Daspan House is a magical, peaceful oasis in Jodhpur and a perfect base from which to explore the city. A stunning red sandstone facade, beautiful interiors and immaculate garden - this place is a pure joy to behold. The hotel is secluded and intimate, offering guests the highest levels of comfort and service. My room, 302, looked out over the beautiful gardens. There are lovely verandas, courtyards and terraces throughout, all designed to perfection. Breakfast was ample and fresh with very good choices and the Bar served a great range of snacks, meals and drinks. The Staff throughout were fantastic - welcoming, smiling, helpful and courteous. This small hotel offers a 5* experience - a very special place. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to family and friends - I would love to return. Thank you all for making my visit to Jodhpur special.

The outdoor garden area is LOVELY.. I felt at peace sitting there through the day.. it is very well maintained and a peaceful place in the midst of the hustle bustle of the city. The staff is very sweet. They helped us with a guide and many recommendations. The bar and the restaurant has good food.

Our room's bathroom was really small. Wish it was bigger. But not all rooms have the same size of the bathroom. My parents' room had a much bigger bathroom.

Gorgeous property, old world elegance, top service, many delightful places to be outside of your room... Garden, rooftop pool, verandas, courtyard... Classic decor, lovely green garden. Comfortable room. Excellent food. Quiet neighborhood but hotel expansion construction on the new addition was going on so could be noisy near the pool. Room had a sitting area with lovely garden view but felt very exposed.

The windows of our first floor room had chairs on the lawn right outside - which were constantly occupied- so we had to keep our curtains closed in the room and bath for privacy. The desk chair was awfully uncomfortable and made a horrible sound when moved. Location is in an upscale residential area so you must drive to anything.

Beautifully restored 1920s mansion, with infinity pool overlooking Mughel garden. Restaurant was delightful with infinite variety of delicious Rajastani, Indian and European breakfast options, and high quality dining. Staff were always perfectly attentive. Rooms and public spaces are tastefully decorated and all the facilities were first rate.

The neighbourhood is quiet and residential, but not really within walking distance of Jodhpur's historic highlights. Uber and tuktuks are cheap and plentiful, getting to the centre in around 10 mins. There's building work ongoing next door, not really a problem for us, but some people might be bothered by it.

We visited 9 hotels during our travel in India and that was for sure the best place ever. The property is new and very well maintained. We got to choose our room from two options, and the maître who showed us around was incredibly kind. The place really feels like walking into a fairytale garden. The pool is beautiful, the rooms are new, and the bathroom has a nice big shower. The restaurant was good too, even if a bit expensive and quite spicy. Breakfast was honestly one of the best, with both traditional and continental choices. I was a bit worried at first because we didn’t pay much for our stay, but the hotel turned out to be way nicer and cozier than others we tried that cost double or even triple. If I come back to India, I’ll definitely make a stop here again to enjoy the garden and all the services a bit more.

Staying in Daspan House was like royals being pampered. The moment we stepped into this historical house built in 1921, we were greeted and treated with generous kindness and love. Nothing to fault in this house but only praise. From the warm service to the tasteful decor. We truly enjoyed our 2 nights stay here in a quiet gem, away from the businesses and noise, relaxed in a pool or garden. The location is accessible by tuk tuk or cab to the attractions. Thank you Anuj and his team for the generous hospitality. They surprised us with a treat when we celebrated our wedding anniversary at the restaurant. The food was the best by far in our month long travel in India. I highly recommend this house if you are in Jodhpur to have a memorable experience.

A school friend and I booked a short getaway to Jodhpur just after Independence Day and after a lot of contemplation settled on a fairly new boutique property ‘Daspan House’ which is about 10mins from the airport and in a central location. At first glance you might miss the entrance as it’s in a residential area but one you arrive you are instantly transported to a different place. The building facade is in beautiful red stone with ivy like flowering creepers reminiscent of an era gone by. The decor is beautifully done (we were told the owners personally picked out each item and designed the space). The service is impeccable. Each member of the staff made us feel welcome and very much at home. From giving us suggestions to ensuring that our every request was taken care of, we couldn’t have asked for more (except for wishing that the spa was ready for service since it’s currently under construction). They do have a lovely pool though. The property was spotlessly clean and the staff is hands on (many of them double hatting their responsibilities quite happily keeping customer satisfaction in mind). The bar beautifully done up (I personally loved the way the helmets were placed as wall decor) and Salim and Aakash who man the bar even encouraged us to try their specially made cocktails. Salim made me a lovely drink using fresh plum which was downed quite quickly lol. They also have heritage liquor tastings. I could go on but Daspan House is an experience and I would definitely recommend a stay. My heartfelt thanks especially to Anuj, his counterpart (whose name I seem to have forgotten unfortunately) and Swita, Salim, Aakash, all restaurant staff who ensured our comfort. We experienced true hospitality. I’m sure this will be a go to property in the days to come and wish them every success!

The only improvement would be a revamp of the food which could be a lot better. The kebabs were excellent though!

The staff make this place... Of course it's luxurious, the rooms are well appointed, the garden is quaint and comfortable but the staff go above and beyond. They are understanding, kind, warm, like family and know when to take accountability and ownership (we had a small issue with the rate which was the hotel's mistake).... The last two are very important in the make-up of a person. Always. Breakfast options were varied and fantastic and overall my mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience.... Thank you.

This is an exceptional property tucked away in a residential area. Once you get into the property you can appreciate its beauty. The lounge area, garden and dining room are beautiful and give the experience of being in a royal residence. Rooms are large and beautifully decorated and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good with a lot of choice ( I would recommend Indian). Staff are helpful and courteous. The place is close to most attractions although a car would be needed.

The only issue we had was that hot water wasn’t working whist we stayed but it was a minor issue and didn’t bother us much. I think the property could do with a large / modern television in the room to enhance the experience.

This was really an exceptional stay. After a long car drive it was really like arriving to heaven when we opened the door and entered this hotel. Everything is very clean, staff is exceptional, the deco is beautiful and the rooms are big and specious. The food is also very tasty. We tried the thali and was fantastic. One of the best things here was the garden in the courtyard, where one could read a book or just relaxed after a long day walking around the city.

It must be said, that it is not the perfect location, but it didn't bother us.
