We have been to this hotel a number of times in the past. It is a lovely old villa that is centered right in the middle of Norcia. You can walk out the door and find all that you need in the way of shopping and services. The hotel owners have opened a great new restaurant in a newly renovated building right across the street with a wonderful outside dining area featuring great local food. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant make the Relais a very special place - always happy, smiling and welcoming. We cannot recommend this enough to the traveler seeking a true Italian hospitality experience. Thank you.

Incredible location in the center of Norcia. The historic building is majestic, with impressive interiors, bringing you back to its prime era. The staff will give you the best experience possible, they accommodated all our needs, and the ones of our 3-months baby. You must try the wellness facilities and the Vespasia, Michelin star restaurant, part of the same building (unfortunately we couldn’t). For a more casual, but still qualitative food experience, try their other restaurant “Granaro del monte”, right in front of the hotel. You will always find great gluten-free options, as good as the original dishes, all prepared with the best products from the area. Last but not least, don’t miss their breakfast, located right aside Vespasia, you will enjoy a beautiful atmosphere, with a high selection of typical pastries, meat and cheese, from the tradition, facing a breathtaking view on the mountains. A very good way to start the day. Useless to say that you will be located in the Umbria’s heart, at 1 hour by car from all the most beautiful locations around. We’ll be back.

To further improve the experience, some small details could be enhanced: - The disposable toothbrush kit, was a bit small, low quality and difficult to handle. I used slightly better ones, in other 4-stars experiences. - The gluten-free options for breakfast weren’t always the same, and served in plastic, sometimes cold. Overall good, but it might be nice to have a consistent selection proposed, as the regular one. - TV was a bit outdated, not supporting the major streaming services. Obviously not a biggie, I am a fan of no-TV when traveling, but it’d be nice to upgrade it for those not being able to go out or else (we traveled with a baby).

Excellent redo of an old palazzo. Many original features combined with modern touches. We enjoyed a really nice bathroom with two sinks and good shower in our Superior class room. A highly rated restaurant with a creative chef's tasting menu made our stay (2 nights) very memorable! We certainly will be returning for another visit.

Would be nice if our room had some darking curtains or shutters that could be completely closed. The morning sun came in very early.

I loved the classic style and charm of the hotel. There were lovely quiet areas to sit and relax, including the wonderful library. The views from the hotel are stunning and yet it is so accessible to the village, where you can wander to find some excellent food and drinks.

Very little not to like, but it would have been nice if the hotel had a bar where you could go for a quiet drink

Exceptional hospitality and helpfulness by all people working at the hotel; both at the reception and in the restaurant. Additional, the quality of the rooms, the additional rooms to read a book or even do a conference call in all quietness: all creates the atmosphere for the wonderful stay that we have had at Palazzo Seneca.

This is a dream hotel in a recovering but still beautiful city and a sublime part of Italy. From the check-in to check-out we were very happy: rooms are great, bathrooms superb, and the food/spa/staff could not have been improved

Nothing, I just wish Norcia's recovery from the earthquake would go faster...one can tell this is a proud land still putting on a good face after a Biblically bad catastrophe.

The old world minimalist decor made for a coldness

This place is amazing!! Everything about it - the facilities, the rooms, the common areas, the breakfast, the spa (which you can book for free for an hour) and of course the restaurant!! The team was so nice and dedicated to make us have the best time and the town is beautiful! I will definitely go back again!

I loved everything about this beautiful venue! Norcia is stunning, the Palazzo Seneca compliments the town and the spectacular surroundings. The rooms are spacious, excellently appointed and the view from our room, breathtaking. We had the most amazing food…dinner was delicious…using the best local ingredients. I had spaghetti with the most subtle and flavoursome truffle sauce followed by the best tiramisu ever. Congratulations to the owner, who personally introduced himself to each guest (wonderful touch) and to the team - the evening restaurant crew on 3 April - who made our stay so memorable. Thank you
