Moustache Jaisalmer offers an average stay experience with a mix of pros and cons. The location is its strongest point, situated right opposite the stunning Jaisalmer Fort, which makes it convenient for sightseeing. The rooftop restaurant provides an incredible view of the fort, especially at night, but the food quality is average at best. Dinner was Indian cuisine, which was delicious, but for lunch, we ordered indo-chinese dishes, which were not at all great. Overall, Moustache Jaisalmer is an average choice for travelers looking for options with a great location, but improvements in service and room comfort would make the experience much better.

One of the biggest drawbacks was the slow service—waiting a long time for my order was frustrating. However, the manager was quite helpful and provided useful tips to plan our trip, which was a nice touch. The rooms are compact and feel a bit cramped, though they do have a vibrant Rajasthani ambiance with colorful decor that adds a cultural vibe to the stay.

well as always my stay with Moustache exceeded my expectations. Gautam is a true gentleman, he takes care of everything and guided us about the services and recommended us many places to visit. The desert adventure was very nice and thrilling. Camel ride is a must! I want to specally thanks Gautam for arranging to courier our things back which we had forgotten at the hostel! They do go extra mile for their guests. Moustache is the best place to stay in Jaisalmer.

very well located outside of the fort (nice view on terrasse), walking distance to entrance. the building (reception hall, rooms) are very nice and stylish as well as clean. the dorms and the ensuite bathrooms are spacious. definately one of the best hostel experiences in india ( we have been to +10). wifi is top.

we did laundry and had some issues (lost shirt, one shirt too much, etc). safari tours are cool, but dont expect too much. its more just an overnight stay in the desert - not safari going around for hours. as both these services are not mandatory for your stay, the hostel experience stays a 10/10

We had a great stay at moustache Jaisalmer! The property has a beautiful view of the fort, and the vibe is super relaxed and friendly. The staff was helpful, and everything was well-organized. We also took the desert safari through moustache, and it was an amazing experience — from the camel ride to the peaceful night under the stars. Highly recommend for backpackers or anyone wanting a memorable stay in Jaisalmer

Great location 5 minute walk to the fort entrance. The hostel is set in lovely grounds, has a great local vibe in terms of its architecture and the on-site team were very helpful.

Online check-in was not straightforward! Despite flagging our (very) early arrival time & booking rooms for the night before to accommodate the arrival time, one of our rooms was cancelled because we didn’t arrive at the ‘normal’ check in time. We had to take 2 dorm beds instead of the private room we’d booked when we arrived - but after that initial glitch all was well and we thought this was a great place to stay in Jaisalmer and we would recommend.

We had a nice staying here at Moustache Jaisalmer! The room was cleaned and well furnished, the location was just outside of the fort, away from the chaos inside the fort yet very central to the main attractions. We highly recommend to do the safari trip (non touristic) as it has been so special, with amazing and kind staff, that will make the whole experience memorable!

Well located stylish hotel with good staff - I booked a private room for a few days and really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are decorated in an attractice Rajasthani style, the staff were able to help me with laundry service and give restaurant advice. I used another company for desert safari and this wasn't an issue.

I booked a dorm bed for my final day due to a late train, the dorms were pretty basic, not very clean and had no privacy curtain

The hostel was quaint with an old world charm about it. The owner, Pradeep and his son, Abhishek were very hospitable and friendly. The service too was prompt. It is just a 5 to 7 minute walk to the entrance of the fort. The food was good. I stayed there with my daughter in the double room. The room is spacious. However the windows were sealed off.

The bathroom had some leakage in the health faucet and there was a strange smell. However, it was my mistake that I did not mention it to the owners in the beginning itself. I'm sure they would have rectified it.

The location is excellent, I belong to Rajasthan, still, the manager was able to amaze me with the facilities Homly feeling, and the service he gave, If you want to travel to Jaisalmer, this is the best hotel to book, and the food was delicious. The Staff knows what they are doing and how to make your experience beautiful. Needless to say, this hotel is a top-tier hotel and provides reasonable prices for excellent rooms at the same time. The Out-of-box thinking for their Desert Safari has left us wow-struck, never had a great experience and level of security/safety they provide, Desert Safari was worth every penny.
