Friendly staff that responded quickly to issues with a very old uncomfortable stained mattress. Very nice property. Good restaurant. Spacious family room.

Old stained single mattresses. 2 separate rooms good in size but only one had a closet. Nowhere to put clothes away. No mirror anywhere except for the bathroom so if it was occupied, there were 3 adults, you couldn't get ready. Lots of space in the hallway not used for anything. Very spartan. No A/C in 2nd bedroom, only in the hallway. Nice private terrace but unfortunately right over the restaurant's kitchen from which the exhaust was directed. Not conducive to sitting outside. A great number of steps up and down to reach the room which although understandable in an ancient property, not indicated nor explained during booking. Perhaps a porter service should be offered. Pool only open in the afternoon - why? If you don't want to go to the beach there's nothing to do there.

Amazing property with historical value, nice room and very good location close to the beach. We also appreciated the restaurant both for dinner and aperitivo.

There is nothing we did not like. We just give one suggestion that could be useful in the future, which is to improve the storytelling about the property. For example, whenever someone comes for the check in it could be nice to receive a small tour of the property and a bit of history, curiosities about the territory etc When we asked about the indoor restaurant it was nice to know that originally it was a frantoio, used many years ago to produce oil (this is just an example).

I really liked the whole area – a unique and somewhat different place.

We didn’t like that we didn’t get the room we had booked and weren’t informed about it before arrival. Although they offered a more expensive room, it felt too gloomy for us, and we would have preferred a cheaper option over what we actually paid for. We don’t have major complaints about it, but it would have been nice to know about the changes in advance.

Beautiful masseria about 20 minutes drive outside Porto Cesareo. We'd booked a Deluxe room with terrace and were blown away by how gorgeous the room was, huge, with a vaulted ceiling and enormous four-poster bed, excellent dramatic lighting and so much storage space. Air-con was surprisingly good for such a huge space, although the bathroom wasn't covered and so got very hot. Lovely private terrace for sitting out on at night. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Public areas were beautiful and a good-sized swimming pool too. Easy parking. Good wi-fi.

We had intended to have dinner in the on-site restaurant but the hotel had decided to close it for the season the week before we arrived, without putting this on the website, which meant we had to drive into Porto Cesareo at night. Air-con broke down at about 6am and the noise woke us up, then the room got very hot. When we mentioned this upon check-out, the staff were not particularly apologetic and in the end - grudgingly - gave us a small refund.

The use of the swimming pool could also be extended into the late hours of the night, perhaps until midnight.

Their honesty, we had to cancel the reservation a few days in advance and unlike other hotels, they refunded all the money. Of course, two weeks later we booked again, the hotel is very nice, and the experience has been very pleasant.

I stayed with my partner for 4 nights and we were looking for a quiet accommodation in a stunning location - Zanzara has both. Very good value for money in comparison to other masserias of similar ranking. The Deluxe double room we stayed in (room no 11) was very spacious and comfortable. Bed and pillows were very comfy and we had a small and sunny terrace with sun loungers and table and chair (no roof). The restaurant on site serves delicious food and staff is very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing that is within Zanzara's control - when we arrived, the weather was quite poor and the bedroom was really cold, this is due to the size of the room and also the type of accommodation, i.e. an old building that serves a great purpose when it's roasting hot outside but not so great when it's cold outside. As I say, this is completely outside of Zanzara's control but perhaps something to bear in mind when visiting in colder months. They have smaller apartments which might be more suitable for colder weather. Initially, we were accommodated in room no 3 which has the terrace above the kitchen so there was some noise from the kitchen fans. We were then relocated to a different room due to air con issues so I can't tell how much of an impact the kitchen noise is.

This is a little unique place that you should not miss - the surroundings is quiet, and cozy at this old farm. The restaurant offers very delicious food that tastes SO good, and is served under the stars - we ate here every night under our stay, as the prices are super fine for this kind of food made out of good ingredients. The rooms is cozy and gives the feeling of staying at an old winefarm. The breakfast is nice, and the staff is friendly. There is private and safe parking for your car. Give this place a visit!

The choose for meat and cheese at the breakfast buffet. I like sweet, but after a few days of a lot of sweet Italian breakfast cakes, meat and cheese was very welcome.

I guess the regular Italian bread is not very special - like here. We had once in a week holiday in Italy fresh crispy bread, but also that was white. The.matras had a small dent in it.
