From the moment I arrived, every member of the Borgo Vecchio team made me feel like family—their genuine warmth and attentiveness set the tone for the whole visit. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the lovingly restored building brims with Piedmontese charm. The real show-stopper, though, is the in-house restaurant: silky truffle pasta that still makes my mouth water and, hands-down, the best parmigiana I’ve ever tasted. Paired with an excellent local wine list and a peaceful location right in the heart of Neive, the stay felt utterly special. Grazie mille to the entire staff for going above and beyond!

Borgo Vecchio Locanda di Charme, was everything we could wish for. We travelled 4 couples and stayed in this wonderful location for 4 nights. Spacious comfortable and clean rooms with terrific views towards the west and the sunset over the Barbaresco vineyards. We were welcomed by sweet and service minded Angelica who really made an effort for us to feel welcome and cared for. She had informed us well about Parking for the car, she arranged e-bikes for us in advance and given us plenty of restaurant recommendations. It meant we did not waste a single moment of our vacation days. Just like we wanted. We had wonderful Italian breakfast varied day by day, felt like visiting family. Neive is a small charming wine village with several high class restaurants 5 minutes from the hotel. We plan as a group to go again and we will stay at the Borgo Vecchio for sure!

Nothing to dislike at Borgo Vecchio Locanda di Charme. It is central in Neive, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.

Well appointed and spacious room with a view to die for. Friendly and helping staff. The Locanda is at a great location in Neive. We would go back in a flash.

Parking is Neive is a problem, to no fault of the hotel. The only thing missing at this hotel is a private parking, but that's probably asking too much.

The property is small, but has an excellent restaurant inside. Given the time of year we visited, this was important as we did not have to venture out much. At the same time, we were able to enjoy the tail end of the truffle season. The breakfasr, served in the room, was very good. We were even able to enjoy properly cooked soft boiled eggs. This is rare in Italy.

During the winter, being located in the heart of a charming old city is a benfit as it avoids having to travel on foggy or rainy roads to enjoy good dining as there a plenty of good resaurants and wine bars in the historic center of Neive.

We were unlucky in that the excellent restaurant located in the hotel was still closed for their winter break.

An incredible property in the heart of Neive. It gives you a feeling of a family home the moment you walk in. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The view from the windows and balcony is to die for! The staff is helpful and very friendly. Breakfast is bountiful and offers an interesting selection of local products.

Very little negative things can be said about it and they are a matter of opinion or taste and therefore better not said.

Super friendly staff, the suites are spacious and very comfortable, and the view over the rolling hills of Barbaresco is exquisite. Highly recommended.

The communication with the staff via the Booking.com app was not good. They never replied to my emails -even though they messaged me first. So in the end we had to call them to get the information we wanted. Also, my partner is vegan, and they struggled a lot with this concept. It would appear they thought that "gluten free" and "vegan" are the same things :)

Fantastic views of the surrounding hills.

This property is not an hotel. For example there is not full time reception. A lovely restaurant is attached but probably better for lunch than dinner. Food was excellent but quite expensive

Location was great. In beautiful village with great restaurants and short drive to all the wineries in the region.

Fantastic location, really lovely modern suite, balcony with fabulous views of countryside and vineyards. Excellent restaurant (we had 2 dinners + breakfasts).
