One of the best properties we have stayed ever. The staff were super courteous and extremely supportive. The property is very neat, well kept and everything about the hotel was just above expectation. I need to call out some names of people who served us too well surprising industry standards. Mary, Roshni and Natasha from the first floor bar. Extremely courteous. Sony and Holyland from the restaurant on the ground floor offered excellent service. Even the chef Tulsi came to our table and we shared some good feedback with him.

There was apparently some manager who came from outside Shillong I think; who was taking an entire team around and he was discussing matters quite loud, without heading to the guests - customers should be a priority in the service industry and such discussions should be carried out during times when customers are not around and in places where it’s private for them. I was taken aback how senior managers (if he’s one) can overlook such minor matters. At the bar, he was almost next to our table and we could hear the discussions. 🤦🏼‍♂️ That was the only negative incident during our stay. Sometimes senior managers could completely destroy the good efforts of the staff!!!

State of the art property, had an alluring atmosphere. The greatest point being the staff, they were pleasantly welcoming and showered us with great hospitality. The food served to us was nothing less than the food you'd expect from a Michelin Star Restaurant; breakfast buffet counter was very lively and incomparable with any other star property. Four live counters and live flute music in the morning were extremely charming. The executive lounge experience in the evening was incredible. 1. Lydia at Front Desk Lead 2. Having stayed with other Marriott Properties, Taj, Le Meridian, ITC, Radisson etc., this stay with Courtyard Shillong has been very special and memorable for us. We had a fabulous stay at Courtyard Marriott Shillong from 17 to 22 Nov 24. The check in was smooth and we were given a room on top floor with awesome view of the Shillong city. The room size was spacious with very elegant décor. The hotel staff was very courteous and always smiling. We would like to particularly thank the hospitality extended by Mr James, Mr Pandey, Mr Chandan and Ms Neha. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the sumptuous dishes during breakfast and dinner. The location is very close to the main bazar of Shillong. Overall a superb stay in this beautiful and well maintained property.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. The chef,Mr Ranjan was very helpful and managed to provide us a cake at midnight on our special request. Miss Anamika served us dinner and was very polite and cooperative,she helped us with our special meal request and was very kind and caring towards us. Miss Kiki provided us a parting delicacy and was very sweet. Overall,the stay was wonderful and we are looking forward to make courtyard by Marriott stays a part of our future trips.

The food items in the menu were very limited. They should include more indian dishes,homestyle dishes in their menu.

The Courtyard Marriott is centrally located in Shillong with very attentive staff, and wonderful breakfast spread. Nice and comfortable stay with a good poolside area for relaxing in the evening.

The central location makes it a little time consuming to get to from a traffic perspective, however easy to walk to the central police bazaar area if that is of interest. We also observed a stale smell in the room at check-in as if someone had been smoking indoors, however although the staff helped us with room fresheners we didn't get offered a different room to stay. The hotel was quite busy and one evening the poolside was not accessible due to a private party.

Very friendly & professional staff. One feels at home at the hotel & we had an amazing stay with family. If you are planning to visit Shillong then don’t look anywhere else except this hotel to stay whether you’re traveling with family or as couple. Special shout out to Ms. Dewan for her friendliness & made sure that our kids had a memory stay. She is reaching out to every guest to make sure that everyone is having a comfortable stay. Also Ms. Manaswita is such a bright star & happily serving each & every guest in the restaurant.

Absolutely nothing

The F&B team were the best. So attentive and food was great. Every single member of the team were so involved with taking care of the guests like family. The concierge staff were really good too. Their spa/massage centre staff is fantastic as well. Very impressed and will only be staying with them whenever I go back to Shillong.

The staff are sweet and helpful. They radiate warmth, and they love working at the one-year-old hotel. Thank you, Trisha, Staphanie, and Laaria. And Jogita, thank you for helping me with the last day's booking, which I had forgotten! The room has everything that one would expect from such a place. Soundproofing is excellent, and the curtains are thick and cut all the light. And if you leave it open, the sun will wake you up at five am! The local market and an authentic Khasi food place, Trattoria, are within walking distance.

The housekeeping staff seemed to have gotten infected, perhaps by my amnesic field - but they made it up so well that I wouldn't dare complain about niggles. You could consider using reusable water bottles to reduce the use of plastic bottles. Despite you showing me that, I had difficulty figuring out how to put the air conditioning into the warming mode to my preferred temperature of 26 degrees.

I loved most of the things . Lovely , smiley, happy faces and very helpful staff. Food was delicious . Breakfast options were plenty and me and my family loved it totally. At restaurant, staff were so kind and helpful. Loved the concept of complementary evening snacks and drink . I can’t forget the taste of guava Mary. Overall perfect except two things which I highlighted in below section .

The first disappointing thing was empty Mini Bar . I didn’t expect this from Marriott . When I called help desk , they mentioned , based on your order , we will send you . But it was weird for me digest , The purpose of mini bar is any time guest feel hungry , they can utilise it and pay during checkout . Second disappointing thing was , bath room door of our room 615 was not easy to lock and unlock . Most of the time , we had to call our family member to push the door towards bathroom , so that lock unlock becomes easy.

Clean room with coffee maker, electric iron, hair drier in the room, prompt room service, free wifi, big bed, suitable for 2 adults and a kid, great city view from the room, clean bathroom, great breakfast spread, smooth check-in and check-out, friendly staff, great location.

Couldn't get the tv to work, sofa served as extra bed, which was not very comfortable, closing the bathroom door was tricky.
