The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The food is great - just a shame the beach bar closed for renovations so we were only able to enjoy 2 beachfront sunset dinners there during our stay.

We were disappointed the air-conditioning in the living room and kitchen was not working. We booked the bigger villa with the private pool so we would have more space however we had to spend the majority of time in the bedroom because it was too hot in the living room to even enjoy our meals there. The villa is looking a little tired - light globes in the garden and pool were out.... which impacted the ambiance in and around the pool. We were also disappointed that the Beach restaurant/bar closed for renovations 2 days after we arrived - it was one of the main reasons we booked at this location.

The staff were lovely, very accomodating. I felt bad ordering room service one evening because after I orders, it began to rain heavily, the staff who delivered the food was soaking wet but still had a friendly smile. Room is cute, clean. Outdoor bathroom is good, you will literally be having a shower in the rain but it was fun. The only suggestion for improvement is minor, the key ring attached to the room key is big..something smaller would be more practical. The location is in the quiet side of the island but the beach club is 2 minutes walk away & it is really nice sitting there looking out at the ocean. You can’t swim at the beach because the waves are rough but the pool is right there.

Beautiful and well appointed room, with a very large and comfy bed. The staff was super nice and helpful, they helped us book a brilliant private snorkeling experience, gave us recommendations of boats and everything else. I also booked a massage with Ria, that turned out to be the best massage I ever had! The hotel also has two pools, one in the main area, and a second one in their restaurant by the pool (few steps down the road). Food there is also great!

Nothing really, everything was great!

We had an exceptional stay at The Shacks. The rooms are really lovely and the beds are so comfortable. We also loved the outdoor bathroom - everything was kept immaculately clean. The breakfast spread was amazing and the food at the beach club next door also so delicious. The staff are what made our stay so amazing, my sister and I both fell ill for different reasons and they went above and beyond to look after us. Iluh and her team are truly the most kind and genuinely caring people I have ever met and we wished our stay could have been longer!

Great position on the west end of the island, beautifully laid out and private and chilled We stayed in the 1 bedroom pool villa, loved it as was completely private Staff were extremely helpful and friendly Super close to sandy bay beach club ( a few steps ) so you can enjoy a cocktail and dinner, lunch or lie on the day beds and drink juices all day. Very close to devils tear and dream beach. Lots of little restaurants close by (especially try tropical juice corner and food, really good) Lovely breakfast served here too or you can choose from the sandy bay menu as extra

The staff and service is exeptional. They treated us so nice, they are really 10/10. I give an 8 because of them. :) Breakfast was really great. Location is good, close to the beach. Bed was comfy.

There is no mosquito net, and there are a lot of insects. There was no hot water and after a while water pressure just disappeared. It has an open bathroom that was a bit uncomfortable during the night because of lack of hot water and insects. It was quite overpriced, the cabana was not exceptional at all, it is just like any other on the island.

The Breakfast was amazing. We loved the healthy breakfast "included" options, but also loved the pay extra choices that were on offer. Sat every morning upstairs overlooking the pool & trees Loved the room, and the garden. The Shack as the are called, extremely clean and comfortable bed. The Shutters on the windows were so cute, felt like we were in Greece! Staff were so helpful and so quick to clean the rooms. Loved the outdoor shower, once i got over the first few times, very exposed but liberating. Not for everyone.

We really felt the rooms were too dark, even with the small windows open not much light. Also really missed having a TV in the room as not something we checked and probably wouldn't have stayed here if we knew that. And yes is not major problem but when your staying for 6+ nights and been out all day nice to come back jump into bed and watch a movie etc. The location is so relaxing & quiet, which is what we loved about this area, but you really need a bike license to get around the island properly to explore and go out to dinner, as only Sandy Bay Beach Resort is close for eating ( which is great) but is nice to try other great restaurants in Mushroom Bay & main strip. Taxi trucks are not always in this area, and it's not walkable to the main town/beach strip.

We absolutely loved the private villa with its own pool.. villa is beautifully decorated in a lovely secluded position. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful . The staff were absolutely wonderful in making our holiday memorable. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary during our stay and the staff from morning til evening made the day unforgettable with cake for breakfast , gorgeously decorated bed with flowers and cake again at dinner wonderful place to stay.

Absolutely nothing to detract from our stay but the bathroom needs a little work. 👍

This place is really really nice! We’ve stayed 2 nights but would’ve loved to stay longer. The staff is really helpful and the shacks are comfortable and nice. There’s breakfast included with a choice of Indonesian or bread (+ yoghurt, fruit, a juice and coffee or tea). They own a beachclub just 1 minute walk from the hotel which was amazing and there’s a pool as well. They also offer yoga, a spa and room service. This was the perfect island weekend getaway for us!

The hot shower kept getting cold

This place is an absolute bliss! The style of the wooden huts - beach style, well maintained with a touch of luxury - is a perfect combination. What we like in particular are all the little details. Cute decoration without being overloaded, large beds, extra blanket no problem, water cooker in the room and exceptionally good coffee. After our morning shower right under the sky, we enjoyed breakfast on our own porch. Very important also to mention was the staff - cheerful and welcoming and helpful. Thank you guys, you are awesome 🙏

The wooden shacks look cool and provide a really homy feeling. But at night, there is quite a bit of light entering through the gaps and especially the gaps in the window shutters. Sounds from the neighbors (walking by, using the window shutters etc) are also way more audible than in a brick house. Just saying...
