area on each floor with lovely antique items on display. Staff are super friendly and ensure your stay is comfortable.

The service and food was outstanding, the staff went above in beyond helping us with any query that we had. The whole hotel had a very homely feel with reading areas and books to read. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back again!

The rooms can get a little cold, however they can provide extra heaters if you need

An individually owned place has been beautifully turned into a hotel. All the antique pieces have been restored and the whole decor has been done in a very beautiful manner.Loved it's ambience.

Conveniently located, good staff, good sized rooms, clean and compact. The manager Shivani is very good.

There is not much to do at the hotel but its good for a stay at Dharamshala and to visit McLeodganj.
