I loved that the hotel was right beside a big tennis, pickleball, and padel center so every morning my friends and I could just wake up and walk right on over to play before grabbing a yummy breakfast nearby. The staff were super helpful in helping us book the courts, as well as recommending us places to visit. It's a small boutique hotel so was never noisy. The rooms were of different colors and were beautiful to look at. Would definitely stay again!

Sometimes the bedsheets had a humidity smell. Not sure why that is, but my guess is they might have sat wet for too long or were not fully dried. The staff quickly changed it when I asked though.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at El Barrio Boutique Hotel in Canggu! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the vibrant and unique design of the hotel, blending Mexican and Brazilian influences in a way that felt both artistic and welcoming. A special shoutout to the manager, Gede, who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was flawless. His warm hospitality and attention to detail truly made a difference. The staff were incredibly friendly, and my room was stylish, and so comfortable. The outdoor pool area was perfect for relaxing, and the on-site restaurant and bar served delicious food and drinks. Everything exceeded my expectations—I'll definitely be back!

I was truly impressed by the vibrant colors of the hotel and the decor; it stands out in a sea of similar Bali aesthetics. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attentive staff made my stay even better. Although it’s at the end of a dirt road, the neighbors were friendly and welcoming. It is still a great location with lots of cafes and restaurants in walking distance. There was some construction nearby, but it didn’t disturb my experience at all. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Very attractive property, with very comfortable rooms (particularly for singles). Staff knows your name since there are only a few rooms. Despite all the construction on neighboring properties, El Barrio was quiet.

Two people in a room? They should be very friendly. It would be nice to have some food availability, although there are good restaurants not more than a 10 minute walk from your room.

The property is so clean. It’s aesthetically pleasing too. Whatever you see in the pictures, it looks identical and you’ll feel like you’re in paradise.

I would not say I don’t like it but maybe something they could consider. Rooms are not really soundproof so you can hear sounds from other huts if they’re loud. Besides that, the area around the hotel is a tad bit underdeveloped and can be scary at night however it does not concern me much bc within minutes it’s still accessible to everything else you can imagine.

It is a good looking, Instagrammable place but also when you’re just looking for a fancy, comfortable place to stay (like me) this is a good choice. Very helpful, good English speaking staff, I wanted to stay in bed longer because of the comfortable bed sheets and I felt like being home rather than in a hotel room. And yes, as you can read in other reviews people will pass your room. But noice didn’t bother me at all. Also the construction work in the street wasn’t a problem at all.

The rooms are not big. So if you are travelling together I can imagine you have to figure out where to put your suitcases and personal belongings. But there are two cabinets in the room so that you can keep the room tidy.

love the colours of the rooms and the and the pool area. the bed was so comfy and the bedding - we slept so well. good how dark it can be at night time. location was soo good to reach seminyak/canggu/kuta way. would definitely stay again

bit annoying the bathroom doors having slats in it so the morning light from skylight comes into the room. be good to have a solid door. but would still come back and stay again.

New hotel with vibrant colors. It looks like on the pictures. The communication of the hotel was very good. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Bed was co comfortable. Maybe the most comfortable bed during my Bali trip. There is a lot of construction around the building but I didn’t hear any noise during my 4 days stay. Can totally recommend staying there

A fridge would be nice to have, not necessary in the room but in the public area. I didn’t see a trash in the public area. Maybe I’ve overseen it.

The small hotel has amazing style, the bed was comfortable and we had clean bathroom and beachtowels everyday. There are a couple of sunloungers and a nice pool to have s short dip (not for swimming). You are in the centre of Canggu within 10 minutes by scooter. The staff was really helpfull and had our clothting washed from a nearby shop (so not paying the head price like normally in hotels).

I really have to think about what can be better, I can only think of a small fridge in the room.

The location was 7-10 mins by moto from the Canggu center, there are nice restaurants/cafés and convenience store around the corner. The hotel manager, Gede, was always making sure that my stay was going smooth - they even assisted me with the laundry. Ended up staying 3 more nights than initially anticipated. The hotel is just like in the pictures, very colourful and the swimming pool area, even though is small, it has nice sun exposure that you can enjoy to get some tan. I will return next time I am in Bali
