We had a marvellous time staying at the Oberoi Grand Kolkata. The check-in was very smooth and staff were very quick and helpful. Breakfast was very pleasant, with many food varieties and options. The room was very clean and comfortable. The pool and other in-hotel facilities, such as the spa, were exceptional. It is really convienient to stay here if you are travelling with kids or a big family. It is very affordable and family friendly. Overall, the Oberoi Grand Kolkata was a wonderful place to stay at.

Sometimes, the room keys wouldn't work in the lift or the room so we had to get them fixed at the front desk, but nothing major.

The Grand is a phenomenal hotel with a great location, incredible attention to detail in the care they give guests, and great breakfasts. Despite the bustling location, it is an oasis of calm and quiet in a frenetic city. We've stayed there when visiting for the last decade and uniquely in our experience of multiple hotels over that time, it keeps getting better. You won't find a hotel as good as this for the same price anywhere else in India. The staff are uniformly outstanding. We travelled this time with two young children who were treated like princes throughout. Special mentions to Maanasa and Chef Rakshit on the mangement trainee scheme, to the head chef, and to S- from housekeeping who went out of her way to make our oldest's birthday memorable. Great people, great place.

The Oberoi is located in the centre of the city, close to Park Street, and walking distance from the park itself. If the weather is nice, Victoria Memorial is less than a 30-minute walk, some in the park. The staff exceeded expectations, and each was excellent and super helpful. One to notice above others is Antony from the 360 restaurant. Breakfast is a Buffet with a variety of choices for eggs and desserts.

The facility is old; unfortunately, I had a problem with the hot water due to the old sanitation. I asked to move to a different room, but according to one of the staff, the problem was that you need to put the taps in a specific order so I will get the hot water. The premium internet didn't work as expected in the first room, but it worked great once I moved to the 3rd floor.

The location was excellent for our purposes. We couldn't believe there was no noise given the busy streets outside of the hotel. The breakfast was amazing, and kept us full till dinner so we didn't have to worry about lunch. The hotel staff were attentive and I loved the welcome and check in process in the room, and the room was always clean.

I thought the gym didn't look first rate. I went once during my four night stay. There was no staff to talk to at the spa to enquiry about services. Housekeeping staff accidentally took my pair of jeans in their clean up, and it took a number of calls on my part before the jeans were found (staff repeatedly said they didn't have the jeans - but I am happy they were eventually found as they were my favourite jeans!!). I thought I would have a bigger size room for the Luxury room.

Everything was good about the hotel, nothing to complain about. I am a very picki person and everything was great. The Breakfast had various of choices, fresh and good taste. Rooms are clean, housekeeping is making a good job. The service was really amazing, they made our stay even better than we could imagine. The hotel is in a good spot, you can just walk out and you will be in new market. The market can be hectic but it's in the middle of eveything and close to everywhere around park street and monuments in kolkata. I recommend this hotel, you will not regret it.

Nothing much, I just wish there was a shower head in the bathroom but other than that eveything amazing.

Exellent, excellent, excellent! location, staff and accommodation! Stay here every year and the whole experience from arriving in the entrance from the bustling Street to stepping into the hotel is truly 1st class. Lovely smiles from all the staff. The breakfast is fantastic with a huge selection to choose from. Plenty of staff in all areas of the hotel. Room was perfect and very well serviced by housekeeping. Great location for Central Kolkata so didn't need taxis. We needed an early check in as we had been travelling 24 hours and our room was made available. Upon leaving at 0400 a takeaway light breakfast was supplied. The hotel spa is a wonderful service and definitely worth using. Looking forward to our return visit!

The hotel is in a beautiful historical building and close to everything, including the metro. Service is very good, staff very helpful and professional. Great variety of food options on the breakfast and restaurants' menu, including for vegetarians and vegans.

We had to pay a full night instead of a reduced rate for an early morning check-in, which was not great. We were asked to settle the payment immediately on arrival in spite of the early hours and the card machine was not working so it took some time before deciding to try again the next day. We were given a room which was very close to the road and to a generator and therefore quite noisy. We changed room the next day.

Never before have I stayed in a hotel with such high levels of service. Outstanding really superb! Special mention to housekeeping as well As young lady chef Annesha. All in all a truly fabulous experience. Dyan an Pratik outdid themselves at the pool

There are not enough pool loungers. People it seems like to fully take advantage of the wonderful Quiet oasis at the pool and for the size of the hotel there are not nearly enough loungers or tables snd chairs people had to lie in the grass area on towels. Would recommend loungers all the way around the pool snd the tables and chairs pushed back to the paving area and add additional tables and chairs!

Great breakfast, very nice people and overall a hotel with a distinctive charm and character. The concierge and front desk staff were always attentive and helpful.

We ha booked 2 singles and 1 double. For some reason the room allocated for double occupancy was the smallest and it had no access to the balcony (both of which we had paid for when booking). Their initial attempt to rectify this was very poor and only when I contacted the management staff that this was sorted out to our satisfaction: a grand room with access to a functional balcony. But overall a very pleasant stay and I would have no hesitation on staying there in future.

STAFF - The staff make this hotel. From the reception team to the housekeeping team. The housekeeping manager was exceptionally helpful after some issues with our room and made us all feel comfortable after some improvements and looking after our child.

ROOM - We stayed on the 2nd floor and the rooms are of course in keeping with the colonial design, however lack the latest features of most mainstream hotels, from extraction fans in the bathroom hence dampness smell, C plug charges for phones etc. BREAKFAST - Although the food is of good quality the options for fruit and vegetables could be improved. POOL - the lack of sun beds is a problem during peak times, even is a few more were added to the grass areas.
