Around 1 hour drive from Bandar Bentan Telani ferry terminal by taxi to the hotel, located right in front of the beach. Not the beautiful resort type kind of beach, but loved the tranquility and peaceful ambience. The staffs were attentive and helpful for any enquiries. Good cafes and restaurants nearby you can enjoy during the stay. Too bad I couldn't stay for breakfast, but the staffs were kind enough to prepare a takeaway package since I needed to catch an early ferry back.

Room was clean, but had many ants crawling by the TV monitor. Not a big issue for me, but may be better to be prepared if you're not used to small bugs.

Do yourself a favour and stay here! This is our second time staying here and we love everything about it. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and the location is gorgeous. It's a spot of heaven away from the busyness of Singapore. We came in September and tried a few restaurants around, until we found Michelle's french restaurant next door which we fell in love with. This time we ate every meal there. We will be back! Staying in February meant we could kitesurf and the set up is incredible, the staff are so attentive and go above and beyond to make it a great experience!

That we had to leave!

Staff was very friendly and attentive. Many water sports and activities are offered, if that is your thing. Simple but delicious breakfast every day. The place was peaceful and beautiful. Although in a quieter part of Bintan, a diverse range of food options are available - there are many lunch and dinner options within Ten Rooms itself (tried the mee goreng which was delicious), relative to local prices it was slightly more expensive but still very affordable (less than $5). Then you've got the kelong seafood place a few minutes walk away with seafood fried rice for only $2, and a French restaurant next door which is pricier but still very reasonable ($12 for a very generous portion of shrimp pasta, cooked fresh and with heart). Overall, Ten Rooms shows that Bintan can be definitely affordable and enjoyable.

I was very satisfied overall, just that the coffee served at breakfast was not the best. Recommend that you bring your own instant coffee. The shower is rather weak. The place is more than an hour's drive from BBT port, and it's $30 for transport. Well worth it in my opinion for the lovely little piece of paradise!

The full breakfast was very good! There are some bikes, paddle boards and kayaks that may be used directly from the resort. The resort is very clean and well maintained. The place is calm and directly on the beach. Mawie was a great host and gave me a ride to get to attraction close to the resort. I recommend this place.

From my experience, nothing!

Bed was comfortable, room was clean and I like the minimalist island decor of my room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt very safe staying there as a solo female traveller. Water at the beach is shallow and warm. Planet Samudra next door is a wonderful place to hang out for pizza or dinner and drinks. Just walk left by the beach and you can see it, 20 steps away. The warung outside has delicious Padang food and gado-gado which I had for 4 days straight for lunch. There is also a convenience store outside next to the warung (literally 10 steps away) where I get my teh botol sosro. So it’s pretty convenient. The hotel also serves excellent nasi goreng and other food. My intention was to simply laze around the beach in a quiet environment and that’s exactly what I did. As it’s very popular for kite surfing, you can watch people kite surf the whole day and try if you like. The hotel provides instructors and gear for a nominal fee.otherwise there is stand up paddle board for free. They also have massages that you can either take in your own room or by the beach. If you need hot water showers then you need to time them when the water tank has been heated by the sun around 12pm-3pm is a good timing. However most days when it’s warm, a cold shower is not that bad! There is also a water point that you can fill up your water bottle with hot, cold and room temperature water. I am looking forward to coming back here!

Would be great if we had hot water showers all day for cold nights especially or rainy days

The service staff, everyone is friendly, helpful and always with a smile. The kitchen staff are so accommodating with my food requests and remembers what I like / don't like. Appreciate the thoughtfulness. The room is basic and clean, the accommodation is at a location where I can see both sunrise (from my room) AND sunset (I paddled out and looked towards the shore. How wonderful to wake up to the view and the sound of the sea breeze, rustling leaves and chirping birds. Love it!! They have bikes for you to cycle and explore the island.

The light in the toilet can be fixed, not sure if the mozzies are coming through the hole in the ceiling. There's no housekeeping, which is fine but a broom may be helpful so that I can sweep out the sand that got accumulated over the days. If you are sensitive to sandflies, try to cover up when you go to the beach at dawn and dusk. If you are thinking of a swim in the morning, plan your trip according to the nup tide, it will be very helpful.

The TenRooms staff is super friendly and attentive. I highly value the very personal and almost family & friends like atmosphere. When leaving we didn't just got to know a new hotel or resort, but it felt more like we made new friends. We stayed at TenRooms to go kiteboarding. The location is not just an excellent kiteboarding spot, but the staff is also super helpfull around anything about kiting - from setting up the kites to helping to launch to helping with kite repairs. All staff knows how to kite and half of the staff are even kiteboarding instructors - so you are in excellent hands here. Also on land the staff is super helpful (as an example: When we walked to a nearby restaurant it started to rain and one of the staff, who knew we were going there, got on his motorbike to bring us 2 umbrellas). We will definitively come back, making this now a regular getaway for us.

Breakfast (which is included) and lunch menu could have a little more variety. Other than that I didn't miss anything.

The staff were super accomodating and nice. They also helped us find fun things to do. They were also super nice about out early exit. Since our ferry left at 6am we had to leave ten rooms at 5am and they had woken up eraly to make us a to-go breakfast. The rooms were super clean when we got there and they were surprisingly comfortable. I also felt safe leaving my valuables there during the day when we were exploring the island.

Some of our firend reported lizards and ants in their rooms. Also on the first night some cats had a yellinh contest behind the house. I resolved it by just putting headphones on. Also the location has very limited food place options but we were able to get a taxi for a reasonable price and they drove us around the entire day.

Very friendly staff that makes you feel like family. Feels like coming home.Good homemade food. Peaceful, quiet beach. I will come back again.

The property compound was clean but what was sad for me to see was the plastic pollution washing onshore.I know it's not a problem that is caused by the property. They do their best to keep the property clean.

Mawi, Dela and all the staff were first class. Very welcoming and helpful. Rooms, aircon and bathrooms were good. The menu served was fantastic and the Indonesia food excellent. Lovely table area overlooking the beach to eat and rest. Use of paddle board and kayak.

An extra shelf/storage in the room would be good.
