I absolutely loved the layout of the villa 7, with the lounge/dinning area seperate to the bedroom, a smart TV and fantastic Internet so we really enjoyed the days we had to stay inside due to the rain. The niceness of the staff always willing to help and even clean our room when we went out for dinner I loved that they always delivered breakfast to our Villa and there is power points in all rooms,

Unfortunately it is the season for mosquitos and even though Canvas Escape Resort used Fogging to kill them they still managed to bite me everytime I stepped outside without wearing repellant. We were close to the road so you hear the noisy scooters but that reduces towards the end of the night.

Lovely comfortable room in beautiful gardens. The beds are huge and super comfy, although the partially outside bathroom can be an issue, although not for us. Wi-Fi was good and a large tv with Netflix and Prime was a bonus as the weather wasn’t great. Breakfast had the usual choices for Bali and was well cooked, served to your room. The lunch menu had a varied choice, reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is a small property so wasn’t busy, for us it was a place to unwind and that’s exactly what we did!

Quite a distance to Ubud, so transport is needed. There’s options available and the staff are able to organise this. The surrounding area is a village, with no public transport.

Absolutely beautiful, complete zen from check in to check out. Staff was so friendly and helpful, anything you needed they were there to help make sure your stay was perfect. The moment you show up you’re greeted by their friendly staff, they carried our luggage to the room and ensured we had everything needed for a comfortable relaxing stay. The rooms are a good size, very clean, and well maintained. Our room had a private patio and staff delivered breakfast of our choosing straight to the room. Book a massage, you won’t regret it! We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was exactly the relaxing getaway we needed. Looking forward to coming back.

The only regrets we had was not booking more nights

Staff were helpful even before I arrived at the resort. They responded to emails quickly answering questions and providing information. When I arrived staff exceeded my expectations and made me feel very welome. My villa was comfortable and a good size with everything I needed. Using Whatsapp to contact the reception desk was a nice and convenient touch and made ordering meals very easy. The food was tasty, and potions were generous. The spa on site and swimming pool brings it all together very nicely. Just a short drive to Ubud market so if you can tear yourself away from this resort everything else is quite close.

I would suggest some refubishing of the bathroom area, nothing major, but the shower/toilet area were there only areas that could do with some attention in my opinion. A little more information on what to expect/wear/bring when booking tours at reception would have been helpful. Dark wood villa's are very dark and could do with some additional lighting

Canvas Escape is located in a quieter section of Ubud, about 10-15min to the city centre. It was nice to be able to go and do tours and come back to a quiet environment, with lovely and accomodating staff, and a comfortable room. Breakfast was lovely - lots of options. Highly recommend, really good price for what you get, just be mindful it is a little out of the city centre, if this isn’t something that bothers you.

The pool was questionable, although even in the photos upon booking accommodation it looked interesting. I would not reccomend swimming in it as it did not look like the water was safe to swim in. However, in saying this, I did not book this accomodation for the pool. I booked it for the beautiful room and property.

Fantastic place to rest in south Ubud. The team is great and very helpful, thank you 🙏 With a scooter, central Ubud is only 20 min away. The villa and the garden are very clean and confortable, we spent 5 very. Ice days here!!

Breakfast very good but to order one day before for a fixed hour (and you want one more toast, you pay for it)

Traditional cottage house with interesting ceiling. Big bath tub. Dining table in living room. Netflix provided. Staff were pleasant to communicate and responsive. Room is provided with 5 stars toiletries and robe. Comfortable sofabed for watching TV

Main problem is the hot water is not enough for use of 2 people without waiting awhile for the tank to heat up. bad sound insulation on the house, able to hear chatters from neighbour. Pool size is small.

It was very quiet, the garden was amazing. The place was spotless and the staff there were so accommodating and friendly. The highlight was the outdoor tub, from where you could see the stars

Such friendly and welcoming staff! I really liked the location as it’s away from the madness of central Ubud but only a ten minute scooter ride away. You do still hear some road noise at night and are next to a temple so there are musical instruments playing at various times of the day although I quite liked this. The cabins are really dark, everything is dark brown.

Bathroom needs a bit of maintenance as the shower squirts out sideways meaning toilet area all got covered in water.
