The tranquility of this hotel is truly captivating—an oasis of peace and beauty. The management and staff go above and beyond to ensure every moment of my stay is memorable. In particular, the manager, Dewa, often goes out of his way to make guests feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Their attention to detail and heartfelt hospitality elevate the entire guest experience to a whole new level. Conveniently located near Ubud city center, the hotel also offers complimentary shuttle service, making it easy to explore the vibrant heart of the city while enjoying a serene retreat

The staff are very friendly. The breakfast is divine! The room is spacious, luxury and clean. The massage at their wellness centre was one of the best we had received in a very long time. The a-la-carte breakfast was sumptuous and very delicious.

The property is about 20 minutes away from Ubud centre on a good day but can take up to 45 minutes with traffic. The surrounding area does not have many eatery except for the resort's restaurant. However Grab Eat is an option and the resort does offer free shuttle (not too regular though).

The staff literally made us feel so welcomed and honored for us to be staying with them. The customer service was so positive it did set a new benchmark for us.

It’s normal in Bali that pools are not heated, but it was the only issue.

A fantastic place to relax , a bit hidden in the green just outside Ubud with great facilities: two swimming pools, spa, gym, yoga, massage,…. High quality restaurant with ample choice: Balinese, Vietnamese, Thai, ….. and even Western dishes. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had a villa-appartement with private pool/jacuzzi. The staff is extremely friendly and go the extra mile continuously with attention to every detail. This can-do mentality, always with a smile is so inspiring. Thank you Alena Resort for a fantastic experience.

Stunning resort so relaxing beautiful atmosphere and such friendly staff. Perfect place to relax unwind and dock up the sun. Spa was amazing too with excellent Balinese massage.

We stayed 9 nights at this lovely hotel. We travel frequently throughout Asia, and this was our second visit to Bali. We appreciate a touch of luxury, inspiring surroundings, and warm, genuinely authentic people. The resort is ideal for travelers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Ubud. But at the same time, the hotel is an excellent base for exploring the island. We enjoyed the excellent wellness facilities, the delicious and varied cuisine (including a very extensive à la carte breakfast... we're not fond of buffets), the charming suite we stayed in, but above all, the exceptionally attentive staff. They strive for personalized service while remaining discreet and respectful. No request was too much for this young team.

Dining at the resort's restaurant was a daily delight. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with a menu that blended local flavors with international favorites. Breakfast was generous and varied, with the option to enjoy it poolside or in your room. But what truly sets The Alena Resort apart is the people. Every interaction—from the front desk to the drivers, the restaurant staff, and the housekeeping team—was warm, gracious, and infused with a spirit of hospitality that felt genuine and from the heart. We left The Alena Resort feeling deeply refreshed and emotionally connected to the place. It’s not just a hotel—it’s an experience. One I will remember always, and one I would recommend to anyone visiting Bali.
