Exceptional staff, very friendly, respectful, always ready to assist you. I have no complaints about food it was better than expectation. Regarding cleanliness they have work a bit more, the lobby and the restaurant was clean but the carpets on the floors I went namely 6th, 2nd and in the reception area should be replaced with new ones as they look worn out. At the restaurant they should put some posters about food wastage, I had seen people wasting food in loads, which I bought to the notice of the staff. I think it's time for the Hotel renovation. Rest my stay was very pleasant just because of the Hotel staffs. Thank you very much to all the staff and managers of Hotel Howard Johnson, Kolkata. 🙏

Location was great, especially accessibility to the airport. Excellent staff behavior.

Corridor to the room was very smelly, smoking and non-smoking rooms were closed to each other on the same floor. Smell was unbearable before entering the room. We stayed in a suite and the suit had a weird smell when we enter first time, possibly smoke smell entered the room while cleaning. This should be considered.

We had a packed breakfast as we had an early flight. It was ready and waiting for us when we left. No complaints at all about the food. Evening meal was really nice as well. Location of hotel is good. Close to airport and off the main road.

Wifi was not available in the room. Had to use it in the lobby where it was fast and reliable. Smoky smelling air in room - might have been drawn in from outside via the airconditioner? Room was quiet and comfortable otherwise.

Its centrally located in New Town, just opposite to Arsalan and next to Spencer. Room were big and clean with all the facilities. Food was yum and staff was really helpful. Really liked the experience.

Washroom floor was bit slippery,no matts outside washroom. Car was not available to travel evne once that too for a long stay, you will be by own in most cases if car service needed from Hotel. No photos i clicked inside hotel 🥲

Had to wait a lot during check out at the reception. Being a regular customer this was awkward. Also, the amount of time I had to wait to get the check out process complete was something bit odd and over doing. Apart from this everything all right.

Hospitality was top of the class. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Will surely visit again.

Didn't get the room with a view. Bit disappointed. Some amenities like shampoos and body lotion we're empty. But other than that great experience.

Hotel was modern and clean and convenient to the airport. Evening staff not that welcoming and was reluctant to accept cash rather than card for some reason. Restaurant was clean with plenty of food on offer and big servings. The morning desk lady, Poona(?) Was very helpful and sorted our airport transfer.

Only one huge towel for both of us. We also asked for a staff member to help us set the air con on a warm setting, but he didn't understand and had it on cold which we couldn't change!

The staff were all great, in particular Abdul from housekeeping and all of the restaurant staff. The gym, while a little small, is a nice additional facility offered by the hotel.

My only suggestion would be to replace the plastic bottled water in the rooms with reusable glass water bottles like those in the restaurant, to be more environmentally friendly.

This was mid-tier hotel and the amenities were as to be expected for such hotel. Overall, the staff was nice, the hotel had nice decor in the lobby. I appreciated the wall paintings by local artists and happy to see that local art and business was being supported. Most importantly, the hotel promised an airport pickup and delivered well on that promise. For someone coming from abroad late at night, this was very important and I thank the hotel for providing the expected service (for a requisite fee).

A minor issue but I think the bed and bathroom could have been cleaner (it wasn't dirty).

The Room, staffs, cleanliness, surrounding and near to Airport all are very nice. That's why I extend my stay here until 26 of July 2023. Earlier we planned to stay here 3 days and then shift to Central Kolkata but finally we change our plan as we found all other things are excellent.

Distance from Central Kolkata is a problems but it does not take much more time to get there. The hospitals are nearby that's a plus point. Also they have scope to improve their cooking.
