We enjoyed our stay at Le Acacie, overall it met our expectations. we were in the residence rather than the hotel so we did not have any meals there.. We self catered for breakfast and went out for dinner, note you need a car of course, there are no restaurants in walking distance other than the hotel itself. Its right on a nice beach, which has a free beach area as well as hotel sunbeds etc available to hire. Nice pool area also.

Overall we felt it could do with some sprucing up. The WiFi worked intermittently in our apartment, but was fine on the beach. We had apartment 11 which was a bit tucked away, the upper floor sea view apartments are probably the ones to go for.

We liked the apartment in general: spacious, clean and with a nice view of the sea from the balcony. We used the shuttle bus to the city centre of Capoliveri in the evening: that is an amazing service. There is a residence parking space nearby the apartments. The swimming pool is well maintained..

In our opinion, the apartment would better need a renovation because it has pretty old furniture ire and the kitchen should be equipped with more utensils. There is a tennis field but we had to pay 10 euros extra even if it is part of the hotel/residence. The tennis field is put together with the kids' football area which made it difficult to play tennis.

We booked an apartment and got one in VillaVerde, right on the beach, which was great. The apt was clean and had two floors, which we did not expect.

We were far from the hotel, so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool and the entertainment there, or the amenities there (it was about a 10min walk uphill). The wifi was non-existent (basically there was only one spot in the whole apt, on the floor, in the corner, where we had to huddle if we wanted it. The whole apt was quite run down and in need of renovation - rusty handles on the kitchen cabinets, mouldy umbrellas on the terraces. But nothing too terrible.

The hotel is situated in a perfect spot diectly on a sandy beach with breathtaking views across the sea and island. The grounds of the hotel are well kept with lovely gardens and palm trees.

I have no idea how this hotel is 4star rated. At £150 per night for self catering accommodation I would expect something half decent. Staff were not rude but totally indifferent. Took 1hour to check us in at 9pm with a 4year old and a 6month old baby in tow and waiting in 35C heat. Our room was not suitable and the staff had me trailing all round the hotel to look at identical awful rooms. Our room was the best of a bad bunch, but was so outdated, hard matresses, no facilities such as a high chair for the baby. The shower door fell off while my 4year old was in there. A cot for our 6month old was an extra 10€ per day and despite requesting it in advance I had to ask 3 times until it arrived to our room at 10pm, meanwhile my baby was sleeping in our arms. The cot was broken but useable. My sons room had nothing but a metal bunkbed with no safety railing and one cupboard. Not even a lamp. The floor was sandy when we checked in so we had to sweep it. Use of the hotels beach cost an extra 20euros a day. There are no shops nearby and the only small cafe sells bottled water at 3euros for 1L, which you have to buy because the tap water is disgusting. (We had previously been in rome and tuscany and the tap water was fine). The hotel offers meals, we tried breakfast which was a italian/german buffet style at 12euros per person. It was ok but not worth it so we ended up going to a local supermarket to stock up.

Misleading photos, very old funritures (Residence Elbazzurra). Half broken aircon. Dirty floors and kitchen exhaust fan (2cm thick dust). I would have never booked that place had I know the quality of the rooms. Also, they no longer provide towels for the beach or the pool so bring your own ones! Extremely disappointing.
