We absolutely loved everything about this property. From the beautifully thought-out decor of the house to the charming garden, every detail felt special. Mornings were a dream — waking up to the soft songs of birds was the perfect way to start the day. The bed was incredibly comfortable — I usually wake up during the night, but here I slept like a baby. The family managing the house is wonderful and cares for the place with such warmth and attention to detail; it truly feels like a home away from home. The location was also ideal for us, perfectly positioned between Como and Milan, making it easy to explore both while enjoying a peaceful retreat in between.

This is rare opportunity to feel the spirit of old fashioned Italy, don’t miss it, if you plan travel to Milan. Close to Malpensa, about 25 minutes easy drive You’ll need a car to be comfortable in this house, this is the only thing needs to be mentioned. The room is actually a large 2 room private apartment, very clean and quiet, with beautiful views from any window. Do not miss walk in the morning in wonderful garden I’d like to thank the owner, from the first minute of arrival and until the department, extremely friendly and helpful I definitely highly recommend this place and hope to have a chance to visit it again

Everything about Villa dell'Usignolo was outstanding. Our host, Ursula could not have been more kind, helpful and welcoming. She went to great lengths to ensure we had an enjoyable night out in the local town. The room was elegant, super comfy and vast. Old world charm with modern convenience. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom warm, spaciouos and very clean. The breakfast was also superb with fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh baked goods, and lots of options. It was also lovely to enjoy such a beautiful house and garden. We really hope to return here and stay longer.

Nothing at all

The room was huge and we had our own small dinning room. The windows reached the ceiling and the view to the garden was breathtaking. The furnishings were lovely and the whole place made you feel like you were living in the 19th century. The hostess was really kind and she made us feel very welcome. She even helped my boyfriend organise his wedding proposal by ordering a very large bouquet of red roses for us. When we returned to the room after our evening walk the large bouquet was on the bed waiting for us. When we saw it my boyfriend presented me with a lovely ring and asked me to marry him. I said yes!!! As you can imagine this place will always be in our hearts and we are planning on visiting again to celebrate our anniversary...

Everything was perfect!!

What didn't we like. It's a fantastic house. Greeted by the daughter, who spoke excellent English and very helpful. Bedroom, bathroom and breakfast were all excellent, all laid out into our own suite. Parking was within the grounds and got issued with the gate zapper plus house keys. The house has a great family history, great entrance hall filled with artefacts. The town was lovely, nice for an evening walk along the river. Perfect breakfast served by the lovely owner. Overall, I can honestly say this is close to being the best stopover we have ever had.

Absolutely nothing

Most wonderful house and hosts! You feel welcome the moment you set foot on the grounds of this marvellous place... Very spacious rooms, lovely smells everywhere, spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast! But most importantly and what you cannot picture in any catalogue: the good vibes... we can whole-heartedly recommend this B&B! Thank you for everything and all the best for Orsola and her family! The room was extremely large and comfortable and the house really is a treasure with original furniture and artifacts. We appreciate all the antiques throughout the home. It's a great place near the airport for early morning departure or late arrival with car. The host was lovely.

The area and getting there is industrial. We went because we did not want to drive into Milan and chose to stay near enough to the airport to drop off the car in the morning. I would have preferred a bit more options for breakfast. It's called an "Italian breakfast" but it was mostly bread products/pastries, cereal, yoghurt but no salt products, no cheese, no salami/ham products or eggs. These are items that have been offered in all other "Italian" breakfasts we have had and any of them would have been a nice alternative. The fresh made orange juice and private breakfast room was lovely.

If you’re unsure whether to stay overnight or not — 100% stay! This is one of the best places in Europe in terms of value for money. The place is beautiful, very clean, and the host is incredibly kind! It feels like visiting relatives at their countryside home, yet at the same time you’re staying in a top-notch hotel with excellent service!

We stayed in a 3 room suite with large bedroom and comfortable king size bed, separate renovated bathroom with great shower facility and a room for breakfast with everything you might want. Ursula the owner served fresh bread and cake, great selection of English tea and coffee. The garden of the villa is absolutely lovely and taken care of. Nice opportunities to sit down and relax or just watch the nature under old trees. Private parking behind the gate.

In the garden don’t forget to protect against mosquitoes.
