Wow! Just wow! If you are ever planning a trip to kanatal... just book the Hermitage. The property is amazing and everything you would want in an offbeat location. We had booked somewhere else and that place was bad to another level. We were in a messy situation with a toddler but Hermitage was kind enough to accept our last minute booking and answer our call at 6 in the morning. Forever thankful to the lady I spoke to. We booked the forest facing rooms and the calmness you will experience their is on another level. And the owner will give you major rishi kapoor vibes. Always smiling guy with a hot tea in his hand! Thank you for making our first trip to kanatal fab! Also guys the food is amazing! Missed tandoori snacks that's all!

Tandoori snacks weren't available so our drinks were missing their snack partners!

The property's location would take your breath away. You can view the pine forest and Shivalik Range right from the room/terrace or patio. Mr. Bhatia is an amazing host with who you would love to indulge in discussions about the history of the property. His hospitality is really appreciated. Ranbir who is the main manager, would take care of all your needs and all the staff members are very hospitable. Please ensure you go for the Deluxe Double Room to view the forest right from your room. We had an amazing experience and would love to visit again. The Hermitage is a beautiful place on top of a mountain ridge from which you can see the snow capped mountains with clear weather. The staff is very friendly, food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxed. I can highly recommend this place.

The locations was good and the stay was comfortable. Host and managers were very helpful. The food quality was good but service takes long time appx 30-45 mins. Go for the food which chef can prepare well as not all the items were upto the mark.

Initially very small room was given which was not upto the mark. Mattress heater was not working later it was corrected.

What I loved was the warmth of the staff and owner Mr Bhatia, they took extra care for my parents

Location is good. The hotel is surrounded by mountains and Jungle. Well behaved and helpful staff. Tasty food. Special thanks to the manager, Mr. Ranveer, who also managed to serve us traditional delicacies like Jhanhora ki Kheer, Gehut daal etc.

Only thing is if cleanliness can be maintained better than what it was. i can understand the windy nature around makes it difficult but still it can be managed if they keep cleaning without guest asking for it.

Staff was polite and excellent, loved there services and behaviour.

Owner's behaviour of this property is something we didn't like. he is very rude and lives in attitude irrespective of guest expectation

The breakfast menu was limited but the quality & taste of the food was amazing. The location & ambience of the property is commendable.
