Reservation people at backend are bit unprofessional and could have managed queries in a better way. Even after multiple calls they didn't responded and gave no solution. But overall the stay is positive

The location is perfect but the way to the hotel is extremely bad. There is no road whatsoever. Avoid reaching after sunset, the whole 16 kms from base of mountain to Kothli is a rocky drive with risk of vehicle failure/ tyre bursts.

Headed there for a birthday weekend and found everything to be absolute perfect. From the location, to the staff, service and food, there's nothing to dislike. Also, at a very reasonable price.

The location and food was amazing

The constant power issue. The staff apparently shuts down the geyser, tv and heaters when they want because of power overloading they're facing. Which means, we had to keep calling to get the basic amenities after paying a premium. The manager should resolve the issue at their end because when there are many guests using the facilities, they keep rationing and shutting it. It was a very annoying experience which made me want to leave on day 2. It's not the guest's problem if they can't resolve power issues. So if you're heading there, get ready to take bath in cold water, non heated rooms and many more basic inconveniences at an expensive cost.

The location is beautiful, very high up on a hill. Not easy to reach as the road is not good, difficult on a two-wheeler but worth it when you get there. The room was very spacious with a great view and a private balcony and it is very peaceful on the whole. There was a lovely lounge and some fun swinging chairs to relax in. The food portions provided were of a very generous size.

We booked this especially because on booking.com it said "This double room offers a fireplace. The double room provides air conditioning, soundproof walls, a terrace with garden views as well as a private bathroom featuring a bath." It also said there was a plunge pool (and this is repeated on the hotel's menu, an invitation to eat pool-side). A bath is rare to find in India as is a pool in Rishikesh so we were excited about this. However on arrival, we found out that actually there were none of those things, so we were disappointed. Those things, as advertised, were the reason we booked. We would have been flexible about it because the place really is nice, however when we spoke to the manager he was argumentative, asking us for screenshots to prove the facilities were advertised and then he was unapologetic about it. Told us the property was full and so was Rishikesh (with the implication we should just put-up-and-shut-up). My partner had to speak with him at length and due to the lack of good customer service we ended up feeling bad. We were not responsible for the incorrect advertising, we just went off what was said on Booking.com. The manager eventually said we could get complimentary dinner and snacks as a gesture of goodwill, so all seemed well. However when it came to dinner we were told that we were only allowed certain items (the cheapest ones!) and could not order off the menu like all the other guests. There must have been 5 phone calls about this which made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. It really spoiled my stay to be honest. I'm a regular visitor to Rishikesh but I won't return to Kothli unfortunately, due to this incident, which is a shame.

UNSAFE!!! My friend and I (2 young female) had a horrific experience in Kothli Hills. During the night, there were men outside of our room, trying to get in, knocking aggressively for minutes yelling to us to open the door. We were terrified and had to leave immediately the day after. The hotel did not explain us what happened, they instead argued that there was no one there, which was obviously not true. We did not feel safe and decided to leave, and the hotel still made us pay for the remaining hotel night.
