Although we arrived late and left early, the staff were very accommodating and reception stayed open surprisingly late, allowing us to settle in and even borrow a DVD for the kids to watch from their collection. The gated apartment grounds felt very secure and we had a reserved park right outside our door. Had a lovely apartment with washer and dryer which meant I could leave the next day with our washing taken care of. Sadly, we missed out on making the most of the location and pool as it was just an overnight stop, but next time we're in Port Augusta, we will definitely stay again and likely a bit longer to better enjoy our visit.

The fact a spa option was offered - needed it desperately for physiotherapeutic reasons, and while I’m on the shorter end and the spa was on the larger end, I could stretch completely. The set up of the whole complex is nice, architecturally far from standard or boring, the illumination at night making it feel like being in a holiday resort. The room was separate from others, making it nice and quiet and secluded. That was underlined by the vegetation in the back, leaving enough space for a nice view on the water but also not feeling exposed to the promenade visitors. The fact that it had a veranda at all was also very nice. And last but not least the gate at the entry and the on-site parking close to the room gave a good feeling of security!

The one thing we didn’t like too much was the atmosphere in the kitchen/living/spa area. This was purely functional, no nice design touch, the tiles making it pretty cold, particularly stepping out of the spa. And having the spa “in the kitchen” felt a bit odd. I think an easy an inexpensive way to kill 2 birds with one stone would be to install a curtain to separate the spa from the rest of the room (you could still pull it back if you want to watch tv from the spa).

The "staff" were so very helpful and friendly. All the amenities are the best we had seen on our travels. The price is also worthy. The rooms are so very clean, equipped with everything, cutlery, plates, kettle, toaster, (which isn't supplied in a lot of stays, or plates, cutlery) so we where impressed. We recommend this place as a worthy stay. Our map took us in the wrong direction. When coming off the main highway, take the second corner on the right, and continue to the end, they are at the end, on the right.

High quality room, clean and modern, laundry facilities, comprehensive kitchen and big fridge, lovely living room and aircon. Stayed here before on a similar trip across the country, kids love the pool and once inside this place it feels secure. Playground just a few steps away and heaps of shops nearby

Venture outside of the hotel felt like a risk, did not feel safe at the local woolies or in the carpark area and that was during the day time. If you're travelling with family be vigilant - but I would stay here again since this for me was an essential stop from WA through SA. Kids did complain about their bedroom being at the front of the unit next to the entry door and away from the parents room and not feeling safe; smart youngsters

The two ladies on the front desk were lovely and polite and efficient, which was appreciated as I'd be driving for 10 hours. The room was perfectly clean, the shower hot and powerful, and there was a washer and dryer in the room — an added bonus that I made use of. The whole complex was gated, which i really liked as Port Augusta is one of the dodgiest towns I've had the pleasure of spending a night in

The area — but to be fair I think Port Augusta, generally speaking, has the same level of culture as a small pot of yoghurt.

secure, modern and comfortable unit in a big gated complex. Clean with a great bed and good blackout curtains. We were in a rear unit close to a (not busy) road so no view but quiet and pleasant. Adjacent to a playground and park and the water - secure entry directly through a side gate. Super close stroll to a Woolworths and a little further walk on to a big Coles. A good base to spend a few days - this trip was to visit the Arid Botanical Gardens which were terrific. Reasonable price given the quality.

Great location - right by the water & close to Parkrun which was part of the reason we selected the town for our stop. There is a Woolworths right across the road. The parking is plentiful & the rooms are spacious and well equipped - we got all our laundry done & it has a nice big fridge and kitchenette. We really enjoyed the DVD library for a bit of an old school blast from the past. The bed was very comfortable.

It’s a very small detail but would love a sheer curtain behind the blackout curtain so you can have some privacy without completely blocking out the sun.

Having stayed at this place a few years ago, I wondered if it had maintained its previous high standard. And of course, it had. Staff were helpful and efficient. The apartments are comfortable, quiet and secure. They have everything you need for a short or long term stay. And located right on the water.

My only criticism, and this is one that others have mentioned, the cleaners trolleys are too noisy as they rumble around on the access paths. Pneumatic tyres on the trolleys would solve this problem.

I did book and pay for a 2 bedroom apartment.. Only because my husband doesn't like to have any light showing when he tries to sleep. He goes to bed before me.. I would have only used the room as a reading room not to sleep. The bedroom did have doors that closed but they were frosted glass. No way to keep the light out. When closed the room was a bit stuffy. And not much room for suitcases in there. The only other thing was the microwave was a combi oven and it had an isolation switch at the end of the bench.. a bit difficult for oldies to figure out. But a friend helped us.

The location was good as it within walking distance to shops , pubs and cafes. The apartments were clean and tidy, The bed comfy & all necessities needed for our stay. It was also quiet with parking nearby. Ideal place to stay for anyone on route to the outback.

The decking areas outside of the apartments were covered in bird excrement, the tins being used as ash trays had old cigarette stubs in them and the chairs and tables in need of a good clean.
