The location is very good near the beach (5 min walking) but Artkana is not on the beachfront which is very convenient for many reasons like good accessibility by scooter and taxi, reliable power supply and cleanliness. The staff, Aby, is very nice and doing everything in his power to make you feel comfortable like switching to slightly better room when needed. The rooms and property are maintained clean but the rooms lack some kind of decoration to make them cozy. Gokarna is a not fully developed city and is smelly due to open drainage and beaches are fully dirty. The attractiveness of Gokarna is the religiousness that you can live in and around the ancient temples in a very authentic way

Artkarna was great. Communication with staff was excellent and they were really helpful. The room was super cute and I could have easily stayed longer. The fan, hot water, bidet, swimwear drying racks, lockable wardrobe and mosquito door flaps all worked great, and the swinging chair and fun sink and tiles were a lovely touch. Room was really clean too! It was in a great spot; very quiet and a sweet 5 minute walk to main beach, 15min into town (all felt very safe to walk, at night too). Plenty of food options in walking distance (hard to find early brekkie or coffee though). Felt dreamy and tropical, great vibes and I imagine would be fun alone or with others. And if there for longer than 2n I would defs hire a scooter. Well priced.

Be sure that the room will be very clean and mosquito protected, the staff is friendly, location is great, the beach is just a 5min walk away. The temples are 20mins walk away, good restaurants around, but artkarna itself offers tasty, breakfast that feels homemade and very nice on the stomach. Abhijeeth is friendly and helpful. The place is well made, decorated very well. 100% coming back here. I wish the cook would make lunch and dinner too. This part of the konkan has lovely vegetarian and seafood meals.

The ambience and the listing of the property was very accurate. The reviews on this about the staff being very helpful and communicative is very true they are very approachable and very sweet spoken. My stay here was very peaceful. It's located just 3 mins away from the main beach which is walkable.

Other stays were offering 1 complementary food options, maybe they can implement it and for non-veg lovers, unfortunately they don't serve and no alcohol as well. But they allow you to get it from out!!

Rooms here are very nice, a bit larger than we’ve been experiencing for the same money. I liked the attention to detail, the granite in the bathroom floor to stop it being slippery when wet, the magnetic fly screen across the door…… lots of little touches which really do make a difference Whilst it doesn’t necessarily look like it - it’s actually handy for the beach. Straight across the road, down a little track and there’s the beach- and also there’s Namaste Samitra - which does great food and good coffee.

This was a really lovely place. A very relaxing environment. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and I enjoyed having the the swing on our balcony, and the washing line was helpful too. Plenty of places around the site for just sitting and relaxing, and the table tennis is a bonus. Devi (not sure of the name spelling) the cow and her little calf live on the site too, which is sweet. I have not been well and the chef kindly made me rice and curd for breakfast which I really appreciated. Abhishek was very kind and helpful, allowing me to sleep a few hours in a vacant room before a night bus trip-again much appreciated due to being a little unwell. He also sorted an auto for us to reach our night bus pick up point. Also, it's only a short walk to the beach.

Just one small suggestion for a kettle in the room, or maybe a flask of hot water first thing to be able to make a hot drink.

Just 350m from Main Beach, excellent WiFi (50mbs in both directions). I booked 2 nights because I was arriving at Gorkana Cross 2am and wanted somewhere reliable for the first 24 hours. On arrival Aram put. me in a side room so as not to disturb other residents. He offered to cancel my reservation and only charge me 1.5 nights which I declined. After looking at cheaper places on the beach I decided to stay here for another 5 nights

It is expensive for what you get. They don't have a cook so you need to head to the beach for coffees before 9am. They will order delivery meals but do not provide menus. Might as well go out to eat. Their book keeping is sloppy. Pay as you go and ask for reciepts to protect yourself and the property.

The stay overall was very cozy. The campus has all the facilities within, so even if you're not going outside you can still have a good time. The room was very clean and had all the basic amenities. The hosts were very helpful amd polite. Also, the location of the stay is very ideal as it's just a 5 minute walk to the main beach. There's parking space too. The rooms were very affordable. I wish I could stay for long. But I will definitely come back here. It's a perfect place to stay!

Must visit for groups and couples. Everything was so perfect that i can't imagine that a hotel can provides such a commendable stay at Gokarna. The Owner was very friendly co-operative. A must stacation. Here you can enjoy games like TT, billliards etc and also play some musical instrument. Some foriegners were also stayed at the hotel during my stay... Means they won't compromise with the facilities. I will visit this place again, if i plan to come Gokarna once agai

The property is built very beautifully. Rooms were clean and very spacious as shown in the photos. Lot of place to keep luggage and stuff. Everything is well thought out. You can also chill out at the property, there is pool table, and nice seating area outside to relax. Very near to main beach. Manager was very friendly and arranged for everything we needed with a smile. Would love to visit again. Great value for money
