I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The rooms were very spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with a variety of amenities that made our stay comfortable. The location was perfect, making it easy to access nearby attractions, and the the parking in front of the hotel was really convenient. What truly stood out, though, was the staff—helpful, friendly, and always available to assist with any requests. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a hassle-free, enjoyable stay.

My stay was fantastic—calm, clean, and with very professional staff. I visited last year, and the high standards remain unchanged this year. The Christmas decorations added a lovely touch to the experience.

While the stay was cozy and warm, especially in this harsh winter, there’s room for improvement. The thermostat in the room was practically useless—turning it on made things worse, and shutting it off entirely still left the room uncomfortably hot, which was quite annoying. Additionally, the rooms were too dark, and the lighting could seriously use an upgrade.

I want to specifically thank Kardo and Gullan, the receptionists who were extremely welcoming and professional. Their respectful and courteous service made my stay even more enjoyable. ————— Also, had a wonderful experience. The room was clean and calm, providing a very comfortable stay. ————— I just highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay

The air conditioning is bit lower on 1 room but didn’t report it because it was good overall , however on the other room it works fine

My stay at Copthorne was undeniably one of the finest hotel experiences I've had in Kurdistan. The reasonable price, coupled with their unparalleled hospitality, left a lasting impression. In fact, I'd go as far as saying it's one of the best I've encountered in over 20 countries where I've stayed in hotels. A special mention goes to Kak Ari, the receptionist, who kindly upgraded our room for free – a gesture greatly appreciated by my family. And not to be forgotten, the friendly doorman, Suhaib, who added a warm touch to our arrival. The overall cleanliness of the hotel, the reliable internet connection, and the room itself were all highly commendable. We also indulged in a decent breakfast, although there's room for some improvement in that department. A noteworthy aspect was their thoughtfulness in providing us with a baby bed, which added greatly to the comfort of our stay. All in all, a memorable experience at Copthorne.

Nothing really, a quiter ventilation would be a good extra

Upon my arrival at the Copthorne Hotel Baranan, I was, yet again, reminded why this no-nonsense establishment holds a special place amongst my vast array of hotel experiences. Its optimal location merely a stone's throw from the business district of Salim Street makes it a haven for the discerning business traveler. The hotel itself, with its leanings towards the pragmatic rather than the ostentatious, knows its audience well. And oh, how could I overlook the heart and soul of the hotel - its diligent staff? Suhaib, the affable bell boy, was the epitome of courteous efficiency, ensuring not only the safety of my luggage but also the instant upliftment of my spirits with his genuine warmth. Furthermore, the recognition from the front desk manager and the complimentary upgrade to the ever-efficient Junior Suite only solidified my appreciation. Their recent upgrades to the in-room entertainment systems and televisions were a welcome surprise, clearly indicative of their dedication to enhancing guest experience. As for the dining, Salute, their once Italian-themed restaurant, remains a testament to culinary prowess, even though it now flirts with Japanese flavors.

While the hotel's efforts to keep up with Sulaimaniyah's gastronomic trend by introducing Japanese cuisine is commendable, their sushi foray left much to be desired. The offering was, for lack of a better word, underwhelming, warranting a mere 3/10 on my personal scale. One could only wish the sushi experience was as delectable as their past Italian masterpieces. Furthermore, while I laud the Junior Suite's practical design, the more expansive suites could use a tad bit more innovation in their layout. Merely enlarging hallways and entrances without adding practical utility or aesthetic charm may not appeal to every guest's palate.
