The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very well equipped with toiletries etc. The Wi-fi was excellent. It was quiet and we slept well.

The chair in our room was very dirty. Our room card keys stopped working from time to time. Our laundry was not collected on one morning despite asking the front desk to collect it. We asked for an extra bed, and it was not delivered to our room. We had to chase it up. The staff have to pay a little more attention to guest requests.

Comfortable room in the middle of Kupang with wonderful view of ocean and sunset. Staff are very friendly.

The restaurant on the top floor plays the music so loud that you can’t actually eat there. I’ve never experienced this anywhere else but numerous people waiting out on the balcony asked if the music could be turned down and they said no. You had to yell at each other to have a conversation. The guests were standing there with hands over there ears. Nobody was in there eating at all. We all went across the road to eat. Request to stay on the lower floors as the music thumps through the floors below the restaurant.

Upon entering the room, it smelled of smoke, even though it said no smoking was allowed in the room. On the Booking.com map, the hotel was located by the beachfront, but it was located on the other side of the road. So the sea view rooms are on a busy street.

First of all the welcoming , smiling and helpful staff makes you feel appreciated. The building is nice, clean and well decorated. It is a gem among other places around having a look and layout that is topical of international hotels. The room was clean and beautiful with amazing views to the ocean and the market down across the road. Wry comfortable bed and a good selection of tv channels. Room service is fast and they have a good selection of food in the menu. The top floor sky lounge is very nice and also is the gym and swimming pool which I am very pleased it didn’t smell like chlorine like most swimming pools. The spa is beautiful and they are very professional. I couldn’t get the massage I wanted because we booked only 2 days before our stay. I recommend booking your treatment with plenty of time in advance.

Some parts of the building are a bit run down and would need a bit of renovation. I understand is a hard weather for buildings but having a clean tidy look makes the place more comfortable. Also I didn’t like that the mosque is only a few blocks away and you get wakes up by the prayers . Is not a big deal but my sleep would have been 100% good if it wasn’t just for that. But again, is something I respect and tolerate as it is.

The location, view from the room and cleanliness were great. The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to accommodate my food allergy and anything else we needed. Gym was great

The pool was fine, but the area around it could be made more inviting. It needs lots of plants to hide the ugly building next door. Shame the pool isn't on the ocean side of the building. Everything else about the hotel was great though.

The hotel was in a convenient area where we could find good local restaurants and was beachfront. We drove around Kupang and from all the major hotels, this one seemed to have the newest amenities and best view.

We really did not like the food. The temperature or the way in which they keep the food at the buffets may be a bit problematic for westerners. There was a bit of mildew in the bathroom.

From the first moment the friendliness and politeness of the staff was exemplary. The facilities and decor of the Aston were of a modern and quality finish, particularly for this region. The view from the rooftop of the sea and the city is fantastic. The Breakfast😍 was excellent, with a wide range of food and very attentive service. I must make a special mention, a Thank You, to Henny, whose service at the Lobby and Breakfast front desk was a highlight.

We had a really comfortable stay at Aston Kupang. The rooms are clean and quiet and there are all the services that you can wish for (room service including good food from the restaurant 24h, taxi transfer to the airport etc). The breakfast buffet is huge and delicious. A smaller selection is even available at 4 in the morning. We would come back if we come to Kupang again.

The Staff is the #1 best thing about the Aston! Also, room comfort and hotel location, worth getting a deluxe room for most amazing ocean views. This hotel is good value for the money.

A little attention needed...windows and surfaces are filthy, looking out at ocean view and theres smudges from noses, hands, ect.. all over the window surface, its unsanitary, also elevator hall windows, same. cleaning staff needs put more effort into it. maintanance...mini fridge always an issue. 3 changes finally got a working 1. Wifi struggles in my room...I had to use my own as too sporadic and slow pretty much unuseable. common areas around hotel ok.

Lovely hotel and very clean and comfy rooms. Great variety for breakfast.

We had issues with loud music coming from nearby (could not tell if it was from inside or outside the hotel) during the day and night which made it really hard to sleep. I called reception several times but they were not very receptive and did not get back to me which was disappointing.
