The resort in the countryside of Sidemen was just WOW ! The natural beauty of the grounds is outstanding ! The restaurants menu was quite varied and the food was very good. The staff were very attentive and welcoming ! They even organized for us to go ogoh ogoh parade/festival. A one of a kind experience. Semi outdoor washroom was great as was the wonderful shower. Had two great infinity pools looking out over the countryside. The hotel is located in a quiet area of east Bali and is a must visit. Some of the staff were exceptional in their care of clients. Namely Ari /Asih/Zety and Purna. Of course others were great as well. Hope to return one day to revisit our many friends !

Lighting in the room was poor. Lighting at night to entrance of your villa is dark which makes it difficult to find keyhole. Not much else the place is really unique and near perfect .

This hotel resort is simply fantastic. It is nestled in the most beautiful area with many things to do nearby, but not very touristy. It feels like a perfect, well kept secret. The facilities are very nice, the restaurant has amazing food, and the service is top notch. The food and included breakfast were so great we never actually ate anywhere else in the area except our cooking class. We also did a romantic dinner package and we were given a private area with an amazing view and the most beautiful flower arrangement with candles. It was very special and we will never forget it. The front desk was able to help us do a last minute tour, take out bicycles, transfers to tours, and arrange airport transfer for us all on short notice. Our spa experience was also amazing - we did romance in the valley. The staff are extremely friendly and so helpful. I hope to return one day!

Out of all the places we stayed in Bali, this was our absolute favorite. Nestled right in the middle of stunning rice fields, the hotel offers a peaceful and authentic atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home. The pool is beautiful and perfect for a refreshing dip while enjoying the serene landscape. We especially appreciated the large mosquito net around the bed, which the staff prepared for us every evening – such a thoughtful detail! The restaurant was also excellent, serving delicious food with warm and attentive service. Every meal was a pleasure. A special thanks goes to Purna, who truly made our stay unforgettable. He was so kind, friendly, and attentive – we really enjoyed getting to know him and appreciated his genuine hospitality. Travel Tip: We brought some Swiss chocolate with us, and it was a big hit! The staff were genuinely happy and excited to receive it. If you’re visiting from Switzerland, don’t forget to pack a few Schoggi – they’re very much appreciated! :-) This hotel is a hidden gem, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Wow - amazing property in a beautiful location! "Dreamy" is the best way I can describe Samanvaya. It was a fabulous stay during our honeymoon. The property is super characterful and tasteful, down to the smallest of details. Our Alila Villa was perfection - gorgeous workmanship and one of the coolest places I've ever stayed (I'm a sucker for a beautiful bathroom, and this certainly fit the bill!). The views, staff, food, pools, facilities and location all earn a 10/10 from us!

It would be nice if the gym could be opened earlier in the morning. WiFi was in and out at times

Where to start! Samanvaya is truly unique and wonderful in every way. It is embedded in the idyllic rice fields with a breathtaking, calming view from the pool areas. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, stylish and decorated with love for detail. The whole Samanvaya property is very well cared for, luxurious and very clean. Every member of the staff made us feel at home and was kind, forthcoming and helpful. We had the best massages ever atAnanda Spa and the food at Asri Restaurant was absolutely delicious. Samanvaya manages perfection! We loved it and will definitely visit again. Thank you!

Sidemen is a beautifully quiet area, much needed after visiting others places on Bali with traffic jams and lots of crowds during my trip. The scenery is breathtaking and Samanvaya is the jewel in the crown of places to stay there. The food in the restaurant is amazing. I had the honey glazed salmon starter every night of my stay. Consider me addicted! Delivery to the villa was super fast too. The staff are utterly wonderful and go above and beyond to assist with everything, including excursions and drivers/scooters. As with everywhere in Bali, WhatsApp is the means of communication, and they even provide a mobile to use. I would love to re-visit when it isn't quite so rainy! Thank you to everyone who made my solo trip really wonderful.

The wifi signal was not great in my villa. My phone reverted to 4G a lot or nothing if I turned mobile data off. I would suggest some extenders perhaps. But also, being offline is also good!

Samanvaya is in Sideman, which is a slice of ‘old Bali’ perfect for experiencing what Bali was probably like at its best…..away from the ridiculous traffic and crowds now prevalent in the more popular overtouristed destinations. Staff were discreet and extremely helpful, with nothing too much trouble. Food and beverages were all top quality, and the location was stunning. Amazing infinity pools, with incredible views.

Pools would benefit from a bit more shade. Many of the sun beds were without shade for much of the time.

We had an incredible time at the beautiful resort! We absolutely loved staying at Samanvaya and also in Sidemen. This area of Bali is still very authentic and less touristy, which we loved. I highly recommend the spa — I had the best massage ever! The restaurant is also very good (more vegetarian options would be great). Breakfast is superb. The view is just amazing. But most importantly, the staff is amazing. Communication with hotel managment/Staff is via WhatsApp/iPhone in the room and they supported us greatly in all matters. You feel super welcome, and everyone is super supportive and friendly. You should note that the sanitary facilities (toilet, sink, shower) are outside. (That didn't bother us, But there are probably people who don´t like outdoor bathroom facilities.)

Only the size of our villa was a little small with little storage space for suitcases/clothes etc.

Joglo villa is overall great. Perhaps the most private, big and comparatively well protected from insects and flies. Beautiful Balinese architecture. Big bathroom. Amazing view from the wrap around balcony. Drinking Water dispenser in the room makes it very convenient. The whole property is extremely green and beautifully landscaped. Staff overall very friendly. Very peaceful, serene and relaxing. Overall, will definitely want to come back ine day..

The restaurant, as nice as it is, accepts non-hotel guests and is therefore busy and requires guests to book much in advance. Private plunge pool but the water a little too cold. No TV or speaker in the Villa, when asked were told that they want us to listen to the sounds of nature that's why...So keep this in mind if this matters to you. Food portions a little small.

Stunning location, absolutely beautiful resort, every corner you turn has a wow factor. Interior & exterior decorating superb. We highly recommend the Joglo for absolute privacy. Coffee was very high quality in particular at their cafe Citrus & Vine The staff were very engaging, kind and caring and catering for your every need(faultless) in particular Diah

I have difficulty in saying this as the rest of the resort was so amazing but was extremely disappointed in the food only in Asri Dining. Breakfast was good, expresso’s perfect. However found it difficult to choose something off the menu and they have weird food combinations that did not work. My partner and I really like authentic Indonesian food when in Bali, they had these options which were very bland in flavour.(the kitchen did attempt to try and make it more authentic). This however was not the issue, we eat anything with basically no restrictions We had to resort to eating out a lot as did many of the other guests we met. So disappointing for a high end resort and the promoting they do for Asri in particular .
