We had the most beautiful stay here! We stayed for 3 nights & most importantly before we did the Mt Batur hike. 30mins away from trail start. Hotel staff greeted us with a welcome drink which was so beautiful. We were so well looked after. They also helped us arrange transport for our day trips to Ubud (1 hour away), Mt Batur & helped arrange local laundry. We availed of the spa & had a couple massage which was beautiful. We got afternoon coffee and a snack which was a complimentary service. The room and views are breathtaking. We woke for the Dawn chorus at 5:30am.. the sounds are blissful. We ate here each night - food and drink were delicious. A perfect place to stay in the very quiet part of Bali - a perfect place if that’s what you need in between a busy travel time.

Nothing at all. Bar & restaurant finish around 8pm as it is a quiet place unlike the rest of Bali so just keep this in mind.

Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Grounds well kept and loved the overall wooden style of the rooms and the main buildings. Food at the Tree Top restaurant was delicious with a good variety on the menu. Nice touches by the hotel, like providing a welcome drink, giving the guests a thorough introduction to the hotel by the staff, offering a "hot bag" before bed (goodness knows why, especially with a massively thick doona on the bed), and placing a few free items in the minibar.

Wish they had a little outdoor pool instead of a fish pond, but this is just nit picking. Most of the locals think it's freezing when it's 27 deg in the middle of the day, but I certainly didn't.

The accommodation was stunning set in the forest and in very unique style - showers overlooking the forest provided a fantastic backdrop . A place to rest and enjoy nature. Also provided a great spot to set off to do our sunrise hike of Mt Batur which was memorable and then stop at the amazing coffee shops like paper hills on the way back . The staff were very friendly and helpful . The spa was lovely.

Restaurant was a little expensive at night but food was of good standard and breakfast included was good with lots of choice. The location was a little isolated and it wasn’t an area that was easy to walk to other places due to it being isolated and lots of dogs but we were able to organise taxis relatively easy Dogs barking in night took away from the peaceful atmosphere

It is stunning - The location and views over the mountains, the buildings and rooms. Beds very comfortable, pillow selection amazing. Hot water bottles provided at turn down service! (Although being from England we thought still warm!!!) staff were all soo lovely and helpful and smiley. The restaurant had an extensive menu, great for all ages, east meets west. Food was really delicious. Laundry services and drivers were sorted by front desk which was great. Sitting around the carp pond with a drink was soo peaceful. Great location for hot springs and doing sunrise treks up Batur.

There were a few cleanliness issues, which were dealt with quickly but was a shame. The shower head was filthy like it hadn’t been scrubbed in a long time, it was replaced with another one when mentioned but off putting. Also the stoppers in the filtered water bottles provided were all mouldy in 4 provided in my room and our children’s room. Rooms also smelt s little musty and our room had a slight sewerage/drain smell in the porch area. All minor issues and for the price wouldn’t complain but did take edge off a little.

Top notch service from the staff members! They were attentive and ensured all my needs were met. As it can get quite cold up in the mountains, the staff member provided me with a blanket while at the restaurant and they also tucked hot water bottles under the sheets for the night. When it got too hot, they offered to bring in a fan. One of the staff saw me getting annoyed at the flies while having a meal and brought in a fly fan repellant. The property surroundings are quiet and tranquil, perfect for those who are looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature.

Limited public ride hailing service available. They provide taxi service at a fixed price which can be quite pricey if you’re only travelling 5 mins away

Very nice hotel despite being located in not so beautiful town of Kintamani! The staff was extremely helpful. Food was nice although not an abundance of choice. Also Kintamani is much higher up and hence colder than most of Bali. We were not fully prepared for this but hotel staff lent us blankets to take with us to see the sunset early in the morning.

Massage in the spa facilities was very good - however treatments rooms are only separated by a curtain which made it hard to relax while hearing other people talk loudly and kids screaming. Bear in mind: the hotel is located on the hill with rooms spread over multiple levels which was quite a bit of stairs to take - if you need more accessible rooms, better check with the hotel.

The hotel is up on the crater of Batur caldera, but set in pine forest looking towards Ubud. The hotel is beautifully designed, incorporating a lot of wood and interesting architecture as well as traditional joglos. The rooms are fantastic and beautifully designed, with a huge double bed and a wonderful bathroom. The food in the restaurant was very high quality and well-priced, and the bar was very cool for pre- or post-dinner drinks. We will definitely visit again.

It could do with a swimming pool, even a small one, but there is an area to sit outside with a pond and pool bar.

I arrived to Tira Vilagna on the day Bali was hit by mayor cyclone (big storm) and was pleasantly surpriced by how well, these wooden houses isolate the stormy weather outside and inside remain being a cozy, peaceful oasis. So despite the strong wind and heavy rain I enjoyed my holiday, as I had a restorative sleep every night (thanks to the cooler temperature of Kintamani and nice hot water bottle provided by accomodation warming my feet), enjoyed the lovely meals in the restaurant and even got in some exercise, while walking up and down the stairs between my room and the restaurant. The rooms are also very spaceous, so there is no excuse, not to do your morning stretch or yoga session.

Excellent Service,Disappointing Spa Experience Our stay was truly wonderful, with everything being perfect. The receptionists, Anik and Dian, were more than amazing, and all the staff were incredibly helpful and ready to assist us.

The only disappointing experience at this hotel was the spa. While the Balinese massage was decent (7/10), the honey facial was frankly horrible. It was nothing like a typical facial—just a wash with water, honey applied by hand, and cucumber. I honestly could have done a better job at home. The facial gets a 2/10 from me.

I had the most wonderful stay at this hidden gem! The hotel offers a cozy and secluded retreat, perfect for anyone looking to escape the noise of daily life. Nestled in nature, the peaceful surroundings and quiet atmosphere made it the ideal place to unwind. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully designed to create a warm and inviting space. Waking up to the sounds of nature instead of city traffic was such a refreshing experience. The photos simply don’t do this place justice—the beauty and tranquility can only be fully appreciated in person. If you’re looking for a serene getaway, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to return!
