We had the most beautiful stay here! We stayed for 3 nights & most importantly before we did the Mt Batur hike. 30mins away from trail start. Hotel staff greeted us with a welcome drink which was so beautiful. We were so well looked after. They also helped us arrange transport for our day trips to Ubud (1 hour away), Mt Batur & helped arrange local laundry. We availed of the spa & had a couple massage which was beautiful. We got afternoon coffee and a snack which was a complimentary service. The room and views are breathtaking. We woke for the Dawn chorus at 5:30am.. the sounds are blissful. We ate here each night - food and drink were delicious. A perfect place to stay in the very quiet part of Bali - a perfect place if that’s what you need in between a busy travel time.

Nothing at all. Bar & restaurant finish around 8pm as it is a quiet place unlike the rest of Bali so just keep this in mind.

Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Grounds well kept and loved the overall wooden style of the rooms and the main buildings. Food at the Tree Top restaurant was delicious with a good variety on the menu. Nice touches by the hotel, like providing a welcome drink, giving the guests a thorough introduction to the hotel by the staff, offering a "hot bag" before bed (goodness knows why, especially with a massively thick doona on the bed), and placing a few free items in the minibar.

Wish they had a little outdoor pool instead of a fish pond, but this is just nit picking. Most of the locals think it's freezing when it's 27 deg in the middle of the day, but I certainly didn't.

I arrived to Tira Vilagna on the day Bali was hit by mayor cyclone (big storm) and was pleasantly surpriced by how well, these wooden houses isolate the stormy weather outside and inside remain being a cozy, peaceful oasis. So despite the strong wind and heavy rain I enjoyed my holiday, as I had a restorative sleep every night (thanks to the cooler temperature of Kintamani and nice hot water bottle provided by accomodation warming my feet), enjoyed the lovely meals in the restaurant and even got in some exercise, while walking up and down the stairs between my room and the restaurant. The rooms are also very spaceous, so there is no excuse, not to do your morning stretch or yoga session.

We stayed at Tira Vilagna for 4 nights at the end of November. We started a Mt Batur hike from this hotel (the extra sleep and shorter drive to the starting point was very nice) and spent the rest of the time relaxing and enjoying the spa and the general ambience. This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Cool and misty and such a gorgeous design - it genuinely lived up to the promo photos. Staff were amazing, very helpful and kind throughout our 4 night stay - we felt very indulged! They even brought a birthday treat to our room for my partner, which was just lovely. The Spa was great and it was such a treat settling down in the cosy surrounds with the daily afternoon tea.

The main downside was the relatively isolated location. We were able to get a Gojek to some of the nearby cafes with amazing views, but needed to hire a driver to go further afield for a cooking class. The front desk staff were very helpful with this :) The other thing is that after heavy rain, we started to feel cold/damp and started to wish for a dehumidifier or heater in the room. Staff were very happy to bring extra blankets though :)

I had the most wonderful stay at this hidden gem! The hotel offers a cozy and secluded retreat, perfect for anyone looking to escape the noise of daily life. Nestled in nature, the peaceful surroundings and quiet atmosphere made it the ideal place to unwind. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully designed to create a warm and inviting space. Waking up to the sounds of nature instead of city traffic was such a refreshing experience. The photos simply don’t do this place justice—the beauty and tranquility can only be fully appreciated in person. If you’re looking for a serene getaway, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to return!

Location is stunning, wooden jogolos transported from Java dotted up the mountainside in amongst beautiful nature. Beds are very comfortable, good linens. Bathroom and toiletries great too. Upgrading to a larger room is worth it for the internal and external space and the views Restaurant is great and the staff helpful. It is much cooler than lower altitudes, you even get a hot water bottle at night. We had a small issue at check-in but it was sorted out very quickly and satisfactorily, great management team.

Nothing. Be aware though there are lots of hillside steps to rooms and within the main hotel.

Great location in a beautiful misty pine forrest + beautiful traditional joglo houses that were brought from Java create a magical vibe. Very nice food. Kind and attentive personnel. Nice areas for families with games. Hot pool. Great view from the balcony with gamelan music coming from the village in the distance in the evenings.

It’d be great to have a wardrobe / cupboard or more shelves for longer stays + longer open restaurant (though the staff always made sure to ask if we wanted to order before last order when we were on our way back from trips)

Wonderful breakfasts. Great free options to choose from. Always honored our requests. And it was delicious. The dinner options were varied and delicious. The staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They felt like family after the week! The spa treatments offered and delivered were exceptional and at a great value. We took advantage of the afternoon tea and the gorgeous yoga platform. Such a beautiful and peaceful stay. Close enough to town to walk but completely separate from it.

Internet the last few days when it got busy was sporadic.

I thought this place was magical! Each room feels like it's in a private forest. It's so quiet and respectful. We had intense feelings of peace staying here. Food and staff were wonderful. Everyone greeting with a smile. Even so far as remembering our two year olds name. We didn't use the yoga facilities but still felt as though we were utilizing the purpose of the hotel still. The open shower was great for our child and not having a tv was exactly what we needed. The place is incredibly mindful.

I can't really say much here, though there was some kind of construction at times which was not so peaceful. But, we understood maintenance is required to keep the place beautiful.

Room and bathroom is super clean (this is a very important point for me). We chose the superior king room which was very spacious for us. They also have a turndown service where they sent hot water bottles to warm up your bed. It was chilly at night, temperature at night was 17 deg c. Everyone we met in the villa is warm and friendly. The whole area is very very quiet and serene too. I didn’t regret choosing this place.

The rooms are located on slopes, obviously. Mine was quite a walk up back to the carpark/lobby. I am not sure if there are wheelchair friendly rooms available as the only lift they have is from the lobby to the restaurant which was 2 floors down. I wouldn’t say I do not like this about the property but it is not for everyone who doesn’t like to walk up the steps. Also, this property is not facing sunrise. We booked a driver to drive us to the nearest cafe for sunrise which was 5 min away. You’d be surprise with the number of people already at the cafe at 5.30am!
