Casa Nemo is owned by an Acehnese woman who prioritizes cultivating beautiful experiences and running an ethical, eco-friendly business. The entire resort is beautifully manicured with fruit trees and flowers everywhere. Everything here is done with intention and love. The staff take great pride in their work. Aceh Heritage Village: Right when you walk in, you'll see two beautifully restored historic Acehnese houses featuring hand carved and painted decorations. This is totally unique on the island, and it's a must-see. Sometimes there are events there, so check with the resort to see about the schedule. The restaurant: The restaurant is stunning with an inviting porch that reveals the ocean and the lush landscape. The food is delightful with a mix of Indonesian and Western options. I am gluten free with a sensitive stomach. The restaurant always accommodates my dietary restrictions, and I always feel good after I eat there! If you will be staying awhile, you can even bring your own gluten free flour, and they will prepare something special for you. I love the ayam tangkap (an Acehnese specialty that you can't find many places on the island) and tom yum. The rooms: Every bungalow is done in the traditional Acehnese style with wooden carved decorations. My bungalow had a porch with a hammock which was the perfect place to relax while watching the ocean and listening to the sounds of nature. The bed was comfortable. The shower had hot water and it was easy to control the temperature, which cannot be said of many showers on the island. There was also a fridge and water dispenser in the room including hot water and china cups. The spa: I have had some of the best massages of my life at the spa here. My favorite is the Javanese. Masseuses are expertly trained and accommodating with any issues you may have. Friends of mine have had waxing done with excellent results. The beach: Great for lounging and a gentle swim.

Casa Nemo is built into a hill and has many steps to get down to the beach at the bottom. That said, if you can't do multiple flights of stairs, you can still enjoy the restaurant and spa which are located near the road. There are also bungalows closer to the road (I think you may have to go down one flight of stairs to get to the highest bungalows). One major upside to the resort being built into the hill is that you'll get an ocean view from almost every part of the resort. It truly is a paradise!

I had a truly wonderful stay at Casa Nemo Resort! The entire hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, full of lush greenery and tropical plants, creating a peaceful, paradise-like atmosphere. The view of the ocean from the resort is simply stunning — especially from my bungalow, which had a direct sea view and was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The bungalows themselves are very comfortable and offer a great sense of privacy. You really feel at home the moment you step inside. The location is ideal — just a few minutes from Kota Sabang, so it’s easy to explore the town while still enjoying a tranquil setting away from the crowds. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One highlight was how they assisted me in organizing a snorkeling trip with a local fisherman — a unique and unforgettable experience! The on-site restaurant is also excellent, with a relaxed atmosphere and a wide selection of tasty dishes and drinks. Whether you’re having breakfast or dinner, the setting is lovely. One of the best parts: direct access to the sea, where you can go snorkeling right from the resort! It’s such a special perk to have it right at your doorstep. Lastly, the transfer to the harbor was organized smoothly and on time, which made my departure stress-free. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend Casa Nemo to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful getaway on Pulau Weh!

Lovely serene location staying true to the environment to which it was created within. The staff were very friendly and helpful and their restaurant offered some really nice fresh dishes. The homemade pizza's were exceptional. We were a party of 6 from the UK, apparently they don't have very many visitors from UK as the place is relatively undiscovered.. When in your bungalow in Casa Nemo it is like being in amongst all the trees and fauna, totally private and not overlooked.

No Aircon in the bungalows. No WiFi in the bungalows. No Pool, even a plunge pool would be good. Location is very steep as on the side of hill, and pretty big hike to get down to the sea. Unfortunately access into the sea is very restrictive and dangerous as need to climb over slippery rocks, and there is no actual beach here.

The bungalows are tucked away in a beautiful garden on a hillside. Everything is very well kept . Stunning sunrise at the nice stretch of beach. Drinks and snacks at the beach bar . The restaurant offers a variety of western kitchen as well as Indonesian . All tasteful and nicely prepared. The breakfast buffet had various and healthy dishes every day. The employees are very well trained by the caring owner . Almost everyone speaks good English. I felt immediately welcomed in the casa Nemo family. Good massage in the spa . At Casa Nemo you get a lot for your money. I highly recommend this place. I already came here for the second time .

To go up and down to the beach you have to manage quite some stairs . If you have problems with your knees or a lack of breath it might be a challenge for you .

Very nice staff and overall a good standard throughout. The private beach is a definite highlight—there’s a great reef just in front, and we went snorkeling there quite often. One minor downside: the restaurant guests can be a bit much sometimes, constantly taking billions of pictures of everything. But I guess that’s just the social media tax these days—not unique to this part of Indonesia.

Some of the facilities are a bit worn out, and we were missing a small table on the terrace of our bungalow.

The sea view is superb... The price is affordable... The breakfast awesome... Nicely provided with cleaning and safety tools (including broom!!) Drinking water is provided with Galon,,, amazing!! The bed is soft and clean. Green environment... Love it so so much Aceh heritage in the front yard (Roemoh Atjeh) is so wonderful 😊

1. The stairs are not user friendly, especially if you bring your parents. Maybe you can provide chairs in every 2 Meter, so people can take a rest and enjoy the sea view for a while before they climb the stairs again 2. It will be amazing if you can provide toothbrushes in the bath amenities too. 3. Please ask the guest first whether they want to extend the stay or not before accepting other guests to stay in the same room.

Casa Nemo Beach Resort is a sanctuary in everyway you can think of! You have your privacy in your own bungalow, the different kind of people at the beach bar or the restaurant. Everything looks so beautiful and the private beach with its huge coral reef is the best snorkeling spot. All the people who work there are super friendly and remember your name and the manager is the most inspiring and heartwarming person who is always takes care of her guests. We will never forget our stay and are very thankful for this awsome time we had at Casa Nemo!

I love lush vibrant tropical gardens, gorgeous beach at the front for a quick dip or leisurely long snorkelling, all the gorgeous gracious approachable yet friendly staff, the food, the relaxing tasty breakfast with the view, the location and the rooms I was staying in. I was very privileged and lucky to experience the lovely gorgeous owners’ traditional baby showering ceremony when I was staying this time. The whole wholesome experience in the Casanemo Resort and Spa always makes me relaxed giving a much needed break from a hectic productive living.

No internet in the rooms, only in the restaurant. And apparently it will stay like this as they want people to relax.. Well, for the price you pay it should be available in the rooms. Beach in front of the hotel should be cleaned every morning, it was full of plastic and a bit disappointing.

Super happy & helpful staff. Bungalows set in gorgeous gardens & jungle. Views were amazing & good snorkelling right off the beach. Great restaurant, everything I had was delicious and excellent breakfast too. Also recommend making use of the spa service!

Bathroom was showing a bit of wear, but very clean. Also a lot of steps going down to the beach. Not really a negative as the walk through the gardens is beautiful, more mentioned as a caution as difficult if you have an injury.
