This location is very far from city center location which is park street. The mall next door with McDonald's and other eateries does not open until 11 am. So I was starved for breakfast and things to do until 11 am. The mall next door is good and clean. But the neighboring Rajarhat area with shops etc is pretty run down with piles of garbage in every block. It's a shock coming here from USA, meaning the uncleanness of kolkata streets. I couldn't even walk around the neighborhood without fearing being hit by a car or bus. There is no traffic rules etc so hard to walk around and navigate.

Food was fabulous. Staff were excellent at service recovery when there were issues with my room amenities. I want to compliment Prabal, Shalini, Dipankar, Rumni, Indraneel (GM), Raktim, Shohail, and Pratiksha. These staff delivered exceptional service right from the heart and it was visible. They worked extremely hard and I often met the same crew for the dinner and breakfast service! Always with a big smile. They were dedicated to ensuring that our stay was perfect. I’ll probably go back to this hotel because of their service.

AC is temperamental, especially after midnight. Rooms get very warm. Other than this, it was an excellent stay.

I truly enjoyed my time at the hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. A special mention to Sk Salauddin, whose professionalism and excellent service truly stood out during our stay. He was incredibly helpful and guided us with genuine care, making our experience smooth and enjoyable. The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, providing a perfect space to relax. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and peaceful atmosphere, which made for such a restful sleep. The amenities were top-notch—from the delicious breakfast spread to the relaxing pool and spa area. The location was ideal, too, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d definitely love to return

Overall, my stay was pleasant, but one thing that affected the experience was the smoke smell in the washroom. It was quite noticeable and made the space feel less fresh and clean. I believe addressing this issue would really help improve the overall comfort for future guests

The hotel will always be my choice for a stay in Kolkata due to its rate, location and, above all, the staff. The room rates are very good value for the comfort and convenience it offers. The location is great. Close to the airport, next to a great shopping mall and its access to other stores. The service stands out due to their staff. Special mention to the staff in Shamiana. They make your dining experience extra special as they make sure that you have had everything as per your needs. Thanks to Salini and Riya. The service by the bell boys and the ushering staff is also worth mentioning. Thanks to Salauddin, Sudip and Bikash for going out of the way to help me. Overall, a very good experience.

Nothing worth mentioning but the service at Wykiki, the asian restaurant, can be better.

I was pleasantly surprised with the service of this hotel. Being a loyal ITC guest for very long, I had my apprehensions booking Taj this time around. However, the experience was fantastic - housekeeping, room service, guest services, special services for my old mother.. everything was perfect ! There is also a huge mall attached to the hotel - very convenient to our overall plan

Nothing really. Location for me was a bit remote as all my work including my mother's hospital check ups were in South Kolkata. The travel time with endless traffic was tiring.

Everything was very good starting from location to cleanliness but I especially liked their hospitality and the warm feeling of being welcomed. I was travelling alone and the staff would take time to enquire about my stay and I could give feedbacks on the go. I would especially like to mention Raktim and Abhishek from the kitchen team, who were always on their toes looking after each guest and catering to their needs. Raktim also packed a breakfast on the day I left and I really appreciated this gesture. Dipankar and Harsh were very obliging too. In fact, it felt like staying with an extended family which is what hospitality is about.

I am really nit picking here but there were a few minor issues like stains on duvet cover 1 night, the card getting deactivated 4 out of 5 nights of my stay and a few issues with the kitchen team which were raised with their manager during my stay and addressed. I felt, the range of foods available at breakfast can be broader.

Where to start, everything was just amazing!! From the moment I arrived, the gentlemen at the front door, the ladies at the foyer greeting me, the staff at the reception (very kind) I had to wait a bit, but I came before check in, so it was ok, house keeping left extra 2 water bottles in my room after cleaning it, I really appreciated that ❤️ and last, but not the least was Mr. Prabhas (duty manager), he was always checking I was fine and comfortable during my stay, Mr Prabhas you rock!! Thank you Taj City Centre New Town!! ❤️❤️

There was an issue with the wash basin in the bathroom, I informed Mr Prabhas about it and he got it fixed immediately.

Taj City Center is one of the best property in New Town Area. The best of this hotel is the hospitality offered to you is superb. No one can beat Taj's hospitality as they will spoil you with services and personal care. We stayed 5 days there and we felt like home away from our home. Special mention to Mr. Sanjay from the room service who is the best to take care of all your needs. The breakfast is good with choice of Indian and continental choices. In overall one of the best hotel I have stayed so far.

A very welcoming hotel ♡ The staff at the hotel were very friendly and made our stay better than ehat we expected. The rooms were clean, well managed, big bathroom, big window and fresh rooms overall. Breakfast was good and various of choices. I loved the pool on the roof top, it was an amazing view over the city. Beside the hotel is a mall and you don't need to go out of the hotel to get in the mall, you can take the elevator from hotel. The only think about the hotel I find negative would be the place of the hotel, not much is around than the mall. But there are stuff a little bit away that are worth to check out. The hotel is very close to the airport wich made it so easy for us to spend our last days with Taj city centre hotel. I would recommend it if you want to stay in new town or close to the airport.

Dipankar and his team were exceptionally brilliant. I was planning for a stay with my parents and was worried a bit as my parents were very old. However Dipankar ensured and planned everything smoothly even before we stayed at the hotel. Right from arrival, stay in the hotel and departure was very welcoming, comfortable and would definitely rate 7 star to this hotel! The hotel room was very comfortable, both the restaurants' ambience, customer service and food were mind blowing. The chauffeur, greetings team, reception team and the spa team were absolutely great as well! I would definitely recommend this hotel and I can guarantee you will be looked after very well. Kudos to Dipankar and his team and keep up the great work. 👍 👏

Only the customers who were at the lounge, no table manners/ etiquette! I was very surprised! Taj Team were very brilliant though, all went very well.
