This was my second stay at the property. It is located in a quiet area and has clean, well appointed rooms. The staff is very welcoming and makes every effort to cater to your needs. There is no on-site restaurant but a limited kitchen which can whip up fairly decent snack or meal with notice, breakfast menu is limited but decent and served with attention and as much customisation as possible.

A minor detail was about very limited space to keep toiletries in the bathroom, likely due to an older bathroom design- it was still very clean and decently sized with all modern amenities available.

We had a great stay at Coronell’s Retreat! The location is ideal — centrally positioned and perfect for accessing all the main sights in Delhi. The place was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A definite highlight was the dinner, which was absolutely delicious and felt thoughtfully prepared.

The bed was a bit too firm for our personal preference, though others might not mind it. Compared to the amazing dinner, the breakfast felt a bit underwhelming and could use a bit more variety. Also, the scrambled eggs were made with milk, which I couldn’t eat - would have been good to know in advance.

The room was very clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed and maintained, with all the amenities we needed inside the room for a comfortable stay. The rooftop dining area was a lovely surprise—peaceful and airy, and the food served was very homely. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed breakfast. We especially appreciated the attention to small details, like filtered water in glass bottles, sustainable practices, and the warm, personal touches throughout the property. The location is also convenient, with easy access to key parts of the city while still being peaceful and secure—particularly important as I was traveling with my daughter.

There are a few areas that could be improved to enhance guest comfort. The breakfast spread was fairly limited, with just a few continental options and some Indian dishes like slices of paratha and dosa, Idli. Additionally, since breakfast is served at the table rather than buffet-style, it felt a bit restrictive—you have to request and ask for each item individually, which can be slightly inconvenient even though the staff is very prompt and courteous in serving. Also, the tea and coffee could be improved. Given how excellent tea is in many places across Delhi, a richer and more flavourful brew would certainly elevate the experience.

The property is a great location easy access to metro and Tuk Tuks. Staff are kind and generous nothing is too much trouble. The bar on the roof although not open as too cold when we stayed is a great place to relax and unwind. Our room although not in main house which at first we thought was a little strange turned out to be a blessing as very quiet and private. The lounge area was a good space to sit and read. We got to go to Agra and visit Taj Mahal. So it was well worth the trip.

Nothing everything was enough to rest recoup and enjoy the sensory overload which is India.

Staying at Colonel's Retreat was a treat indeed. The staff welcomed and pampered us from the moment we stepped in till we left. The whole hotel and room were very clean and beautifully furnished. The shower was strong with hot water. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and generous. The location is about 7 min walk to the Metro station. It is a direct line to the Red Fort. A big shout out to Pamood and Devender. They served and helped us through our entire stay. Highly recommended this hotel if you are in Delhi.

Loved the spacious lounges, the rooftop terrace, the delicious food, and the wonderful staff who couldn't do enough to help. The rooms were clean and had every facility you could want. It was very humid in Delhi when we stayed and some of the rooms were quite damp, possibly we could have controlled that with use of the air conditioning units. We had an early start and the night security guard helped us with our cases and had a packed breakfast for each of us which was so helpful. There is afternoon tea provided for all who want it on the top terrace - this was a lovely touch.

The only thing was the damp atmosphere in some of the rooms.

The place had a very homey feel to it and the decor was beautiful. Clean stay with daily housekeeping and the staff are very nice - always ready to help. We asked to store our luggage on our last day, get small change for the cab rides and other small requests and the team were very happy to assist us. The breakfast on the rooftop is also nice and simple with some varieties. The setting is beautiful with lots of beautiful flowers to take in the morning with sunlight. Location is also great, in a guarded area and close to major markets. Overall, great stay and I would return.

This property was like a home away from home during our time in Delhi. The staff were kind and helpful and our room was very comfortable. The hotel provided us with a transfer from the airport which was great as we arrived quite late. The breakfast was delicious each morning, especially the famous banana bread and the Bombay scrambled egg. Another nice touch was the complimentary dinner for one night and high tea every evening between 5-6pm. It was nice to have some chai tea and biscuits/ chocolate cake after exploring the city. Defence colony location was super handy and quiet- we were right beside the metro and there were grocery shops within a 5 minute walk away. Overall I highly recommend this place and would stay again if I come back to Delhi :)

An oasis from the mayhem of Delhi. We loved the staff and excellent hospitality this place provided. The location in Defence Colony is a green and peaceful area of the city while still being very accessible to the centre and usual tourist spots. The staff are lovely and the home cooked food at the hotel is excellent (including the complementary breakfast) - we would recommend having lunch or dinner on the roof.

Some of the rooms are in a separate building - this was not an issue for us and we liked our room (very clean, spacious and included a massive comfy bed) but it could possibly be a bit clearer when you are booking.

Safe area of Delhi to base yourself in. 30 mins from airport and a cheap taxi ride to tourist spots. Very quiet residential road Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed Staff went over and above to help Restaurant on roof was a nice spot for breakfast, complementary tea and cake and the occasional good quality / value dinner Keeping our bags while we did an overnight trip to Amritsar Sitting rooms on every level were a nice place to relax and meet fellow travellers

Some minor noise could be heard from reception and the other rooms but it did not disturb our time there Limited choice of restaurants in local area meant we mainly ate in. Food in the restaurant was great, but we would have liked better options to eat out too
