Amazing view with mountains ,catch the sunrise And when u lucky u got the fog underneath but that’s not all the time ,sunset not gonna get it ,breakfast are delicious great coffee u got option of vegan milk if u have lactose intolerance, hotel design is amazing except the door ,love the live band they did on weekend lovely rooftop and nice lovely fireplace seats while enjoying the view

The door of the rooms side way making hard to closed open and locked it ,and gap from door that not fully closed makes wind trap in between cause whistle sound inside room , no tv .

Spent two nights at Desa Oculus with my friends, and honestly, it was amazing! From the moment we arrived, the place just had this perfect mix of relaxation and style. The design is stunning, the vibe is peaceful, and everything just feels well thought out. There were a couple of tiny things that could be improved — but what really stood out was how the staff genuinely cared. They listened, took feedback seriously, and made sure we had the best experience. I absolutely loved it here and already know I’ll be back a few more times. I’ve been telling all my friends about this place, and I can’t wait to return.

What a beautiful designed hotel in and out. What a view you get at the breakfast area it’s absolutely incredible. The terras is neat! The breakfast is a la carte but delicious! The rooms was nice and spacious with a nice view on the lake. There is no airco but you will not need it since it’s cooler in the mountains. There is a nice fan though. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. But what we enjoyed the most is our morning talks with Yoga, the guy from the breakfast. What a sweet soul, what a nice guy. Such a friend! We wish the best for him and may we meet again!

What I was missing in the room was a fridge. Sometimes you like to keep something cool. Or maybe for medication. For me it’s a no go. We ordered room service. Chicken satay. In total 4 dishes for 2 people, when they brought it in they put it on the desk but there is only one chair .. so that was odd since we are two people. The food wa very very spicy. Also they asked us to put the food oustide next to our door when finished but i thought that was a little bit nasty and not classy. There are two swimming pools on the roof but they are just small build ponds , not deep.

This hotel was exactly as pictured, I mainly booked for the views but the room was amazing. I booked the panoramic room and it was perfect. The breakfast was really good and quite filling and the food at the restaurant for dinner was A+ I would definitely stay here again (when the weather is a little nicer). Plenty to do around kintamani, I stayed two nights and would highly recommend. Also it is quite cool so the fan was more than enough to circulate the air etc.

It was a little bit noisy from the main road, but the hotel provides earplugs :) I’ve also seen some comments about flys - but really isn’t too bad at all (especially if you are from Australia, where it’s a lot worse during summer)

The view of the hotel was spectacular overlooking Mount Batur. The staff were very friendly, informative and very helpful where they helped arrange for our transportation around kintamani. We also love the breakfast options (plus point for muslim friendly menu), although not a wide range, but it was all great!

Since the room and the toilet is in one space (open concept), there was a bit of an unpleasent smell coming from the drain system within the room. It gets stronger during the day when its abit warm in the room, especially when there is no ac in the room. Other than that, everything else was great!

The two best things about Desa Oculus are the views and the staff. The views are even better in person - absolutely breathtaking! THERE IS NO AIRCON BUT ITS NOT NEEDED!!!! We stayed in early November - the way the room is built + an excellent fan actually keeps the room very cool. The staff are just delightful - and there is a day club attached to the hotel too which means honestly you don’t really need to go anywhere. Room service is quick and delicious too.

You need to have preorganised transport here OR be able to ride a motorbike. It’s difficult to get around otherwise - vertically not impossible (hotel can help find driver very easily) but would be easier if you can use motorbike.

The place is absolutely stunning, food is incredible, staff couldn't be more helpful and the views couldn't be better. This is the perfect place to stay in Kintamani. I went solo but the place would be incredible for couples, the rooms are a great size, gorgeous bath and shower in the room. Huge balcony with panoramic views, comfortable bed, free coffee, tea, fruit and biscuits in the room. The breakfast included is great: fruit plate plus a choice of great cooked options and a drink of your choice. I had two X two course dinners, cocktails, a beautiful 2 hour spa treatment and room service and still only spent around £100. The roof top pools are beautiful and it's easy to get mount Batur and all the local sites. It feels really high end but doesn't cost a fortune, honestly couldn't recommend it enough.

One tiny thing-the door to the room was very loud, I felt bad when sneaking out for my 3am hike! Otherwise perfect.

This is the best hotel in the area. The staff are extremely accommodating and go above and beyond to make guests happy. The food is of great quality. The rooms and the view are absolutely to die for.

The rooftop sunbeams are a little worn. The hot water in the shower/bath is capped at 80 litres. You're allowed two complimentary bottles of filtered water daily (which is not enough for any normal human who needs to stay hydrated), then you're charged per refill. Aside from that, there's nothing to complain about.

Everything looks just like the photos, the view is incredible and the energy of Oculus is amazing. It was absolutely worth the money and I really had a very chilled time, exactly what I wanted, some peace and relaxing. Great spot to unwind and stare at nature. The staff were great! The building is really contemporary and does not intrude on nature, it flows with it. It’s great to see less cliche stays in Bali like Oculus. The staff were extremely responsive over WhatsApp and I think it is such a better idea than having old fashioned phones in the room. At the end of my stay, all the staff knew my name and my drink of choice. Felt so personalized- it was just lovely. I will visit again, for sure.

I loved everything. If I could say what could be improved it would be the menu options and food. The spa was good and the treatment was nice however compared to the rest of the hotel it also feels like it could be improved.

I love the vibe and style of the property. Stunning views of Mt. Batur and Lake Batur (when the clouds clear). We stayed just one night to do the Sunrise hike on Mt. Batur and it was prime location. Only 20 mins to the drop off point from hotel. Staff was very accommodating and welcoming. Overall was very practical for what we needed.

Not super vegan/végétarien friendly but a few options available. Luckily we eat fish and it was actually really good. No AC but not really needed as you are in the mountains plus you have a fan you can use if needed. You have limited hot water in the room but as we were two people and stayed on night. It was plenty for us. Just to be aware of that.
