Snooze is a home stay hostel. And that is how it felt, like coming come. When we arrived the amazing girls greeted us with so much enthusiasm and love. We got some coffee and a hostel tour. During the tour someone else brought our heavy backpacks to our rooms. Inside the hostel they have amazing breakfast with fresh fruit, which is being made for you by their chef. They also make their own ice cubes so no worries about that while ordering an ice coffee. Everything is so clean; the rooms, toilet, shower (which is cold but we loved it after a hot day), kitchen and living room. They even have an amazing jungle garden. All the girls are so personal and love to make a chit chat with you. After a day in Yogyakarta coming back in the hostel feels like coming home again. “How was your day, did you enjoyed it, what did you do? Do you want some coffee?” Loved that! Besides this we got to travel with the hostel driver: Imam. He drove us to Borobudur and Prambanan. It was an amazing day, Imam is amazing. We learned and laughed a lot with him. After the day he felt like a good friend. Would recommend everyone to drive with Imam for the day. Ask the reception if he is available and you will have a lovely day.

I loved everything!!!! The staff are so wonderful and friendly and helpful. The hostel itself is so incredibly clean, despite sharing bathrooms & showers they are kept so clean that you don’t realise other people even use them. The room was spotlessly clean as well and really cosy & comfy in the dorm room. The breakfast is excellent and there are lots of places to sit and chill out and chat to other travellers. Location is really nice in a quiet, well presented area and nearby to lots of museums.

Nothing :) Only suggestion would be to maybe create a WhatsApp group so guests can see if anyone else wants to join them on the tours

Our stay at Snooze, a beautiful homestay in Yogyakarta was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome—every member of the staff was just AMAZING! They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. The warm welcome was only the beginning, as we were offered refreshing drinks constantly, which was a lovely touch, especially in the tropical heat. The breakfast each morning was a real highlight. It was clear that it was cooked with love, full of delicious, local flavors that made us feel right at home. The place itself feels enchanted, surrounded by lush greenery, with plants that are so well looked after it adds to the serene, natural atmosphere. Everywhere we looked was impeccably clean and organized, showing how much care the team puts into maintaining this wonderful space. Admittedly, I was a bit unsure about the “no hot water” situation at first, but it turned out to be quite refreshing and actually ideal given the warm climate in Indonesia. After a day out exploring, the cool water was surprisingly comforting! A big thank you to the whole team for their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail. We truly felt like part of the family here, and we hope to perhaps come back soon to relive this wonderful experience.

I honestly liked the whole thing, the scenery, the location, the staff, the food and everything.

Loved everything, the staff were so friendly and everything was super clean and comfortable, would for sure reccomend this place!!

Only down side is the staff helped me book my train to the airport (which was very helpful), but even after checking it was a domestic flight they still sent me to the wrong airport (also my fault for not triple checking) and I nearly missed my flight and it cost me a lot of money to get back to the other airport, that was only 30 mins from the hostel 😭 was so stressful. But other than that can't fault anything and that was partially / fully my fault!!

Snooze is absolutely delightful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The communal areas are lovely to spend time in, very bright and filled with plants. There are lots of places to sit both inside and outside. There are plenty of bathrooms and showers and there is always toilet paper and soap. Everything is spotlessly clean. There is a choice of delicious sweet or savory breakfast every day, normally types of eggs and a pancake/crepe/french toast option, which comes with a fresh fruit bowl and a coffee/tea. The kitchen area was perfect for me to heat some leftovers. It's not really a 'party' hostel as it's quite small, but I had a few great conversations over breakfast with guests, and met some people to go to dinner with. The area is very quiet and felt safe at night. It's walkable to a few of the big attractions, and 5-10 mins grab bike (less than 1 dollar) to all the other local places in the city. I would definitely recommend it! The room looked exactly like the pictures.

There are only cold showers, which they are very clear about in the booking but good to know. My room had Aircon but some rooms don't so just check your booking if that's important to you. The Aircon is pretty noisy as is usual with the standard unit but also worth knowing.

We’ve stayed for one week at snooze. Rooms and shared spaces are very clean! The garden is beautiful, breakfast was very good. Environment is quiet and very relaxed. The service was outstanding. With everything they offer help and gave advice and assistance on sightseeing and activities. We were sick during a few days and we wouldn’t have want other place to stay. Those girls backed us up! They are all angels. overall it was the best hostel experience we had.

Hostel doesn’t provide activities, but they make this up with helping you with everything you can do around. They do have a very nice relaxing place and plenty of room to connect with others if you like. The matrasses are a little old.

I couldn’t recommend more this place. Honestly, one of the best hostels I ever been in my life. The location is very central, 10 min away by walk from Malioboro street and plenty of restaurants are close too. The room and facilities are perfect are beautiful. But the best is the staff, I’ve never been in a place where the staff is so devoted to help you and feel you are at home. They offered us a welcoming drink and showed us all the facilities to make sure we knew everything we could enjoy. They help us to book a driver to go to Borobudur and other places, which was super easy booking process and very reasonable price (also the driver was super helpful, nice and lovely, his name was Imam). Breakfast was delicious and 5 stars and the staff even helped us to find amazing local restaurant to eat truly Indonesian food. If one day I come back to Yogyakarta, 100% I will go back to Snooze.

Absolutely nothing

Snooze was (by far) the best hostel I've stayed at throughout my backpacking travels across Asia. The staff really do take it a step further to make you feel at-home and comfortable, and I was glad to have ended my Indonesia trip with them. The facilities and the environment overall made all the difference too, especially since it's perfect for a bit of leisure and work time. And the best part is that they have branches all over Indonesia too, apparently: in Malang and Banyuwangi. I'm definitely looking forward to staying-in with Snooze again in the future, and hope to see them branch further out in the country. You haven't seen the last of me!

Snooze hostel was way above my expectations. The whole place was great, has a lot or charm and is very comfortable. Rooms are spacious and the bed is comfy. It's clean, quiet and very good maintained. The staff is nice and always there to help with everything. Breakfast is nice, the coffee shop on the site as a bonus and the location is just great. Highly recommended!

Everything was great. The only potential downside could be the lack of hot water but it's all fine, as the water is not actually cold, rather room temperature.

One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in. We were travelling Malaysia and Indonesia and this accommodation really stood out to us as one of the best. What makes this place special are the staff. They are so genuinely caring and helpful people. They constantly check in with you and they could not have made our stay with them more pleasant and enjoyable! They always have suggestions and recommendations and they make an exceptional effort to do their absolute best to make your stay with them one of the best you’ll ever have. For the setting of this accommodation, it was so rejuvenating. The property is completely covered in greenery which is so beautiful. They are so many lovely spots to enjoy some apple juice or just to chill out!! The lovely cold showers are so refreshing in the morning time. The facilities and kitchen are so handy. You need to select the breakfast option because starting your day with a bowl of fruit and a sweet or savoury meal was the perfect start to any day. The food is of an extremely high standard. Overall, the vibe in the place is really something special. One of the best experiences I’ve had in an accommodation and I have travelled to many places in Asia and Europe. I cannot praise this place enough!
