The hosts were very friendly and helpful during our 5-night stay. Every morning breakfast was served with various of local pastries, cereals and fresh made coffee. The Roger family gave us many useful recommendations/tips for places and restaurants to visit, and they told us a bit history about Naples, and helped us book a taxi to the airport too. The room was not very spacious but tidy, with a nice view from the window. It has air-co which helps a lot during the warm nights : ) There is a beautiful garden in front of the building.

The sound isolation is not the best, but it didn't bother us that much.

Strategically located 1 min from Materdei station, inside a grand historical building with lots of period features, high ceilings, big windows and marble floors. The property looks out onto the the beautiful gardens and classic Napoli architecture. Casa Roger is one big apartment with entry into the open plan kitchen communal area, expertly renovated and upgraded by Ugo and his son Renato. Pictures don’t do the place justice. Our booking included a bountiful Italian breakfast of sweet pastries and cereals. The father and son duo are super accommodating and gave us all the tips for a great holiday. I hope to stay here again on my next visit! Tips: Parking - there are white lines for free parking however they are often taken already by residents, we arrived late around 10pm and Ugo helped us speak to Maurizio from Stallone Car Park to secure a parking spot. The open air garage is located at Largo Corigliano, 7, 80136 Napoli NA and we had no difficult parking our VW T-Cross. If you arrive early (i.e. when most people are at work) you may be able to find a free parking spot. If you're in doubt about parking, you should book a garage space before your arrival. The Materdei area is well served with many amenities with tabacchi, pharmacy, cafes, bakeries 2 mins from the apartment. There is also a Michelin rated pizzeria 5 mins walk away if you want a late night bite - Ugo’s fave. Metro day ticket costs EUR 4.50, which also includes the funicular if you want to go up to the view point in the city - really good value

Tucked into a quiet neighbourhood of the very bustling city of Napoli, Casa Roger was a place we enjoyed coming back to in the evenings when adventures were done! There were restaurants, coffee shops, markets - metro just a quick walk away. The bed was comfortable, the breakfasts and coffee were delicious, the hospitality was top notch! Ugo went as far as scooting all around the neighbourhood to guide us to the parking garage as we kept getting re-routed or making wrong turns! Driving in Napoli is not for the faint of heart!!

We stayed five nights at Casa Roger and we enjoyed every single day. Casa Roger is located very conveniently in walking distance to most of the attractions (museums, churches, catacombs etc.) of this spectacular city, moreover a Metro station is just 100 m from the front door. We arrived with our own car and had no problems to find a parking spot close by. The owners are just fantastic, extremely helpful, very friendly, perfectly speaking English, and provided professional advice for both sightseeing and restaurants (their suggestions turned out to be just perfect). The room which we had was quiet, perfectly clean, very convenient and modern, and equipped with an effective and silent air condition. The freshly prepared breakfast was a true highlight every morning. Taken together, in our travel through Southern Italy, Casa Roger was the accommodation with the best value for money. We highly recommend Casa Roger without any restriction for exploring Naples.

Loved the staff. They were amazing. Also the room was very beautiful and clean. Loved the window to the garden and the bed was more comfortable than my own bed at home 😄 Pillows and sheets were wonderful. The location was really good, there were a lot of nice little shops within a mile. Also the metro station was practically in the back yard. Delicous italian breakfast (really sweet) in the morning. The pastries were so fresh and soft.

A kettle in the room would have been nice.

A place with soul and purpose! It's a family business and they are incredible hosts. Ugo is just amazing, he just goes beyond all the positive expectations that you can have from reading the reviews, genuinely kind and helpful. Thank you very much for your hospitality everyone =D

Ugo was absolutely amazing. He helped with literally everything from directions to get there, parking, and recommendations of everything we should do and visit. Not to mention the phenomenal breakfast that was cooked for us in the morning. His food recommendation was spot on and we had an amazing time. Thank you so much Ugo!

Be warned, driving in Naples is extremely challenging for first time Italian drivers!

Better than expected. In front of the metro station. Very safe apartment in a private area. Very clean and the hosts are just FANTASTIC. They gave me all the information and ideas on what to do around Napoli. Nearby you can find several shops (close at 9 pm), pizzeria take away as well. I used the subway to go airport and go to train station (Gibaldi) otherwise I walked most of the time. Nothing is very far. Highly recommended ! Very nice breakfast. Air con and TV in a room with Netflix. After 8 h walking around I love relaxing in a bed and watched movie.

Honestly, nothing to say.

The spot is less than a 100m from the metro Materdei, very very easy to come and go. The room is huge, bathroom as well, it has AC, blow dryer, the bed is very comfortable. Also Mr Ugo and Renato, the owners, are very kind and gave us a lot of tips about places to visit, restaurants to eat, how to comute between Napoli and the coast, amazing hosts! The breakfast is simple, different kinds of bread, juice and coffee, enough to fuel is for the morning!

The first day we arrived and had to wait about 10min for Ugo to arrive, which was not a problem since he always replies the messages quickly and at the night the boiler was not working so we had to take a cold shower, by the morning it was fixed and it did not happened again.

The B&B is in a gated courtyard and is clean and comfortable. It's family-run and they are friendly and helpful. We booked a car from the Airport and all went well. The location is great, just a few minutes from the historic centre. The Breakfast is simple, just coffee/tea and luxurious cakes (delicious!). Ugo gave us some great recommendations and the highlight of our brief 2-night stay (en-route to Sorrento) was Ristorante Reginella which had panoramic views over the Bay. That was a 30-euro taxi ride away but well worth it. Ugo and his son Renato made sure that they answered all our questions over breakfast and were happy to order taxis on our behalf. Highly recommend it as safe, friendly and good value for money.

The only reason this Casa Roger did not get a 10/10 was because the bell didn't work when we arrived and we ended up dragging cases around in the dark in the middle of a storm trying to get help to make contact with the owner. If you don't have internet on your phone, then please make sure you have clear arrangements. The owner Ugo (who is lovely) and his family were there but didn't know we were outside the gates, thankfully a local pizza takeaway helped us to make contact. There are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room (despite it saying there were in the booking info) but you can ask to be shown how to use the stove etc in the kitchen which they are happy for you to use.
