It’s my 2nd time to stay in this hotel and never dissapointed. The hotel itself has open air and greeny forest theme which i really love it. Despite there’s plenty mosquitoes around. The breakfast has western & indonesian options and the menu always changing everyday, which is good. They also have fresh jamu. The staffs were awesome, they always greeting you everytime you bumped with them and also very helpful. They have smart tv (Netflix & Youtube), internet has good enough speed.

Plenty mosquitoes on dining area due to too many plants and open air theme. No fridge on the room. No in-house laundry but lucky there’s laundry accross the street.

+ The Design: breezy, full of greeneries. Even if you do not have views from your room, seeing the creepers outside and along the corridors are relaxing. + The Sustainability Concepts: since opening, the property is consistent in their sustainability efforts. Kudos! + The Location: right at Prawirotaman, enough said. + The Service: great hospitality from the staff, a standard you expect from higher-end properties.

- The Maintenance: some parts of the interior (sliding doors, wardrobe partition, the flooring, etc) start showing its age. I understand the usage of cheap(er) materials to keep the hotel rate down, however, it is starting to deteriorate, fast. Some of the water (or Aircon?) pipes on top of the corridor are dripping, make it even more slippery.

The hotel is beautiful and unique because of the amount of green inside and outside. Location is perfect, there are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby on walking distance.The hotel also has a lot of facilities like breakfast(buffet), restaurant, spa and swimmingpool. The staff is very kind and can help with booking trips or transport. Highly recommend this place!

Swimmingpool is inside right next to dining tables of the restaurants. If people/kids are jumping in and out the water you're sitting very close by.

The staff provides excellent service, they’re incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery. The location is fantastic, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, yet it remains quiet at night. The on-site restaurant is great, and the breakfast is delicious.

The pool is available as stated and shown in the photos. However after staying in the hotel, I find its location in the middle of the hotel less than ideal. It means that guests in swimwear or without shirts walk through the restaurant, which can be a less pleasant experience during meals. It might be better to provide some visual or physical separation between the pool and the restaurant and lobby for added comfort and privacy.

The pool is really nice with all the greenery. The rooms are small but comfortable and the bed is really comfy. The staff is very friendly and helpfully. A lot of restaurants and cafes around by walking distance.

We opted for breakfast outside the hotel even tho we had paid for it because it didn’t look very inspiring.

Beautiful interior full of greenery with quite big pool, I loved the minimalist design and eco friendly attitude even if some marketing was involved. Gym and spa available. Breakfast was simply amazing with the best local food we tasted so far and great variety but coffee was to be improved. Being vegetarians we got plenty of options. Localization is good, in quiet street with plenty cafes and warungs within 2-10 minutes walk and amazing massages around 10-12 minutes away on foot. All attractions are around 25-30 minutes by walk. At last but least people were so nice and helpful. We loved this place and did not want to leave.

If you claim to be ecofriendly do not use small plastic bottles for gel or shampoo. Use refillable ones.

Without a doubt, this was the best place I've ever stayed in - A calm sanctuary in the middle of a fantastic yet bustling city. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming making me feel very much at home 🌟 I had the best sleep here that I've had so far on my travels with the most comfortable bed and environment. The whole place is very clean, eco friendly and even has a beautiful smell to it. Facilities were outstanding - a swimming pool in amongst beautiful green cascades of plants; delicious food at the restaurant with a nice atmosphere created by smooth saxophone music and scenery. A highlight for me was their tea spa massage options - this is a paid extra but fantastic value and incredibly relaxing with highly skilled and professional staff! There are also very comfortable spaces for reading and writing in ambient spaces. I loved my stay here so much that I considered extending my stay in Yogyakarta for longer just to stay here!.. but the travels must continue Thank you so much ❤️

That I didn't book for longer!

The uniqueness of the hotel makes it special. You have to try the massage it's really good and really cheap too. The location is okay, there is a street with a lot of restaurants but for everything else you need to take grab which is okay.

The bathroom was dirty with some hair when we arrived. Also some facilities like the toilet paper holder is really old and crusty with metal so could be dangerous and they only give one toilet paper roll, it's usual etiquette to give two so we had to ask for more.

Yogyakarta - cultural center of Java, filled with workshops, galleries, a culinary paradise, extremely friendly locals, famous temples, agricultural wonders, vibrant city, youthful, where harmony, art and culture strives, dynamism on the streets, markets, and art studiosl. Famous for its shopping streets of well made clothes, accessories, batiks, jewelry, art. Take a ride with a friendly becak ready to take you wherever you want to go. Yogyakarta is well known for its temples, but for me, magnificent street art. Its ornate royal complex encompasses the Sultan’s Palace, within, numerous open-air pavilions and baths, that host classical Javanese concerts of gamelan music of gongs, chimes. Afternoon thunderstorms are a blessing, the prayer chants apease the soul throughout the day, the city exhudes life! So glad to have had this opportunity!

I stayed at Greenhost for a week, primarily passing the time waiting for certain appointments I had made. It was a wonderful place to just relax--room service, the restaurant, and the pool were all incredibly comfortable for me.

These are really just minor things--I don't have any serious complaints. I will note that the lounge music near the pool and restaurant was repetitive at times. In addition, the pool ladders were not able to support my weight, and the edge was incredibly slippery, which made getting in and out of the pool difficult at times. Even still, I don't think there was anything that needed to be changed; everything was incredible here.
