We loved our stay here! It’s comfortable, quiet and very clean, the bed is comfy and the room is spacious. The shower was good. There’s free filter water in the kitchen. Even with just a fan, the room was cool. Wi-Fi was good and the owner is friendly, he helped us book a taxi to the airport (although the taxi driver over charged us as ‘he didn’t have change’ which was annoying). The location is good and it’s only a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The laundry was super quick (same day) and so cheap! Would recommend.

Hardly ever anyone on reception (so when we checked in we had to wait a while, but we were quite early) - but the owner gave us his whatsapp so we could contact him whenever we needed anything.

Mr Roshan, the host, is extremely friendly. He keeps the building immaculate. Roshan always has a smile on his face. He appears to be doing this for the love of the business! Happy Buddha S4 exceeds your expectations in every way; it is in far better condition than a few other hotels that charge three or four times as much. Keep up the good work, Roshan. I hope to see the brand grow. Note: You must trust me and go there blindly; I stayed in three different hotels during this trip, and the last one charged me three times what Happy Buddha charged me and delivered only 10% ( service and quality) of happy budha.

No major dislike, may be this can be a help tip to others: Happy budha S4 has a 'no slippers' policy inside the building, you need to keep your shoes and slippers outside the main door. I was not aware of this. So, if you dont like the 'cold feet' in the morning out of the bed, then you need to carry a clean bedroom slippers. Later, Mr. roshan told me that floor mats and extra slippers can also be arranged as per request, while booking.

When I book a hotel in India, cleanliness is what I care about the most. I can say Happy Buddha is one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in India. And what is even better than cleanliness is the owner Roshan. He is very cool yet helpful. I really enjoyed talking to him and the vibe he created for Happy Buddha. Looking forward to my next visit and parties at the soon-to-be-finished rooftop!

Breakfast and food and drink facilities were not yet available but is in the process of being made available shortly. Beach within walking distance. Several shops and restaurants available nearby. Tea/coffee making facilities available in the common area as well as filtered water.

It is a really beautiful property everything new renovated with nice details everywhere. It felt quiet luxurious to me they even have hot showers. Everything is clean and neat. Super helpful and nice staff they really make sure you have everything you need. The location is great walking distenc to the cliff and beach but also quiet. There are basic kitchen facilities to use. All around everything was perfect.

The best hotel in Varkala and the best host. Roshan is very friendly and hospitable. This is a new hotel with modern design. The room is clean and spacious. It is very good location. There is everything you need: hot water, drinking water, excellent Wi-Fi on any floor. We really enjoyed staying there. We highly recommend! When we return to Varkala, then only in Happy Buddha!

The kitchen was not very well equiped and not perfectly clean. No pots were there. Still we managed to cook lunch and breakfast, which we really appreciated.

The ambience, staff , owner Roshan ... It's so peaceful and calm. We were a group of 4 girls and it was super safe. Roshan helped us a lot with last minute requirements. Very helpful and a must visit property for sure

One of the best places I stayed at in India. Well located, big and clean room and toilet, excellent quality price relationship. Nice place and extremely nice staff, very helpful too. I strongly recommend it!

The air conditioned room was really comfortable during the hot weather. And the room is very clean. It was helpful because I was tired. The owner is also very kind.
