Third time at Monteborre and just as happy with our stay as the first time. Lovely setting, clean and nice rooms, very friendly and helpful personnel (a special mention for Tatiana who is the perfect breakfast host; good humored, smiling, preparing great omelettes, and always ready to offer you another coffee), and then the very relaxing swimming pool. Stefano is a very friendly and entertaining host who runs his business impeccably. And... he makes some excellent wine too!

Large modern room with a large tv and soft bed. Good views from the top level and the building has a lift too. The staff/family were very friendly welcoming to the property. The free parking is secured within the gates of the property.

Very limited breakfast offering and serving time. Milk for cereals has to be requested each time. There were only 2 options of homemade cakes, which were the same/leftover on the following day. On our first breakfast there was plain croissant each, the following day there were none. We expected a wider range of pastries, juice and fresh bread available for what was described as an “exceptional” breakfast. There was no information about the wellness facilities or how to access them.

Loved every minute at Monteborre. Property, grounds and especially pool area are immaculate. Everything is done in highest quality materials and furnishings. Moreover, Alessandro and Sergio are dedicated hosts, fluent in English, full of wonderful recommendations for area visits. They know their region especially well. Breakfast is fantastic, including fresh eggs picked on site the very morning. I will return, the sooner the better.

Water pressure in shower a bit on the low side, but still remains a 10/10 property to me. :-)

It was a lovely holiday in Monteborro. I messed up with the booking and Stefano was very hospitable, promptly arranged a room for us earlier than agreed. Very clean and nice hotel, super comfortable service. We stay in Venice room, it was big enough. There was a feeling that we came to visit friends - delicious breakfasts on our request, pleasant communication with Stefan and his family, Nicole and other staff. Would definitely return. Our children were also very happy with their stay here - enough area to play.

Very special place, The rooms are big and so beautiful, with special design. Mr Stefano is a designer, he designed the hotel. Mr Stefano was very kind and helpful to us. He helped with reservation for diner in a very special restaurant. I recommended this place.

The room was super nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and polite. It is very easy to become friends with. The comfort of the customers was the first priority. The owner of the place, Stefani even tried to get us late night dinner:) The breakfast was delicious too. Yogurt, jams and cakes were prepared by the wife of the owner. They were very tasty. It is also very child friendly. There is a big garden in which kids can run and play. They also bring seasonal fruits. Also, the pool is very nice and clean that you can enjoy.

There are no words to desribe how kind and helpful Stefano the host and the rest of the staff are. The room was so beautifully designed, the bed was super comfurtable, breakfast was tasty and rich (coffee, bread and cheese can be requested from the staff in addition to the buffet). The garden is gorgeous!

Monteborre was beyond what we could have imagined. Beautiful space that mixes the character of historic space with the best of modern amenities. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in Europe- homemade cakes and breads, eggs, cured meats, fruit from the farm. Alessandro’s hospitality was exceptional. From helping us to find parking at our destinations to bringing out spritzes by the pool on a Friday evening… this was truly a memorable experience. What a gem!

We had the real countryside experience in this classy little hotel with great taste for details. Just staying there for one night gave a great feeling of calm and relaxation. But the best of all was the conversation we had with Stefano- the owner of the place. A previous fashion designer, Stefano is a warm and super interesting guy to talk to. A chat with Stefano will maximize your experience. We woke up to a fantastic home made breakfast that Stefano’ s wife made fresh for us early in the morning.

Wonderful accommodation, ideally located between Bologna, Ferrara & Modena. Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Great design. Nice garden and swimming pool. Really kind host.
