If you wish to experience the more original Bali (not the yoga, surf, and hippster place), Astana Swaha is your place. The owner and family were extremly helpful and mindful, and gave a lot to make my stay very pleasant. Thanks to all of you. PS: Having breakfast, you wont have a better view of the djungle anywhere else, promise :)

Gorgeous property set in the middle of the jungle with amazing views. The staff were so lovely and attentive, always made sure we were well looked after and had everything we need. The room was beautiful and had a balcony overlooking the jungle which was perfect. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. The food was delicious and prepared fresh by the family. My partner was poorly when we arrived (Bali belly) and the staff we always asking if he was okay and if he needed anything which was very sweet. Would recommend this place if you are staying in the sideman area.

The room was spacious, but ours was a bit hard to reach (with luggage) due to some steeply stairs, and had a nice green decor/view. The owners are really kind and helpful and will try to make your stay as great as possible. Breakfast is served at your room or on the terrace near the pool.

The bed is a bit hard, there is no water cooker in the room and their tea/coffee to order is a bit expensive, it is a little outside the city area where the main restaurants and hotels are, but a 30-minute will do.

Amazing location, felt like we were in the middle of the jungle but still easy to go everywhere. I walked in and not even 30 minutes later I already decided I wanted to extend my stay, fell in love with the villa at first sight. Everything was very clean and it had everything we wanted. The staff and owner were so helpful with the extra night and everything else. So peaceful and quiet, could’ve stayed here for weeks.

The property has some age but it is secluded and quiet. The rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and incredibly hot shower. The staff are just the most beautiful people and Ayu looked after us to perfection. The food was wonderful, fantastic views, clean pool and surrounding area. I can’t recommend enough.

The property was a beautiful little homestay in Sideman. It was a nice surprise driving down the hidden driveway to find the property opened up to beautiful views over the jungle. The owners were so friendly and helpful, they couldn't have looked after us better. The room was spacious and comfortable with beautiful views. The hire of a scooter during our stay was also helpful and the staff offered to drive us to dinner one night.

The air conditioning didn't work too well to cool the room down, the hot water also ran out if 2 people showered for too long but that is to be expected in a small village like this I guess.

Hotel is in a quiet location. Great for relaxing with the rainforest view. The host is very kind and accommodating. Food is very good. Also don't forget to say high to Chulu.

The hotel is a bit far from restaurants and shops, but the host can organise a driver for you. Stairs can be slippery when rain.

Very friendly staff who gave us advice on what to do and see. Huge bedroom and bathroom including fridge. Shower amenities were new and clean.

There was a cockroach in our bathroom that freaked me out but that’s what you can expect when staying somewhere surrounded by nature 😄 Also the entrance to the place itself is a bit confusing and unstable if on a motorbike but with some common sense you will get there fine.

The jungle setting with mountain views was stunning. Very nice private pool. Beautiful temple area right on the grounds. Breakfast was very good, very nice family run villa. Thank you for making our three nights stay so special Gusti and Ayu! 😊

Location in nature. Helpfull to look for transportation

Location far away has of course the consequence that everything is out of reach to do by foot. First morning they knocked on the door 15 minutes before we would have breakfast that they were waiting to serve it. Luckily it didn't happen the other days.
