The property is 10 minutes away from the park entrance. Room is spacious, clean and the bed I comfortable. The ac is new and working very well. What is important the shower pressure is good and plenty of hot water. Lodge can provide a guide for you to visit the national park and I had a pleasure to attend a tour with Roy who is really nice passionate about the park. Lodge can provide you with meals. Lunch and dinner options are good and there is plenty of food, however, the breakfast is opposite - small omelette and really artificial pancakes are not something you want to start your day with.

The hotel was very pleasant, with rooms in several single-floor buildings set around a central garden, and the restaurant in a separate building beside the river. The room was clean, spacious and perfectly fine for our one-night stay. We did the two main forest walks, one in late afternoon and one in early morning. The price for the walks, including 5 minute car ride, was reasonable, and Roy, our jungle guide, was excellent.

The food menu is limited, but for a short stay it was tasty and satisfying. We had heavy rain during our morning jungle walk, but were still able to find black macaques (which walk comfortably among the tourists), hornbills and a mother and baby cuscus high in a tree, thanks to Roy.

The whole experience was great. The lodge is located very close to the national park, within walking distance. The rooms are clean, comfy, large and equipped with AC. The lodge provides guides into the forest. The prices as of March 2024 are 250,000pp for morning tours and 150,000pp for night tours. This doesn't include the 100,000 park fee per person. We were very lucky to be paired with Roy. He spotted things we never would have been able to, he has so much knowledge about the park, the animals and the area, and best of all, he's a cool guy. He's super friendly and easy to talk to, we cannot recommend him enough. For an extra cost the lodge can also provide food. It is so cheap and really incredible cooking. Thank you to all the people that made our stay so much fun!

We stayed two nights in the lodge while visiting the Tangkoko National Park. Among the options available in Tangkoko, this seems to be one of the better choices with spacious and clean bungalows and comfortable beds. Very close to park entrance (5 min walk). The lodge is also happy to organize transportation or guide for your park visit - we did two tours with Roy. Roy was a great guide - fun, entertaining and knowledgeable. He spotted many animals for us. We recommend to do both the morning and evening tours, so that you see all the animals (including the tarsiers, which cannot be seen during morning/day times).

Water pressure in the shower could be better, but no issue for a short 1-2 nights stay.

Located right after the entry into Batuputih, Tangkoko Lodge is a charming compound with a garden and a number of brightly-colored buildings. We were immediately greeted by Jokim & Erfan - friendly and helpful staff. The lodge has 3 types of accommodations for their guests. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom & aircon. We booked the Deluxe Room (standard room with king bed) for 3 nights, enjoyed our aircon unit, comfortable bed and found the shower to be satisfactory (with hot water available day or night). The restaurant has a bottled water dispenser. A water boiler is always out for you to make your Kopi Tubruk (hot water poured over coffee grounds-stir, let it settle and don’t drink the dregs) or Black Tea. Breakfast is included and lunch & dinner are IDR 75,000/meal, per person. The food is sangat enak & banyak. There are no menus, just ask what is available. Place your order for makan pagi (breakfast) the evening before, order makan siang (lunch) after breakfast and order makan malam (dinner) after lunch. We had everything from eggs and chicken to pork and fish prepared in soup or with noodles for lunch and dinner. Plenty of rice, vegetables and fresh cut fruit with any meal, just ask for it. Bobby, the owner and usual bird guide, was busy at his church due to it being Paska (Easter) weekend. Roy (Bobby’s apprentice) was our guide for birding and wildlife. Roy is delightful, friendly and quite fun. He was helpful in finding and identifying birds and wildlife. If there was a creature Roy didn’t know, he was kind enough to ask Bobby for us. Park fees: IDR 100,000/day, per person (weekdays) and IDR 150,000/day, per person (weekends & holidays). Tourists may need to adjust their expectations when traveling to remote locations. The heat and humidity take a toll on construction, but have no adverse effect on the beautiful spirit of the people you will meet. We loved our stay here and would easily visit here again.

Price lists for services (food, car service, tours) menus (standard offerings & “ask about” or special options). We did just fine without these, but it may be helpful for them to have this for easy communication to guests

Amazing place, nice and clean near (10 min walk) the entrance of tangkoko reserve. Especially the guides were amazing. Joachim took us in the morning and knew exactly where to go and look. Saw all the animals (hornbill, macaque, cuscus, kingfisher bird) that you go to see. Roy took us in the evening and took us to the best place (not to many other people) to see the tersier. Definitely recommend the place, but especially Joachim and Roy. Ask for them to be your guide, they are amazing guides!

Great location, just a short walk from the entrance to Tangkoko. There's space to sit and relax outside the room and the dining area. They helped organise our guide for a morning and afternoon walk in Tangkoko - our guide (Joachim) was truly excellent - he had an excellent ability to identify all the variety of birds, and to find the tarsiers, hornbills, cuscus and macaque

The four of us had a very enjoyable time at Tangkoko Lodge. Rooms were clean and spacious and the beds very comfortable. Bobby, who runs the lodge, was a kind and interesting man to talk to, Jamie, our guide for jungle and birding trips was knowledgeable and extremely obliging when it came to trying to find whichever creatures we were looking for and finally, Erfan was a brilliant driver. All three of them tried their very best to make sure our visit was successful and it was. We saw spectral tarsiers, several groups of Sulawesi black crested macaques, black tarantulas, cuscus and countless interesting birds including several hornbills. It would be a good idea to stock up beforehand on any special food items in Manado or Bitung as Tangkoko itself is very small. Highly recommended.

Simple but nice and comfortable room. You can also have lunch and dinner here for a small price. Breakfast was more than enough and every meal came with a tasty fruit platter! We loved our Tangkoko tours (morning for macaques, cuscus and hornbills and afternoon for tarsier monkeys and tarantula) with guide Joachim, definitely would recommend going with him!

Shower had hot water but very low water pressure.

The people at tangkoko Lodge were very welcoming and very helpful. The place is idyllic and serene and well maintained. The food is delicious and good value. The location is perfect to walk to the supermarket and the beach as well.
