The staff here have been incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. The hotel is located in a gated compound, so it feels very safe—quite a pleasant surprise to find such a stylish, premium property in one of the busier parts of South Jakarta. Breakfast was absolutely worth it, with an impressive variety of dishes to choose from—so many, in fact, that I couldn’t try them all in one stay! The location is also a huge plus, being just a short walk to the MRT station, making it easy to get around. The cleanliness, attention to detail, and overall premium atmosphere truly elevate the experience here.

If I could suggest a few improvements, the Wi-Fi connection in our room could be a bit faster, as we found it quite slow at times. It would also be great if the in-room TVs included apps like Netflix, since many of us don’t watch the usual hotel channels anymore. Providing more face towels or small towels would be appreciated, too. For the breakfast experience, it might help if some of the kitchen staff learned a bit of basic English, as I found it challenging to request a specific type of coffee. Offering oat milk as an alternative would also be a nice touch for guests who can’t have dairy. Lastly, the gym could be a little bigger to match the overall standard of the hotel, as it feels quite small for such a premium property.

Been in multiple top rated and 5 star hotels in Jakarta, yet Sutasoma won the best hotel ever in terms of all services! place is beyond expectations, well and luxurious belt, super clean, super safe, delicious dining for both breakfast and its in-house dining experience, room is well equipped with cozy ambiance! toped up with amazing staff whom literally around the clock helping and assisting with a smile, mad respect and much love to every single person behind Sutasoma Team ❤️. Place is highly recommended for those who will appreciate the various aspects of hospitality and inspired by meaningful details. Do not forget to order a coffee whenever you can grab one cause they are just sooooo good at making a piece of art behind that serving cup of coffee ❤️

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel and I was quite sad to leave. The staff were amazing - so kind, friendly and helpful. The room was luxurious, with class and elegance- but yet comfortable and felt like a home away from home. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety of options to suit western or Asian palates. There is an all day alicante menu with great choices of starters, mains and desserts. There is also a pastry cabinet located in the foyer fir a mid afternoon snack. The location is very convenient...a close walk to MRT station block A or even a small mall. Nothing was too much trouble and I highly recommend this hotel. Shhhh don't tell too many others!

The towels were looking a little worn out.

This place is like a homecoming, far away from home. Every time we are in Jakarta, we always stay at this hotel. We really like the location, the staff is wonderful and very friendly and the hotel is just perfect for us. Everyone in this hotel is so friendly and helpful. We enjoy staying there every time and look forward to our next visit. What we like most about this hotel is the people. Due to the size of the hotel, the atmosphere is very informal. After a few stays there, the staff know us and are always willing to help us and have a quick chat.

Really beautiful hotel - always love a place that has exceptional interior design choices. Rooms are superb and very clean - it had everything we needed and the layout is really nice. Bed is very comfortable. A hair dryer that actually dries my hair instead of those really weak ones that just waft a little warm air at you - big plus at the end of a long trip.

Room service was charged on the spot instead of being added to our bill at the end - that was a bit weird because we had a staff member in our room faffing with a card machine when we just wanted to eat our food and relax in a private space. And the machine wasn't working, so it got drawn out more than it should have.

Housekeeping in room could be better. I was happy to get a welcome platter when we checked in, but it was left for 2-3days in my room not being cleaned up. I had to leave it outside my room for it to be picked up. Bathroom was also not cleaned properly, I found a cotton buds from someone's previous stay in the corner close to sink and it was still there until end of my stay. Clearly the bathroom was being selectively cleaned *not all area/thoroughly. We got room only (no breakfast) but tried the breakfast once by purchasing the bfast voucher. We did not come back for the 2nd time. The selection was not great and there was not many seat to accommodate all guests

We stayed at Sutasoma Hotel from 15 - 22 March 2023 in room 525. We absolutely loved our stay. We arrived before check-in time so we were given welcome drinks in the restaurant whilst they prepared a room for us. By 11am, we were assigned room 525. The room looked out onto The Tribrata Darmawangsa and The Opus Grand Ballroom, which are beautiful buildings in their own right (we were also very lucky to see a couple of special weddings which had a visit of the President to one of them). Our room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were great. The room is on the opposite side to a local mosque, so it shielded us from the call to prayer (you could still hear it but it was negligible). The hotel is about 300m from Blok A MRT station stop, which you can use to go into central Jakarta. There's a rooftop cafe across from the hotel, called Pain De Mie, but we only went there once as the breakfast buffet more than catered to our needs - highly recommend you include this option when booking a room. As part of breakfast, you can have eggs/noodles cooked to your choice, and there's pastries available. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from a lovely restaurant called the Plataron Dharmawangsa, it's a must visit - the decor/ambience is gorgeous and the food delicious. I digress, getting back to the hotel. The staff were amazing and always on hand to offer assistance to make our stay a wonderful experience. Be sure to install the Grab app as it's the primary way to get around Jakarta, and if you're a foreigner, the cost is minimal - had to get used to the conversion rate. Take a look at the photos I've included. When staying at Sutasoma, you feel like living in a lap of luxury.

We like everything about Sutasoma, from the friendly staffs who welcomed us very warmly, the tasty foods at the restaurant we enjoyed so much the Indonesian cuisine presented very well. Breakfast with authentic gado-gado "cobekan" maker which served freshly every morning. One room we requested for my mother in law's birthday suprise. They did it awesomely too! The room interior is very nice mixed classic and modern, feels like home. We definitely come back to stay at Sutasoma when we visit Jakarta again.

Aircon is abit too cold, but we can overcome it.

The kindness of the hotel staff was second to none. They made me feel very welcome, were so polite and went out of their way to assist at every turn. Every interaction was very pleasant. The breakfast was very good and the coffee, excellent. The breakfast was also available from 6.30am which was great for early risers. The close proximity to the MRT made everything very easy when trying to get into the city. Comfortable bed, good shower…overall a very pleasant stay indeed and I look forward to returning to Sutasoma in the future. Excellent value for money.

I love that the hotel has a fantastic WhatsApp hotline so it was easy to keep in touch with the hotel. I could even ask questions about traveling around Jakarta and such. The hotel was very accommodating! They prepared a translated Quran and clean prayer garment as requested before my arrival. Other than that, their breakfast was amazing! I love that they had various options of coffee. The setting of the restaurant was modern and pleasant. The only downside that I can think of is that not many taxi drivers recognize the hotel. Overall, I had a fabulous stay at the hotel and I would not hesitate to book again in the future!
