We stayed for almost a week at Villa Karingal and absolutely loved it. Tucked away on a hillside, about 10 minutes’ drive from busy Senggigi, Villa Karingal is perfect for solitude and relaxation. Gill, the owner and visionary behind the villa, is very welcoming and attentive to detail, with an impressive command of local languages, history, and attractions. Charming Nur is in charge of breakfast, cleaning, and—upon request—a soothing massage. Jai and Deni team up for security, maintenance, and tending the tranquil gardens and pool. Very easy to get Bluebird taxis to and from this pocket of paradise too. We can’t recommend Villa Karingal enough!

This place is amazing, you need to stay here! Everything is perfection! From the kind, helpful and friendly staff to the intricately designed and clean rooms. The pool is very clean too, a great temperature with an even better view! We came from the Mount Rinjani trek and this place was exactly what we needed! The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was fabulous too! The staff helped us with our laundry and always did their upmost to help us with any questions we had! A sensational place to relax and enjoy, couldn’t have asked for anything better!

Absolutely nothing!!

Villa Karingal is a Special Place. The rooms, the garden and the pool are awesome and especially the view is beautiful! Gill the owner and her staff are just great! Very sweet, helpful and we felt really welcome. You need to have a scooter to get around but that’s no problem. You can also order food which is great (try out Pasta Pojok). But also Nur makes great breakfast and lunch (no dinner). We also did our laundry which turned out to be the best laundry we had on our 6 month trip. We would for sure come again!!

This place really feels like a home away from home! The villa is beautiful with an incredible view up in the mountains. Because it’s a bit further away from Senggigi (about 10 minutes by car) it is peaceful and relaxing, but it’s still easy to get a taxi or to order food for dinner. The owner, Gil, left a lot of recommendations for Lombok that were really helpful (we can especially recommend the Cooking Class) and the staff (especially Nur) really made us feel welcome and comfortable. They seriously go above and beyond here to make this place feel like a home! Also I highly recommend their breakfast, I am still thinking about the Banana Pancake. :-)

We liked everything! If we had to make one suggestion, the shower head in our room could be updated as it leaked a bit.

Villa Karingal is just an awesome place for a beautiful stay for two. It is located on a hill, with an astonishing view over the ocean. It’s super quiet, has a great property layout and nice spots to enjoy the view and to have a meal, like in the gazebo or your own private front porch. The entire staff is just super welcoming and friendly. They always had good advice and were thinking ahead when scheduling daily activities. Gill, the host, completes this team with her expertise and well connected social network, to make the time even more memorable! We highly advise you to book here, to make your time in Senggigi better than anywhere else. Especially if you wanna have a good, homemade breakfast made by Nur, the housekeeper! PS: try the banana pancake, it’s superb!

Of course, nothings 100% perfect and surely there are minor details, like partially aged furniture, that could be improved.

Everything! Accommodation, views, pool, gorgeous staff, friendly house cats and Gill the fabulous owner. This place tucked away up on a hill was the perfect place for our Lombok getaway. Lovely modern Villas tastefully decorated set amongst a lovely garden and pool, all overlooking a valley to the ocean. Gill has created a little bit of paradise and her attention to detail is evident in the surroundings and her knowledge of the area. Not to mention the lovely Nur will cook you up a great breakfast every morning.

The fact that I had to leave.. :-)

Amazing experience we have here. Incredible facilities, infity swimming pool with chill out zone. The sunsets there are incredible. Best sunsets we had ever seen in Indonesia. Rooms are clean. Chill, relax and take it easy. The owner are so welcoming and people working there are amazing too (specially Jay). If we come back to Lombok we will not have any doubts to come back with them. Maybe Wifi could be better.

Exceptional place to relax for a few days. We booked for 4 nights but realised we could have based ourselves here to explore Lombok. The view from the terraces and the pool are wonderful. A cool sea-breeze helps with the warm days, and sunset on the roof is just marvellous. Breakfast was individually prepared from super fresh ingredients each day, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Villa Karingal has a home away from home vibe. It’s up the hill, out of the main town but everything is easily accessible by scooter or a very inexpensive taxi ride. Delivery services are also available if you don’t want to leave. We took a tour to Tetebatu which was fab, and there were many other options available as well. We also went to the Southern Beaches and the nearby Turtle Conservation. Would love to come back.

Leaving… it’s such a great place to stay.

The view from the pool was amazing! In the morning, you can watch the fishing boats go out to their fishing grounds and sail back after they were done. The villa’s location also lends itself to viewing Mt. Agung (if the weather permits), and beautiful sunsets in the evening. The property is very well maintained and contributes to a peaceful setting.

There was nothing about the property that we didn’t like.

We loved the seclusion of the place, the refreshing pool with its beautiful view, and the pretty garden. It was great to end each day with a dip in the pool and be able to sit out and enjoy the stars. Although it requires a short taxi ride out to the main street, it is easy to order food in. The rooms were comfortable. We wanted to stay in the villa all day.

A minor point that the bathroom is starting to look a little old and the shower drain takes time to clear, but it is clean and spacious and the shower itself works well.
