The property was well maintained with a good cottage size. There was lot greenery and a good cozy swimming pool. The beach was close by. The staff were helpful and accommodative especially the fooding staff at Waves restaurant. The food quality was excellent.

For kids activities we're not there, the games room does not have quality equipments and all were broken and damaged. The food options should have been more.The beach should have better seating options with hotel arranged snacks in the evening.

beautifully maintained property with elegant decorations. it’s a boutique hotel with only a few cottages and rooms spread over a decent amount of space, no large ugly buildings and so the common areas/services are never busy or crowded. nice pool and beach. the food at the breakfast was good and the service and behavior of the staff was excellent.

the hotel shows age in several places like our bathroom tiles etc. the air conditioner in our room was also sub par and couldn’t really cool the room properly in what was a relatively mildly warm weather for Puri. the AC also kept making an annoying vibration noise.

Beautiful location, clean well maintained private beach, very courteous and helpful staff, food variety at the buffet, the way the cottages are arranged with garden access. Everything was excellent

Front desk manager response was very arrogant, we have booked for half board & wanted to shift for lunch instead of dinner but he refused saying 8:20 pm is late for this communication as we have never faced such issue in any other 5star properties it was very unusual for me.

Harsh went over and beyond, Very accommodating and kind. The restaurant staff (Chinese restaurant) was extremely polite and courteous..Food was excellent. I would highly recommend the Mayfair!.

We were planning to extend our checkout by an hour since we were not done with packing but we were rushed out since some vip was planning to stay in the same room. We were provided a guest house for our extended stay of 1 hour though.

We enjoyed our stay. Actually it was our second stay there. We stayed at this property in 2008 too. Was surprised to find it better than last time. We really had fun.

The location was great....it is connected directly to the beach. The room had a common garden area that had a view of the pool and ocean which was excellent. It is very near the Jagannath Temple (a 5-minute ride in an auto). The staff is very polite. Mr. Ashok took really good care in the dining area on all days of our stay. Other staff, including housekeeping, was also very polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a good spread. In room, dining was also good.

The property is a bit old and worn out. While it didn't affect the quality of the stay, for the money that they charge, I would have expected better. They have a pool at the bar but it is woefully stocked. They were unable to serve Beer for the entire duration of my stay. Again, for the charges, which exceed good 5-star hotels, better service is expected. The bathroom is not designed well. Shower curtains are short and drainage was not proper - the whole area got wet after each use. Finally, the most disappointing bit was that the kids above 6 years of age as adults. While it is stated in their T&C, you need to read carefully. I would have liked the hotel staff to remind of this at the time of check-in to ensure that there are no surprises at the end.

The ac was malfunctioning but the staff took immediate action. Apart from that no other complaints.
