Resort is in excellent condition. Very well maintained. Staff is very well mannered and ready to help you 24*7 especially the receptionist Shweta. She is there to assist you with all your requests and needs during your stay. Standard check-in time is 11.00am. But we reached the resort early morning by 6.00am. We were offered a temporary stay in the common room as resort was full due to long weekend. Staff tried to make our stay as comfy as possible. They also arranged cab / car service for local sightseeing. Resort is slightly away (~2km) from main market and all the hustle bustle. Calm and serene ambience will soothe your soul. We had booked a villa with 2 bedrooms for a family of 4. Rooms had mini fridge, kettle, TV. Bathrooms were clean and had basic toiletries.

They can improve a lot on the breakfast menu and taste. We were really disappointed to see the condition of cutleries and crockeries. Wifi can be used only outside the rooms. Rooms don't get network and wifi.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was quite comfortable. The garden, open lunch area were well maintained. Sumptuous breakfast was icing on the cake. Mango fruit trees surrounded the property as also other traditional fruit trees. We appreciate the kind and friendly gesture of the Receptionist Shweta who helped us with Taxi arrangements and railway station transfers. Gokarna trip was made memorable.....

I liked that the staff were so accommodating and eager to assist with any issues. The room also had effective A/C. The breakfast was good. As a bonus, the dorms used to be part of a Catholic convent, which I think adds an interesting charm.

The wifi didn’t reach the dorms. You also need to have your own transport staying here as the place is some way out of town. Last, for a dorm it is rather expensive.

It's a little far to the temple, it is advisable to arrange one shuttle from the resort to the temple will be helpful. Because it's difficult to find public transport.

The property is quiet, neat and located away from the bustle of the main town and temple. Yet, it is quite close to the beaches and main town. The gardens around the rooms are lovely and well maintained. The rooms are large, airy, neat and well equipped with all necessities. The bathrooms are also spacious and all basic amenities are provided. The breakfast was good too.

We had told the cook we would not need dinner. But since it was Sivaratri, we got held up with traffic diversions near the temple and beaches and despite driving around for nearly an hour, could not find a good restaurant. So we came back to Sunny Serenity and requested the cook to give us something simple. But she refused and asked us rather rudely to go back and find some other place to eat!! That was the only negative experience at this place. The cook could have been more accommodating and helped us a little bit after a long and tiring day. Even the manager had little to say on this matter and stayed away from it.

Property was well maintained and staff support was excellent. More spacious and parking was also good Complimentary breakfast was nice.

Frequent power cuts and low mobile network range

Rooms were maintained clean, Having adequate space to spend time in room and outside. near to major locations .

Food cost expensive.

Well maintained property with extremely clean rooms and amenities. Rooms are equipped with AC, mini fridge and a wardrobe. Wifi connection is an added bonus due to poor cell reception from some operators. The in house kitchen makes delicious homely food upon ordering. Location is 2km from police check post and bus stand, where most buses start.

Not a good value for money if you consider all the amenities. Mattress quality is average and doesn't give very sound sleep. No intercom facility in the resort, so you need to call on cellphone and cell reception isn't good for all operators. Lack of a mini dining table makes it difficult to eat food inside your room.
