A fantastic place to relax , a bit hidden in the green just outside Ubud with great facilities: two swimming pools, spa, gym, yoga, massage,…. High quality restaurant with ample choice: Balinese, Vietnamese, Thai, ….. and even Western dishes. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had a villa-appartement with private pool/jacuzzi. The staff is extremely friendly and go the extra mile continuously with attention to every detail. This can-do mentality, always with a smile is so inspiring. Thank you Alena Resort for a fantastic experience.

The staff,property, accommodations and overall experience. Standout staff, Dewi (restaurant and pool bar) she was a pleasure, a bright smile accommodating and knowledgeable. I must commend Resort manager Indira on leading a great staff. Also, sheq personally signed a birthday card addressed to me, and left a nice bouquet of flowers in the room. And the staff surprised me with a birthday song at my doorstep. Dessi (front desk), was most helpful in communicating with transportation for me with Gojek. Adi and Gustu were great! The shuttle service to Ubud center was a plus and any driver transporting us was top notch and professional. Unfortunately I cannot remember my 90 minute deep tissue massage therapists name, but it was one of the best I've had, and I'm a self proclaimed, massage receiving connoisseur. She was small in stature but had mighty strong hands! I think it'd be hard to be dissatisfied with the Pramana Experience. And that's all i have to say about that....

The bumby road leading to the property (no fault of the hotels)😉 oh and the service charge on the massage was a surprise at checkout. I tipped at the end of my massage (because she was one of the best I've had). I do hope that she received at least some of that service charge.

Totally loved our room and bathroom facilities. There was some noise we could hear from above rooms through the open air section in the bathroom, but that wasn't for long. The pool outside our room was so convenient - cooler temperature that expected but very refreshing. Our beds were extremely comfortable <3, service from all staff impeccable, the restaurant had such a huge choice for all meals, especially the breakfast menu.

I was disappointed with my Day Spa experience (60min massage) - the room I had the massage in was next to the public jacuzzi, which was being used by a father & son (I think). There was NO background music for me to listen to while having my massage and all I could hear was the noise of the 2 people in the jacuzzi, which was very distracting.

We stayed in the hotel for couple of nights. We accidentally found this hotel as a replacement for.previously canceled villa. We travel a lot incl. carrabeans, Europe, Africa and Asia. We stayed in various hotels even top luxury ones. This hotel is nice, good looking, and clean - really nothing to complain about. The one thing and the reason I'm writing this review is staff. I have never seen such greatly dedicated staff! They can organize everything - just to give you an example: the pool was already closed they said if.we are silent we can still use it, and they brought us drinks and meal for the kids to the pool! The level of engagement and kindness is crazy! The other thing that is surprisingly good is restaurant - the food is delicious! The breakfast is worth every penny- just to compare the quality is somewhere close to super expensive boutique hotels in Tulum. I really recommend staying in this hotel!

The place is beautiful! The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The restaurant serves really tasty food. We booked a massage in the spa, and it was great, very relaxing. The best of everything was the staff. They are very kind and they make you feel at home. We stayed there to celebrate our honeymoon, and knowing this, the staff made the experience super special! We are very grateful to them for all the attention received! It is easy to arrive at the city center hiring a cab with grab. Also, the resort has a shuttle service that is very useful. We will come back to celebrate our 5 years anniversary.

This is our 2nd visit to Alena, hospitality is at the best. It feels like home away from home. The resort is nestled in beautiful lush greenery, so highly recommended for relaxation and peace. The breakfast is delicious as always (they have expanded their menu from the last time we visited) they do have vegetarian options as well, they have started complimentary afternoon tea recently. we tried it twice and each time had delicious balinese snacks with the tea. We also tried the spa, both massage therapist were highly professional. so do try out the spa! Alena provides shuttle service to Ubud and the frequency is quite good. Overall the experience was great, Thank you Alena team for serving us the best

Beautiful and clean hotel and facilities, great location and extremely friendly, helpful and professional staff. The free shuttle into Ubud (roughly 20/30 mins away) was a bonus and they also offer a range of free activities like walks, yoga and Balinese offering making. We arranged an airport transfer and a private tour through which made our time there straightforward. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Ubud.

The staff at The Alena provided an amazing welcome. The service was thorough, and they paid detailed attention to every person. We highly appreciated the restaurant and the quality of the food. The area is elegant and calm, and everything was clean and well taken care of. Our recommendation: choose the local tours! We did a full-day tour with a local guide, Gusti – a fantastic person to guide you through the life and culture of Bali, of which he has excellent knowledge.

Breakfast is exceptional, Pool is great, rooms are amazing as well. The landscaping of this place is amazing and is perfect for a romantic getaway with your partner.

The SPA + lunch/dinner can be slightly improved when it comes to massage or the taste. The service here more than compensates for the minor correction in lunch/dinner.

The Alena Resort was an amazing experience. The attention to details and the top-notch service provided by the staff were the highlights of this hotel. The ambiance of the resort was one of a tropical paradise. The food at the restaurant was very good, varied and adequate to different culinary tastes. We didn’t use the spa, but loved the pool areas and the surrounding gardens. The gym was adequate (as far as a hotel gym goes).

The resort is a 15-20 min drive from/to Ubud center, but there is a free shuttle provided and even if you need to call a Grab the cost is very affordable. The final stretch of road that leads to the hotel is bumpy though and really needs to be fixed, but that’s an issue that needs to be addressed by the local authority and is not the hotel responsibility.
