Initially, I had reserved the room for only one day with the intention of physically inspecting and booking another hotel for the remaining three days. Despite the hotel not boasting extravagant aesthetics, the warmth, cooperation, and genuine hospitality extended by the owner, Sameer Yousuf, compelled me to prolong my stay for the entire four days. I explored Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam during my travels, all while staying in Srinagar with well-organized travel arrangements facilitated by the hotel owner. Situated right next to Dal Lake, this hotel's only drawback is its location on a pedestrian road, inaccessible to large vehicles. A three-minute walk from the ghat is necessary, or alternatively, one can always opt for the delightful experience of using the "Shikara," a special boat on Dal Lake, from ghat 1 directly to the hotel door.

Spacious and clean room with a beautiful view of Dal Lake. The washroom was modern and well-equipped with quality fittings. Complimentary tea/coffee sachets and sulphate-free toiletries were a nice touch. Fresh towels were provided daily. The Smart TV with Netflix was a great addition. Food was tasty, especially the sandwiches. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the host even arranged a cab and Shikara ride for us. The location is excellent—right in the heart of Srinagar, close to Lal Chowk and just 9 km from the airport. A totally worthy place to stay and relax in Srinagar!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel right on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar, and I must say – it was an experience to remember! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were clean, spacious, and offered stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains – waking up to that view every morning felt like a dream. One of the highlights of the stay was the easy access to Shikara rides right from the hotel. It was peaceful to sit by the lake and just watch the life on water go by – truly relaxing and refreshing. The food was delicious, with a mix of authentic Kashmiri dishes and other cuisines, all freshly prepared. The hotel maintained a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. If you’re planning a trip to Srinagar and want a stay that’s both scenic and soothing, I highly recommend Hotel Crescent. The location, service, and overall ambiance make it a perfect choice for couples, families, or solo travelers. Looking forward to returning soon!

Excellent location, close to the lake, the bus and taxi station; restaurants and shops nearby. Our room is spacious and comfortable with a lake view. Impeccable cleanliness. We spent there 3 nights; The young owner is very attentive to guests' needs and can arrange anything you need (taxi service, tours, craft purchases, SIM cards, breakfast/lunch/dinner in the room, etc.). He helped us retrieve our luggage, which had arrived late at the airport. A Very nice experience.

Hotel Crescent is an exceptional family run hotel. From the first communications with Sameer - the manager, I knew I had chosen the right place to stay. He arranged pick up from the airport and was waiting for me on the main road to carry my bag to the hotel! The hotel is situated on the banks of the lake, but on a quieter road. There are many local families that live here, and it’s lovely seeing the children playing games on the street. The nearby busier area of the lake - ghat number 1 - is only a 5 minute walk, but it’s super busy and only hotels and Shikara (boat) ride sellers are there. This location is perfect as it’s away from traffic (no cars near the hotel) and therefore away from noise too. All you hear are the peaceful birds and calls to prayer. The rooms are beautiful - big, spacious and clean which is the most important thing for me. Although no AC, the fan is more than enough for the hot august weather, so don’t let that put you off. Bathrooms are great, hot water 24/7 and towels, toiletries etc all provided. Even slippers! I got a free room upgrade too, but both rooms have fabulous views overlooking the river. You can see the Shikaras and local fishermen rowing past throughout the day. The menu for the hotel is amazing, available whenever you want anything, and freshly cooked to order by his family who live behind the hotel. There are lots of things to do here in Srinagar and it can be quite overwhelming, but Sameer was amazing at helping me plan some activities etc. He is very knowledgeable about the best things to do and has a lot of contacts. You can just sit back and relax and let him sort everything out. He even drove me to a few places himself which was very kind. I did 2 shikara rides through him with Altaf, who is a wonderful man. It was more like a tour - we had great conversation and I learned a lot from him about local life and culture. Stay here - you won’t regret it! I will definitely be returning for my next trip!

Good location, facing the lake, close to Boulevard Road. Big windows, lots of light and air, you will see Shikaras floating by regularly. Regular water supply including hot water, big geyser. Tons of complimentary welcome kit items. Power back up for fan, lights, and USB charging. Small shops nearby including a fresh Kashmiri bread shop. Outstanding food, it doesn’t get better, makes it a homestay experience!

Housekeeping staff needs training. Power cuts are frequent but reliable back up makes up for it. It’d be great if one regular power outlet had power back up too, preferably close to the bed, thanks!

It was our 2nd time that we rebooked this property to stay in Srinagar. Smooth Check In while picking us from Ghat No 1 till Hotel Crescent. A free Shutter service Shikara was provided especially for our Check In & Check Out which was really helpful as we were travelling with huge luggages in Kashmir. As usual rooms were quite clean, spacious and presentable. It’s a best property located on the bank of Dal Lake. We had the best experience here. The staff is really helpful. I highly recommend this place for it's Impeccable Service & Hospitality. So, overall it's a great stay not only because of the location, service and view but also because of the personal care and attention provided by the staff at the hotel. It was really commendable and will definitely make me visit there third time.

Our stay at the Hotel Crescent on Dal Lake was nothing short of magical. The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning location and the serene beauty of the lake surrounded by majestic mountains. The hotel had a beautifully decorated rooms with spacious tidy washrooms. Room was spacious, immaculately clean, and offered breathtaking views of the lake and mountain. The service we received was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always attentive, friendly, and ready to assist with any request. The cooked meals served In Room Dinning were delicious and gave us a true taste of local Kashmiri cuisine. What truly set this experience apart were the little touches and the attention to detail. From the cozy decor to the thoughtful amenities provided, everything was designed to make us feel good. The hotel’s surroundings were equally impressive. We enjoyed leisurely shikara rides, exploring the local markets, and simply relaxing in the room, taking in the peaceful ambiance and stunning sunrise over Dal Lake. In summary, this hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and authentic local experience. The beautiful rooms, excellent location, outstanding service, and wonderful staff made our stay truly unforgettable. First is the exceptional view from the hotel room on winters. We came for a 5N 4D kashmir trip and we just planned to try Hotel Cresent for the first 1N stay. Started with shikara ride to hotel, while reached Dal gate ghat No 1, After experiencing the exceptional service from hotel staff and the cleaniness, we fixed to go ahead with the hotel cresent for whole stay in kashmir. Our First time in Indian hotel visits, we experienced the hotel staff was one or two seconds away from replying to our needs while staying there. (Exceptional) Worth for the money in kashmir : No doubt Room Heater facilities were so comfortable and they provided Electric blankets which were very essential if you are coming in winters. Thankyou Hotel cresent and their staffs for always reachable to support us while staying in your property

Only thing was we have to walk a little through the dal gate walk way , if you like to walk a little, its too good to watch scenic beauty of dal lake and life of local kasmiris
