I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were neat and well-maintained, and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The food was very good—fresh, delicious, and felt just like home-cooked meals. The breakfast spread was outstanding. The staff were extremely supportive, attentive, and quick to respond. Truly a pleasant and satisfying experience!

Overall, the stay was satisfactory, but there are a few areas that need improvement. The hotel should provide at least two mineral water bottles per room every day. The entrance and reception area could be better maintained to create a more welcoming impression. When we arrived by taxi, there was no staff visible at the gate, which made us wonder if the hotel was even open. Even the taxi driver commented that it looked unusually quiet. Improving these aspects would greatly enhance the guest experience

The hotel looked disappointing from outside when we reached. The small reception did nothing to change our first impression. Added to these was the irritation that there was no lift and 4 out of 7 rooms that we had booked were on first floor. But things changed the moment we walked on to the first floor. The rooms were new, clean, tastefully furnished, and comfortable. Added to that were courtyards with lawns that the rooms overlooked into, and sit-outs in front of the room. It was such a pleasant surprise and we lived our stay. Food was as close to home food that we could hope for. The family room on the ground floor was massive with 2 double beds and lot of chairs to have a family get-together. And all this in the centre of the city.Highly recommend the hotel.

Hope they quickly instal a lift, renovate the ground floor rooms and complete the addition of new rooms on the second floor.

The hotel is located at the end of a laneway which is guarded. The hotel itself has a pleasant atmosphere, especially if your room faces the inner courtyard. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. The complimentary breakfast, and evening restaurant options, offer fabulous healthy options and serving clean water. The staff are very friendly, helpful and informative. Very good value for money!

The general neighborhood, although seemingly safe, is not very appealing - car repair shops and a large vacant lot with far too much garbage nearby. If you are heading back to hotel after dark its advisable to use an autorickshaw instead of walking.

We had a wonderful stay at Jai Niwas. Less than 10 min ride from the train station - very convenient. The hotel is tucked in from main roads so it was nice and quiet (couldn’t hear any honking!). Whilst the surrounding area isn’t the best (automobile industry) you will most likely be getting taxis or tuktuks to tourist attractions anyway so not a problem. Reception & staff are all super welcoming and friendly. The room is spacious and comfortable - they even provided us with a heater in December. The breakfast that is included is cherry on top! They change the options daily and there’s always something for everyone - including fruit, hot food, cereal, bread and eggs to order. Our early train got cancelled so we made our way back to the hotel and they were kind enough to let us have the breakfast we had forfeited previously and stay in the room whilst we wait for the later train. We were also able to pay for the room via card - not always an option in India! Highly recommend!

The place is beautiful, charming, and peaceful. It was wonderful to return to this hotel after a long day exploring the city and navigating the chaos of the bazaars. Its proximity to the central station makes it ideal for those traveling by train. The food—from the buffet breakfast to the à la carte menu—is delicious and entirely vegetarian. The staff is friendly, and the overall atmosphere felt very zen and peaceful. I would definitely come back.

The only downside is the area. While the hotel is located at the end of a gated street, the surroundings are not as glamorous. There isn’t much happening nearby, and the area is filled with mechanics, meaning it’s predominantly frequented by men. Although it’s close to the city centre, I mostly relied on taxis or tuk-tuks to get around as opposed to walking. And this is purely because I was a solo female traveller.

We enjoyed our stay, and it allowed us to really rest….not always easy in India. The room was spacious, very clean, beds were very comfortable and sheets super clean, also the bathroom was very clean. Good hot water pressure and everything was calm and easy. the garden is pleasant and the location was good for us as you can reach most of attractions on a 10 min rickshaw drive. we didn’t try the restaurant. we enjoyed it because it is quiet while being central. The breakfast was good quality.

Elegant outfitted room in furniture and colour, overall lots of character to the hotel. Clean and reliable bathroom. Excellent at this price point. Internal courtyard and seating areas a nice touch. Breakfast buffet was ample and varied, with staff able to offer explanations if you're less familiar with Indian food! An excellent dining choice in the evenings too. Not a lot in the immediate area but close enough to the railway station, and walkable to the metro station along a busy road. Hotel took card payments with no issues.

More soundproofing needed - there was a fair bit of external noise early in the morning from neighbouring buildings which disrupted sleep

We were pleasantly surprised by Jai Niwas. The room was a large size, simple but comfortable - with solid fixtures and restful bed - desk etc. Clean good quality bedding and linen. Nice comfortable communal sitting area outside our room. The breakfast was very good with western/Indian variety and delicious home made plum pickle offering a highlight. At night the restaurant had a handwritten specials list at the counter where you order. We always ordered off this rather than the menu and were not disappointed! It was so good we stayed in for our evening meals! We would stay here again. Very good value and close to old city. Lovely to have our meals in a peaceful garden setting.

The garden, plants and flowers were very neat and made for a nice enjoyable place for downtime away from the bustle of Jaipur!

It's not the most economical stay in Jaipur. It's totally worth the price if one spends some time relaxing at the hotel or take advantage of the support it offers to tourists. If one is looking for a rather pragmatic quick and easy stay it may be best to look for something a bit cheaper.
