Lux Aurea is perfect in everything. An old and beautiful house with large rooms, clean and comfortable sheets, impeccable breakfast. Excellent location, close to the train station and bus stops, that makes all the difference. We will not forget about Martina. We welcome your support all the time. She helped us to get taxi, bus, good restaurants etc. Her education and availability were fundamental to the success of our experience. Thank you Martina. See you soon Meta di Sorrento !

Martina was an excellent host, she very kind and attentive and easy to contact. She went out of her way to assist us when we needed. The apartment is well equipped, clean and spacious. Towels and bathroom amenities provided. There is a lovely balcony with a view of the mountains behind the room. A tasty breakfast was also provided every morning. Meta is a great spot to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento, just a few train stops away. The apartment is a 20 minute walk down to the Meta beach where there are some lovely bars and restaurants - perfect for watching the sunset. The apartment itself has some stairs at the outside entrance, but a lift inside to access the room. Overall, we loved our stay at Lux Aurea and would recommend this place to everyone staying in Meta and visiting the Amalfi coast!

The location of Lux Aurea was absolutely perfect for us exploring the Amalfi Coast together. It’s conveniently situated in Meta and only a short walk to catch a bus or train into Sorrento. There are also many shops, restaurants, coffee shops and even a self service laundry place all within 5-10 minutes walk. The room itself was immaculate and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and be more than comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the shower very good and powerful. Each day our room was cleaned and we were given fresh towels and our bed made. The owner/host Martina was so lovely and each morning for breakfast she would prepare fresh food which was different each morning of our 5 night stay. She also helped us with local knowledge and advised us how and where to book activities or transport we wanted to use such as hiring a Vespa scooter for the day which was great fun driving to Amalfi and Positano. Also there is free parking for car/scooter located several yards away from the property, which was really handy. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and it’s the nicest place we have stayed in all of our Italy holiday and we have stayed in a lot of places so far. Thank you so much for making our stay with you special, enjoyable, memorable and relaxing.

It was not a problem at all for us but there are quite a few steps to walk up to the property itself and I think this might be an issue for really elderly people booking if they are not fit but there is a lift in the property once you reach the main building to take you to the 2nd floor where the apartments/rooms are located.

Martina was amazing and very responsive! She went above and beyond to make sure my stay was excellent, and even provided me with some sweet treats when I wasn't able to enjoy her fresh breakfasts due to a busy schedule. I was still able to enjoy a yogurt with cereal and tea every morning on my own. The room was perfect with access to Netflix and a beautiful view as a plus. Very close to the train station and bus stops. She allowed me to keep my bag at the hotel after check out, and I was even able to shower prior to leaving as she didn't have anyone checking in for another day. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

None of this is within Martina's control but just a heads up to other travelers! I didn't mind, but for those that have accessibility needs, there are quite a few large steps to reach the building, and the walk is uphill from the train station. The trains are also often delayed going to Sorrento.

Everything was amazing, the rooms were absolutely stunning with huge windows and loads of space, there was fresh breakfast out every morning which was so nice. The owner was super helpful and nice I will definitely be returning. We spent the whole time in Sorrento which was really easy to get to, the train station was about a 5-10 minute walk away and only 2/3 stops away from Sorrento. We had a lovely time do not hesitate to stay here it is incredible!

Our room was a lovely size, well equipped and very clean. The windows are incredible and let in so much light; there were no buildings behind us just views of the cliffs and lime trees so we found it to be lovely and quiet. Breakfasts were delicious and ready for 8am every morning which was perfect for us as we went out exploring most days. Perfectly located for those wishing to explore the Sorrento coast and surrounding areas. Just outside of the centre so away from the busyness but great train links so had no trouble getting anywhere. Most importantly, our host Martina was fabulous - very welcoming and friendly and extremely helpful whenever we had questions. She was full of useful tips and even prepared us a breakfast to takeaway on our last day! We would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Sorrento but wishes to avoid the busy centres☺️

Martina (the host) was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious, and a great location! Martina was verly helpful, if you need inspiration for activaties or places to see in Sorrento / Meta. With any questions, you can message her, and she replies very quickly. Great views, easy access to train station and good local restaurants and shops. Plus there's a great restaurant two doors down called Ninuccio Crocche Gigante, delicious food!

The only downside, is that there is about 10 wide steep steps to get into the building, but once you are in, there is a very convenient lift to whichever floor you need.

Once we arrived we met the host who was so warm,friendly ,kind and guided us with great patience in answering all our questions about local restaurants,transport and trips. Each morning a lovely varied traditional breakfast was served .She was a super host! Also ,smiling every day was the lady who cleaned & tidied our room .

We have nothing negative to say about our stay.

It was beautiful and relaxing, you wouldn’t know you were so central given how tranquil the gardens surrounding the property were. The room was beautifully renovated only 2 years ago and is finished impeccably. Martina was a fantastic host, so attentive and gave us so many suggestions.

The only negative, and it really wasn’t that bad, was there was a bit of a walk to the main restaurants. There is one fantastic restaurant only a 1 minute walk away though that Martina suggested: Ninuccio.

The rooms were extremely clean, comfortable and airy. Location was great, easy access to the train to Sorrento & Martina was a super friendly host.

Be aware that there are many stairs from the street into the property & carrying a heavy suitcase is tough work. Many people have raved about the breakfasts, however we didn’t find all of them enjoyable and some too ‘out of the box’.
