We had a warm welcome from Dilip & Akbar. It is a family run small business & there were several gestures that made us feel like they’re looking out for us. Akbar is a knowledgeable advisor & a great cook & a sweet man. Dilip speaks fluent English and has deep knowledgeable about the history of Rajasthan, particularly the desert & its people. This is a one stop shop for your stay in Jaisalmer. Ask them about their non-touristy desert experience. We highly recommend this place.

Great hotel. Rooms were beautiful, especially considering we paid 10 euros per night. We ended up extending our stay from 2 to 6 nights. Great view of the fort from the terrace. Good location about 10 minutes walk to the fort. Dilip and Akbar are legends also! Made us feel at home. We went in a desert safari with Dilip which was an amazing experience. Also spent a day cooking and eating with him and his family. Such a memorable stay.

Silk Route is a budget friendly hotel with comfortable and mindfully crafted rooms and amenities. Staff is welcoming and courteous specially Mr. Akbar he is a good photographer as well. Taste Wise food was good and best part is their Masala Chai. They offered me to keep our luggage so that we can roam on bike with limited luggage and allowed us to use common washroom and common space to get freshen up befor we leave. Also helped me to book bike in Jaisalmer.

I would rate 3.5 out of 5 for location. Beds were not very comfortable I could feel the springs while sleeping.

I had a really good stay. It was nice of them to upgrade my room. The room was nice and clean. I loved the seating arrangement by the window. The terrace gives a great view of the city and the palace. The hotel is also very close to a sunset view point. Just FYI the hotel is like 2 min. walk away from the main street but the space is nice and quiet. The staff is polite.

The hotel did not provide complimentary water bottles which is basic but overall I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

One of the best places we've stayed in India. The room was big and beautiful with an all stone interior, very clean and very comfortable. Hot shower and a lovely big bed with good aircon and fan. It was also set in a very quiet location with no street noise. Manager and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooftop restaurant had amazing views of the fort. All the food was freshly made, tasted great and a good price. For the money you really can't beat this great hotel. Wifi good too!

Super clean facilities. The rooms were beautiful. They had hot water and for the first time in our entire trip in India we could rest without hearing any noise from the street or whistles of the tuktuk. Akbar is super friendly and approachable, he took great care of us and we had a great time with him. No doubt we will repeat if we return to Jaisalmer.

The owner and the hotel staff took great care of us. The location is great to get away from the city noise while remaining in the city centre. Fort is 10-15 min away by walk. Comfy rooms. Value for money. We also had a great half day trip in the desert organised by them. Highest regards to the hotel staff team.

If I had to nitpick, it would be about hotel access point.

The rooms were spacious, clean and had the best view of the fort. The room was well kept, services were prompt. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Sunset from the rooftop is unexpectedly beautiful.We were also so close to hotel kaku that serves good food.

I had a wonderful and comfortable 3 day stay. It is close to everything such as the fort and other tourist places. Pleasant spacious and clean room but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are its staff. Especially Akbar bhai who was incredibly helpful.
